@colocha042387 Well, I can tell you why he's hard to potty train, Yorkshire Terriers are breeds that are hard to potty train, The Silky is from the mix of an Australian Terrier and a Yorkshire terrier. The Silky probably got his hard to pottytrian genes from the Yorkshire.
I don't really have tips but... maybe you can use a potty training mat or that commercial I saw of something that looks like a green carpet that's made for dogs to use the bathroom on.
my silkys name is dottie but we call her chacho, she goes to work with me everyday along with her brother, a german shepard named buddy, shes the boss and buddy knows it. she barks out the window of the truck all the way to work at EVERYTHING!!!! people smile and get a big kick out of her. shes always on the lookout for squirls and buzzes the pigeons feeding on he ground just to make them fly. we love our little firecracker. the most spirited dog i have ever owned! i think ill let her have pups
i have a question my sliky terrier noah, is about 7 months old now, but im finding it out that all the silky terrier pictures i see have their ears up, but noah's ears aren't up is this bad?
Hi. Sometimes is normal, because as your silky grows up his ears go up too. STILL, if you arent shure if they'll be up, then go to a vet, and MAYBE they can give comsehintg, like this thing (I dont know the name) that you put forward his years and they straight up.
For over a decade, I was fortunate enough to have an Australian silky terrier as my pet. This morning however, she was put down due to multiple health problems that only became clear with the onset of winter. So bright was her spirit.
Addie, I'm 21 now, but I will never grow out of remembering you and the unconditional love you gave me from day one.
I have a 5 month old silkie his name is Max... he's really cute and playful but I'm having a hard time potty training him.. any advice?
