I was playing LOMAC recently when a Ka-50 "sprayed and prayed" hydra rockets and shot down my wingman. (It was an F-15C) embarrassing...

A-10 is not indestructable the armor and backup of an A-10 is there to protect the pilot and get him home. A helicopter could take down an A-10 but a good A-10 pilot should be able to take down the helicopter first.

All it takes is skill. The loadout of a Ka-50 is more than capable of taking out a low-flying, relatively slow aircraft such as the A-10. If you can get a laser lock, you can shoot them down.

@TwistedComplex Yeah it could happen in real life if the A-10 came close enough. If it could happen in a military grade simulator then there is a small chance, at least, it could happen in real life.

Actually, its very possible. The Vikhr missiles the Black Shark fires can lock onto low-flying aircraft. The KA-52 even has the capability to use the 5th-generation R73 A2A missile.
