  • Coleman 530 was the civilian version of the 520 US military camp stove, the military version is painted OD, and has support legs on the bottom, the civilian version is nickle plated brass. You can run kerosene or lamp oil 100 % paraffin, but it can also run white gas (crown or coleman fuel aka naptha) or 87 octane gasoline, the new gasoline with 10% ethanol works very well, and the stove generator stays pretty clean.

  • I wonder if she realises that every time she replies to you on here she ups your views? And don't knock Nancy Today, she is fabulous!!! She can multi task like noone on earth!!

  • Ohh do you think she's one of those people who lives in a different era? Poor thing, maybe you should pity her and keep her entertained with youtube clips of your choice?

  • @r877mnj I tried that. She just kept saying she wanted to see more of some woman called Nancy causing traffic accidents in small towns across Eastern Ontario.

  • She sounds amazing! You should fully appreciate her and her wisdom!! This video could never be boring, I mean it's not like you're looking at the drum of a washing machine going around or something....

  • @r877mnj She put me onto the washing machine/breeze block video, actually. I think it's a cry for help.

  • This is AWESOME!!!!!!!! -wish you'd filmed it for longer - how long did the kerosene last for and what can you cook on it?

  • @r877mnj I would have filmed it longer, but a friend of mine named Aisling said I was boring the fuck out of YouTube viewers. Kerosene outlasted her attention span by about 1000 hours. I cooked nothing on it, I just filmed it.

  • Nice I need to get mine out and go through them. They say it will run on gasoline

  • @c9ari Cheers Should run on gasoline - it's the post-war revamp of the one the made for the troops wh did run on gas. Likes kero and will in a pinch run on parrafin, but as I found out it's a bit too viscous - aspirates poorly, hence stuttering flames. Worked a treat this summer when my band went to Glastonbury and boy we needed coffee.

  • @c9ari ps - check out spiritburner website - lots of good stuff there for the enthusiast/restorer!
