  • I'm finding it hard to believe that all these males have ranges higher than the females here. lol but okay...

  • @keneticam is actually common, since we have a much more dramatic vocal transformation in puberty our ranges are usually a little wider naturally (unfair I know) and the lowest the voice the wider the natural range (seems to be almost a fact), plus (in all honesty) with this "tenor fever" many males force their high voice too much (or count falseto as full voice) and that gives them many extra notes added to their natural lower register

  • @worzt wow! that actually makes sense. lol

  • T_T my voice range dropped to just G2-G4...

    I used to hit that B4... T_T

incidentally though, my falsetto is overdeveloped and can hit all way up to B5[I wouldn't try hitting that in singing. Its so strained I'll break my neck. I need a vocal teacher I guess]

I may have just to opt singing as bass/baritone >.<

  • Thanks for helping me find my range. =>

  • wow judging from these comments i can tell the cool thing for singers to do is exaggerate their vocal range... 7 octaves my ass.

  • Im a guy and i had C3-F2

C3-C5 ?? Please what kind do i have??

  • Chest Voice: F2-F5

    Falsetto: E5-E6

    Straining:F6

I'm a guy. What kind of voice do I have?

  • @BoomKia12 probably alto

  • @BoomKia12 nvm you're a tenor

  • @BoomKia12 My kind.

  • Without fry, my range is C3-F6. G6 is straining. I have a deep voice for a female, and sometimes my voice dips so low you can hear the vibrations (like a man's). I have a friend telling me I've gone as low as A2 (but I question that. B2 MAYYYYBE...). I HAVE gone up to C7 before, and my cutoff points are C5 (whistle) and C4 (falsetto). I say tenor, that same friend says barytone martin, and someone else thinks mezzo soprano. Second opinion based on these facts? (Also, I say I have no head voice.)

  • @Sunajeshsja a woman can only hit some notes of tenor's usual vocal range (and sometimes you may hit, for example, A3 and mistake it for A2), she can never be a tenor or moreover baritone. For that you would probably have to inject in your body some tons of testosterone to get thicker vocal chords. :D :) If you feel comfortable singing in low register starting from D3, E3 and your voice has a kind of "dark" timbre, then you are probably contralto, which is the lowest possible voice for women.

  • is it counted if you are in your head voice in the 6th octave? as i belt those notes in my chest voice all the way up to 7th octave. So if someone uses their head voice in 6th octave is that included in their range?

  • Well, seeing as I apparently post my range every once in a while:

Full range reached since puberty: C0-Bb7 (7 octaves and a minor seventh)

Everyday range: G1 - A6 to C7, (5 octaves and some, depending on the day)

Usable range: C2-F6 (4 octaves and a perfect fourth)

Choir range: D2-Eb6 (4 octaves and a minor second)

Overall, pretty consistently large. I don't think my daily range has shifted in over a year at least. Tone has improved drastically, as well as ease in the belting range.

  • G2-E6

    im a guy xD

  • C3-A5(chest voice)

C3-E6 and a little higher (head voice)

    I'm 17 :)

  • It sounded like you hit the whistle register.

  • so if a song is not being play at the my range I cant sing it?

  • @chuy14nba Extend your range so you'll be able to sing it, or sing the song in XXX octave lower.

  • im D2 - F5 in full voice, male

  • @randomusername35 An alto.

  • mezzo soprano to soprano ^^

  • B1-D4 in chest voice, and then falsetto up to E5(although sometimes I use falsetto to hit C4). I'm a male. Although, I'm really more comfortable in singing from D2-B3. :\

  • When she goes up its like a porno

  • c#3-g7 whats my range and what vocal type am i ( alto, soprano mezzo soprano...)

  • @TheDivaSomme A versatile soprano. Sounds like you'd be either one. If you sounds better lower then you're a mezzo.

  • @TheLestat94 What about G3-B5?

  • @Undermyskin18 An alto if you're a girl and a tenor or countertenor if you're a boy.

  • @TheLestat94 I'm a girl. And really? Because I've been told that my voice matches the mezzosoprano range or even close to soprano. In the school choir I've been classified as a mezzo by the music teacher, but she said my voice is naturally a bit higher,so I could "switch" places in the long run. It seems odd to think of myself as an alto, especially because it's very hard for me to hit the low notes, they're flat and sometimes nonexistant..

  • @Undermyskin18 Oops sorry I was looking an octave beneath that. Well you do have a versatile range, but if the lowest you can go is a G then I'd say you probably are a soprano. I'm a mezzo soprano, but my range doesn't go up to a B easily. If you reach that B without difficulty you're a soprano, but if you can only hit an E and an F easily you're probably a mezzo.

  • @TheLestat94 I have to strain a little for that low G3 but I hit the A3 which is above that very easily. As for the high notes,I start to feel a change in my voice at C5,I think that's when I move into head voice, and I can hit all the high notes up to A5 relatively easy. And this is when things get confusing: sometimes I hit the B5 with slight difficulties and almost hit the C6 above (I have to strain a lot for it) and other times I have to strain a lot for both B5 and C6.

  • G2 Lowest chest note

    A4 Highest chest note

E6 Highest note in head voice

( This is my comfortable range)

What voice type do i have? i am a male

  • @ALLLOOOOOOOOOOify you have the same range as i do *-*,also im a male

  • @ALLLOOOOOOOOOOify look it up, i think it just depends on how much tone you get out of your notes... i mean if you can hit a full octave you can sing along to any song, people forget that. I wouldn't worry too much about range, but i would worry about being able to have better tone. What that is... well, if you record yourself, show it to others and get input on what you need to improve or compare yourself to others and get better sounds out of your voice.

    Good luck.

  • @ALLLOOOOOOOOOOify Totally depends on where you sit most comfortably. If the lower you go, the stronger you feel, then you're a baritone. If your voice prefers higher notes, then you're a tenor. The next part is figuring out vocal weight (lyric, spinto, or dramatic), and how good you can make the sound before expanding your range.

  • Hi which am i? C3-G2/A2 thanks :)

  • @kenziekays01 Bass.

  • c3-c7 what am I ?

  • @TheDivaSomme 4 octave range.

  • @wennleem I know.. but am i a soprano, mezzo soprano etc, etc

  • F1 - C6

    BASS-SOPRANO PITCH FOR ME :D

  • G3 to C6. Am I alto, mezzo, or soprano?

  • @kakefyll i would say soprano

  • @kakefyll mezzo

  • @kakefyll Depends on where you sit most comfortably - if those low notes feel strange and awkward, you're a soprano. If the high notes feel pinched, you're a mezzo.

  • @Wagnerlover777 I have more trouble with my low notes, than my high notes.

  • @kakefyll In that case, you're a soprano. It's a fun part, you'll probably sing the melody for the rest of your life, or at least the middle harmony if you're on Soprano II.

  • F2 to F#4 pretty solidly in the baritone range. ^ ^

  • my range is D#2 to E4. curse you F4 for having my voice crack o_o*

  • i pretty much have the same range as the narrator except i don't have much difficulty with the c6 notes...

  • Male, 15, uhh my range is Low E to F2, can't go any higher

  • I can sing from C#2 to A5 in chest voice, and go up to about D6 in head voice. I don't have a falsetto register, my life sucks! D:

  • G To B2.... I'm a boy, is this good?

  • @Jamsessionroom1337 I mean B4.

But now i did it again and i can reach the D4...

I also recalibrated my tuner so it'll tell what frequency i was using for my notes so i could start at my truest low range.

And yeah It's G to D4( i could go to Eb but it's uncomfortable so i didn't count it) i'm a dude is that good?

  • @Jamsessionroom1337 Define good. Where you sit on the pitch chart isn't as important as how much of it you occupy.

  • @mrrodgers0 I don't understand.

I was just explaining my range.

What are you trying to say?

  • Am i the only person who thought the title was a blink 182 reference

  • @dinorawr2013 Isn't it? XD

  • I can comfortably go from a e3 to a a5. My full range though is b2 to e6.

  • i can go from the a just below c3 to e after c6 ...my voice is very similar to the narrators

  • I can go from D to C3, I generally sing bass on the rare occasion I've been in a choir. Is my range good?

  • @runescapirlife Your voice has changed. I'm a singer

  • hey ma sto messa bene!

  • so i can go from G3 to G5 is that bad ?

  • @THEluckOFtheIRISH96 That's a decent alto/countertenor range.

  • Uh i guess my range is c3-G1... is that decent ?

  • @runescapirlife ...your range got higher from puberty..?

if your low is C3 and your high is like E5 then your a tenor.

  • D3 - E7, and proud.

  • @hellofascination0x ... you can reach the 7th octave..?

  • @cynnthemanevolant Yeah, on my good days, I have a really wide range, i'm so lucky for it. But my belt notes only go as high as G5 on a really really good day, D5 is where I'm comfortable most of the time. I need to work on them, but I'm so damn proud of my E7 (:

  • @hellofascination0x you need to upload a video of you singing~! i would love to hear that =]=]

  • G1(or D when really forced, but I am only a teen) up to a D4.

  • I think im a bass o-o

  • Comment removed

  • F3 to A4. Fuck.

  • i can do it from c4 to c3 down... and c4 to c5 up im a male so im not sure what i am...well my choir teacher said i was a baritone..but im quite sure my voice has changed

  • E2-B5... im female..

  • can i ask? my range is from E3 to E5. i'm a female. in what vocal range do i belong to? contralto?

  • I think people need to realise that voice types are more based on timbre than they are the notes you can simply hit. It's definitely a fun experiment though.

  • I go from C3 to a belted B5, but in my head voice I can hit a C6. I guess that makes me a mezzo-soprano. :)

  • F2-G6

  • My range as it stands:

Full range including all notes sung since puberty: C0-A7 (7 octaves and M6)

Regular, daily range with whistle tone: G1-C7 (5 octaves and P4)

Regular range without whistle tone: G1-Bb5 (4 octaves and m3)

Range while sick: C1-Ab5 (4 octaves and m6, which is more than regular without whistle, but my voice tends to go REALLY low when I'm sick)

    Range prior to puberty: F3-E8

    Choir range that I use day-to-day: D2-F5

  • @Wagnerlover777 oh cmon, you've hit C0? that's something i want to hear, oh right its impossible.... i mean its like you would be bragging about having an invisible car....

  • @PeterDolinsek Let's just say that I had strep...and it's POSSIBLE to hit C0, but you literally have to rely on the vibrations in your body to tell you it's being hit. More or less, what's called a 'shadow-note' (and C0 is still in the lower limit of hearing at about 16.4 Hz). Besides, I doubt that I'll ever hit it again, never TRYING for it again, and I'm perfectly happy about it. It was fun, though - strep made me a SUPER-bass. Day to day? Dramatic bass-baritone

  • Girls don't have falsetto... It's you're head voice!

  • D3-F2. What am I?

  • I'm boy i'm 13 years and i have C5 ! :D vocal range

  • Comment removed

  • @cealberga96 1 octave 5 notes

  • @cealberga96 You have a tenors range!

  • my range is form c1 to g7

  • C3 to E3. What am I?

  • lowest- G3

    highest- C5

Am i an alto? or am i something else

  • Comment removed

  • ok, C#2-A6... C#2 goes to my vocal fry, can push it to C2, C4 hits my head voice, C5 hits my falsetto, and C6 hits my whistle (that's so weird, it all goes to a C) and I can do the A6 rarely, but I can do F6 fully. What vocal range is that?

  • @wafflezrawesome well it really depends, classically vocal fry and falsetto don't count as part of your range, however since falsetto is increasingly being used in contemporary music it's becoming accepted as part of ones range, although im still not sure about vocal fry. in terms of usable range (pretty much the lowest note you can make to the highest it's 4 octaves 3 notes without the a6 and 4 octaves 5 notes with, which is an insane range.

  • Thanks for the lesson :-) LM

  • my range is from E2 to A5 and im a dude, what vocal type do i have?

  • @KFac1000 well thats 3 octaves and 3 notes which is quite a lot, E2 is generally the start of the bass vocal type and A5 is near the end of the soprano scale, so it really just comes down to what range you sing in most comfortable, with least strain.

  • @cynnthemanevolant erm E2 is baritone and i would know that. Bass sing as low as F1/G1 and theyy are rare. Baritones can sing E2, Well most!

  • @cynnthemanevolant thank you! so what does it make me? am i a tenor?

  • @KFac1000 i couldn't tell you, it depends on which part of your range you sing most easily

  • @cynnthemanevolant that is the range that i sing most comfortable. at B5 im starting to feel some strain. and i can go lower but that is my vocal fry already

  • @KFac1000 vocal fry is considered part of one's range (there is an absolute range but then there's also your classical range) so what is your lowest non vocal fry note? also is b5 in headvoice? (btw B5 is incredibly high, it's the note just before most have to flip into whistle register to reach the sixth octave)

  • @cynnthemanevolant i can go low up to B1. my B5 is still in falsetto

  • @KFac1000 sorry i ment vocal fry isn't* considered part of your range.

    whats your chest voice range?

  • @cynnthemanevolant i dont know how to whistle. i can belt up notes up to B4

  • @buttermilksugar If you are a male you are a counter tenor, for a female you'd be a mezzo soprano.

  • @buttermilksugar If you are a male you are a counter tenor, for a female you'd be a mezzo soprano.

  • D3- A5 what am i?

  • I can go from E3 to C6 can someone explain if thats alright or not.....im a noob

  • @Konan2Tobi1 Course it is cool :)

  • B2-G7 is me

  • i can go from b1 to a#1 so what does that make me

  • (G1) Eb2 - C#5 (A5) I'd like to know how low can my vocal fry go, but I've got nothing to compare it to :(

  • o.o is F3-A5 good?

  • Search Table Of Musical Pitches and click the 1st link on the very top.

  • I'm D3 to C6....according to wikipedia a contralto's lowest note is higher than D3 and a soprano's highest note is C6, sooo what does that make me:p

  • B- F2... What does it mean? Is that good?

  • G3 - D5 ...

  • C3- C6, same as you. What are you? A mezzo soprano? Just curious because I'd like to know what I am.

  • Comment removed

  • C2 - C6 ;)

  • c1 d6 :(

  • whats my age again

  • I don´t understand it, honestly. I saw another video (vocal range from ...) and I can sing

    Bass: E2 (A -E9) E3 (F - A)

Tenor: C3 (All) C4 (until Ab)

    Baritone: G2 (C - F#), G3 (until A)

    Soprano: c4 (until A)

And C5 (Bb) and C6 sometimes

    So what am I ?

  • Okay, can someone please tell me what my vocal classification would be?

I'm a 23-year-old male. The C2 was literally not hard for me at all. I tried this on my keyboard at home and was able to push myself all the way to a G1, but I was reaching for it. I could comfortably belt all the way up to a C5. My D5 was a mix of head and chest voice. I switched over to full falsetto at E5 and sang the rest of the way up. The C6 was not remotely challenging. I can hit up to a B6 but it's really hard.

  • Comment removed

  • My vocal range is B3-C5 and I'm a 15 year old girl. Could anyone tell me what does that mean?

  • Comment removed

  • D to C1? What is that?

  • I can go from C3 to B4. What voice is that? (btw I am a girl)

  • :O the person singing has the same range as me!

  • so im a 15 year old girl and i got C to G2 is that good or bad?? :/ I feel like its bad :S :L

  • @NightWolfMewtwo00444 your stupidity is comical. really. he cant reach c# 8 in full head voice. THATS IMPOSSIBLE. thats extremely high even for a females whistle register. the stuff your saying, your pulling out of your ass. its annoying. please stop.

  • E1 to C#5 :D

    I'm a Tenor

  • F3-E6 Pretty big I guess

  • c2 to b5..

    meh =/

  • G2 - G4 (without Fasetto) i am a boy 15 yr,, and maybe I am a Baritone ...

    with falsetto : G2 - A5 ..

someone please count my vocal range ,, Please please ,,,,,,,,,,,,

  • Lowest note-C2 on chest

Highest-B4 on chest...G5 on mixed voice

My head/fallsetto can go upto an A6

    So wat am i?

  • @NightWolfMewtwo00444 any reason you posted this on more than 1 video? yeah no-ones going to be like "OMG NO WAY!" and btw, its impossible to reach e6 in full voice, most likely its a disconnected head voice.

  • Yay. I got B2-F#5 so WTH am I

  • @Sieg999 if ur a male ur a tenor

  • C3 to F6 WOOOOOTTT magic flute anyone???

  • Comfortable: B2-A4

    Highest: C5

    Lowest: E2

    What am I? ;\

  • @Sieg999 I'd say you're an All-round-Singer. ^__^

  • Comment removed

  • I am a male.

    Lowest fry: Db1

    Lowest Note: Eb1

Highest Note: D5 (I can hit an Eb5 sometime)

    Highest Falsetto/Head: G#5/A1 (I can hit a B# sometimes)

I am trying to figure out what I am since my range is so big, and I sing at both the bottom and top of range frequently. I usually say I'm a baritone since It's in the middle, but I often switch up between bass and tenor. I usually don't sing above a B#4, too high. The lowest note I've ever sang was a B0 (fry) the highest was a F6 (Head).

  • My range is E3 to E6. And I go into valsetto or whatever it's called at E5. This makes me a soprano right? :\ And is this going to change when I get older? Right now I'm fourteen years old.

  • E2 - F4 what am I a low baritone or a bass?

  • @skrikon youre a baritone... Thats great that you can hit an F4!

  • C2 - A5 with full voice. Although it starts to shift into mixed voice around F#5-G5.

  • your high notes are good. where you stopped sounded good to me.

  • G2-C6, but comfortable range for me is A2-E5 in full voice :D

  • oooohhh im gonna try it thank you

  • c2 - a4

  • C2 to C6 if I use my falsetto :D

  • F# - A2
