i hate to be one of those people that says negative things about people that have far more talent than they do lol but she's a little sharp at some points isnt she? nothing beats maria callas' recording of la momma morta

For sure this is not the aim of a great artist: to beat the achievement of another great artist. Those taking the opera as battle field of egos do not get much further, I believe. Of course, the two interpretations are different: La Callas is more absorbed in melancholic eternal sadness while La Kabaivanska is more implacable: both with perfect technique and compelling messages - contrast between the Ist and IInd part, the power of Love (voice colour as function of the idea).

@cduffner for your own good, especially if you are a singer yourself DON'T listen to Callas because she had the worst technique out there. Apart her interpretations, technically speaking, she is a bad as it gets.
