  • I don't think that this is anywhere near that of how the book makes the story seem.

  • well, a gram is better than a damn.

  • fabulous movie!!!

  • this is like nwo

  • The movie looks like shit.

But I for one, following the books story line, would likely have to resist the urge to snap the Fords neck.

  • Good god this looks like shit

  • BORING

  • i do not like this :(

  • i only came here to see if lenina was actually hot lmao

  • when I was a kid, I always hoped they'd make a movie of my favorite books.

Now I know better and hope they won't.

  • why isnt this available in the USA?

  • The problem is that our world is run by a bunch of Epsilon-minus's that think they are Alpha-plus's, now what in Ford's name do think will be the result......2012.

  • "For Ford's sake", hahahaha!

  • They wont stop at anything lol no more SEX guys :)

  • This Brave New World IF it was a movie made in the 90s. LOL WTF XD

  • D:

  • wtf, this is nothing like the book...

  • Wow this looks horrible :|

  • Did anybody notice that Nimoy looks just like Gordon Freemann?

  • Essentially our world now without soma, the bokanovsky process, and scent organs. Hope you sheep are ready because we'll get there.

  • @CoalMyn actually the soma's also there - the media and "celebrities" make cocaine, xtasy and all sorts of other mind altering substances seem cool to the youth,

and anti-depressants are handed out like candy

  • what is the song called, that is played from 2.16 -->?

  • @JosefinEAJ it is called "there is only me" by rob dougan

  • @Yeldogg Thank you! Very helpful :-)

  • wait wat class is at the party? the betas?

  • I read the book it was great. I kinda want to see this movie and Leonard Nimoy = epic win. But why would this not be available in the USA??

  • Brave new world was written in the 30's and its quite more modern than this that was filmed in the 90s

  • Take a good, long look people; this is our world, 10-20 years from now (if even that long)

  • @UrukHai659 im scared

  • I really wonder how close it is to the book.. and if it stays as neutral as the book does

  • 1:45 reminds me of Half life 2, but without the military, police, and inter dimensional aliens around.

  • bernard was supposed to be scrawny and short...

  • This IS available in the USA. I see it every day...

  • this was originally a TV movie in the US, and I had a copy on VHS from when it aired. Different from the book but updated

  • Sometimes I feel exactly like Bernard.Seeing all these wrong things and being unable to show them to others,to make them realise where and how they live, and where are they heading.

For humanity's greatest flaw is not it's greed, but it's arrogance. And so you just can't open people's eyes until they open themselves, when it's already too late.

  • This is dystopia.

  • Is it worth watching? I have an interest for society and dystopian vs utopian.. But it has to give me something.. Not just science fiction.

  • .....

  • looks extremely boring.

  • How I can watch this movie?

  • @tmiller9909 /watch?v=G8kCOsfM15c type in youtubedotcom before that link

  • @MrFrostyNuggz Yay! Thank you !!!

  • where is hairy benito hoover with his weird ears..haha..ps lenina is skank

  • Even if people were allowed to watch it here in US, they would love the movie because its our lives now DX

  • completly diferent from the book but still looks cool...

  • I just saw part two in HD quality here >> bit.ly\iKyvgk << the ending is really amazing!!!

  • Isn't it supposed to be like thousands of years into the future? So why are there still street lights and sky scrapers that are in perfect condition?

  • @3ISAMAGICNUMBR

it's five or six hundred years i think. the book describes most cities filled with sky scrapers. it's not all that different, but different none the less.

  • Dying swans twisted wings, beauty not needed here

Lost my love, lost my life, in this garden of fear

I have seen many things, in a lifetime alone

Mother love is no more, bring this savage back home...

Wilderness house of pain, makes no sense of it all

Close this mind dull this brain, messiah before his fall

What you see is not real, those who know will not tell

All is lost sold your souls to this brave new world...

  • Dragon kings dying queens, where is salvation now

Lost my life lost my dreams, rip the bones from my flesh

Silent screams laughing here, dying to tell you the truth

You are planned and you are damned in this brave new world.

  • The Aldous Huxley's book its so awesome that The matrix movies takes some of it.

  • who's Bernard or the Savage?

  • what is the song? with the strings and the drums? I NEED IT

  • @hermesparma The song is "There's only me" by Rob Dougan.

    This song is really amazing!

  • Brave New World's a comedy, not a comedy

  • @31lancer Ridley Scott and DiCaprio have begun working on a modern adaptation

  • BOTH HUXLEY+ORWELL R RIGHT!!...

WE CAN CALL THIS THE SYSTEM OF "THE CARROT & THE STICK"!

Tools used by Shepherds 2 Direct sheep MASSES here or there...

Carrot: Pleasure illusions Conditionning, Fake Hedonistic illusions ..

Stick: Violence+Fear tacticsManipulations with Fake Terrorism Hoaxes, Wars etc..

Both 2 keep Sheep Masses Enslaved in Lower Levels of Consciousness.. &Block Re Connection with Spirit!..

TO LOVE &THE GENUINE BE THE GLORY;)!*

  • where can you buy this dvd? Does anyone have a link?

  • okay now there are similarities and of course differences but altogether it doesn't look half bad compared to the book...but if they made a modern version of this book then who knows maybe this movie would be really impressive just speaking from my point of view..

  • So this is a free adaptation of the book right? Because it's nothing like the book I read

  • Hmm I'm glad I seen this trailer AFTER the film. It would have ruined all of the excitement!

  • @GisellaUK Thank you for this comment. I am intrigued by the concept (or what I know of it after watching half a minute of this) so I will simply watch the movie.

  • The future is Retro!

  • Come on . . . what sort of idiot screenwriters did they use for this travesty?

Just follow the text of the book, for Fords' sake . . .

  • uhhhh da fuck is this?

  • I m great fan of Aldous Haxlay.I need this movie DVD or CD at any cost.I want to show this to our todays generation that how people will become machines without any emotion. Corporate culture will make worker class who will not revolt against the corrupt system. They will take medicine to become happy,to sleep..it is happening today.Thanx for load in Utube

  • eww wat is this i hope they dun make it, i feel like it totalt disrespects the book

i hate it when directors do this! gosh stick with the words written by huxley man

  • Thank Ford I read the book before watching this trailer.

  • the guy with a tatoo on the neck represents who in the book can i please know the name. is it bernard marx?

  • you have to remember that the book was written in 1939, we can only interpret what aldous huxley saw when he wrote this thing. it looks good but different than what i pictured while reading the book'

  • @xMISSxCHRISTINAx seriously? *facepalm*

  • This looks like paradise. Why WOULDN'T anybody want it to be this way?

  • @CrocodilusPontifex because if you pay attention or think carefully about this paradise, it has a lot of bad sides to it

  • interesting in these movies, they never show us the catalyzing event that helps to usher in the NWO. They already show it when the NWO fascist regime is already implanted, guess they don't want to spoil the surprise...

  • where are all the helicopters??

  • I use to take a lot of soma, then one day I realized that I needed to face the world and how it is. At first I was in denial and tried wake my friends and everyone close to me. They could understand me. time became very real to me and I couldn't believe how much I had wasted. I started writing goals and goals and reading and reading. I became very disciplined and could not go back to the mind numbing life or part take in it with others any longer. Now it's been years and I just found this book.

  • high chancellor pj merola

  • The wonderful thing about brave new world is it is so realistic of a distopia that it still scares people today. Every single person should read it, high schools should if they don't already require it in their curriculum.

  • We had to read this book in English. Crazy, yet intersting. I like it.

  • I love dystpian fiction; but what's up with the music in the background?

  • @KiteTheRunner but how will you deal with this if it became a reality, would you love it ? with time, you would learn how....

  • @manelmariarodrigues Well, it all depends. If I were born into a world like this (like Lenina) I wouldn't know any better. This would be my world. But if the world were to change into the World State, I would rebel. I'd be John the Savage. I would rather die for my individuality than have to live as a machine that is used by the government for their own egocentric purposes. I worte an essay on this for my Lit class. You should check out A Clockwork Orange, it has a similar idea behind it.

  • @KiteTheRunner I've seen Kubrick

  • @xMISSxCHRISTINAx

    Cool story bro.

  • FUN!!!

  • This has barely anything to do with the book it looks BAD

  • At 1:15 I thought of the beginning of Half Life 2, where you always see Dr.Breen like this!

  • @cherrysweetable racist much????

  • ''Not available in the USA.'' I wonder why...

  • @LesaneRecords Not available in the USA, because they're next. Europe has already been done...

  • @LesaneRecords Because it's a terrible adaptation not worth watching

  • Haha I love that they used music from Bladerunner at the beginning!! :)

  • I don't get it, It seems like I read a completely different book, cause its nothing like this trailer

  • @TheFranel

I amy not remember correctly, but weren't we separated into groups? And none of those groups could connect? And Soma gave us all the "feel good don't question we needed?"

  • @TheFranel Not sure what you are talking about... it seemed pretty much verbatim to me.

  • Very good Edit! It contains everything :) I like very much!

  • Very good Edit! It contains everything :) I like very much!

  • Guess we found out what evil Spock did in that alternate universe- he took over!

  • This is completely different from the book. Why can't Hollywood make a movies based on books that are actually like the book itself and not some modernised, sexualised, action-packed thing which just insults the thing its based on! And also I don't know how they could have decided to make a film out of a book that is in actual fact philosophy...it's like making a film based on a Plato book.

  • They're using a song in this video that has the phrase "the American way" in it, when it takes place in London. :/ I'm confused.

  • @YamazaruEiki Thats Hollywood for you!

  • Huxley did amazing work in his life

  • I have to read this as a compulsory reading for English class... for tomorrow. I have 30 minutes left today. damn.

  • Eu adoro esse filme tem um ar de misterio...Lenina is the best =D

  • I still prefer 1984

  • @TaleOfValors They say that Huxley's version of the future is closer to what we are experiencing, but in my view, it is the trap to lead us into Orwell's vision. Both fantastic books that everybody should read.

  • um no. i'll bet this doesnt even have the satire, just like thank you for smoking

  • Its like De-Oceania

  • We're heading to a future very similar if not the same as this.....although I owuld love to go to a "feely" :D

  • @ALMAisaWONDERLAND This is now - 1984 is the future.

  • We're heading to a future like this :/

  • Is this the future you want? A genetically modified, technocratic oligarchy where people are designed for specific duties and functions in society? Where the ruling elite are the only ones granted the permission to conceive original thought? A place where human life is controlled from the cradle to the grave? You people that fancy this demented futuristic portrayal of the future need your heads examined. This is being installed now and this is what we'll get if not stopped now.

  • @cronoslogic its already here dude don't kid yourself.

  • @cypsation Actually, I know where things are right now. We are in a very bad way and things are rapidly approaching this Huxley nightmare, but we aren't completely there yet. There isn't much time left. This can be stopped and even reversed if people would just wake the hell up. All that lithium and fluoride in the water, the aspartame in everything sweet, mercury in fructose and vaccines, yeah, sounds like soma to me. Still though, be a John Savage and fight for your freedom.

  • @cronoslogic A genetically modified, technocratic democracy sounds better.

  • I can't find this movie ANYWHERE

  • Looks awesome!

  • really excited about Brave New World 2011

  • Not a good adaptation of Brave New World at all....needs more grit...and soma

  • When i watch this..O FORD I NEED SOMA!!!!

  • when i watch this..O FORD I NEED SOMA!!! XD

  • Oh, Ford.

  • find to islam and dont care about what humans do

  • The future was made for humans to PART-EY

  • SOOOOOOOO GOOD

  • Anybody notice how music/models are all from Blade Runner?

  • I like the BBC version made in 1980 better.

  • Also, where's the epic slap whenever Lenina tries to have sex with John. In the movie, he just turns his head in disapproval.

  • Terrible interpretation of the book.

    1.) Where's the caste uniforms?

2.) Bernard Marx doesn't look very awkward.

3.) Linda doesn't look like a fat, crackhead, whore as Aldous depicted her.

Plus, that's not Hypnopaedia I see!

  • this does not look like a good movie

  • This looks like a torture of the book!

  • They've got the whole thing completely wrong. But it looks like a good movie.

  • brave new world represents a soft dictatorship

  • Scheduled for 2011: Brave New World by Ridley Scott collaborating with Leonardo diCaprio who owns the rights for a movie adaption:

2009-08-06 – "Brave move for DiCaprio and Scott" – BBC NEWS | Entertainment – is (dot) gd/g0kle

  • This is the trailer for "Brave New World" (1998, by Leslie Libman and Larry Williams, US-Television, Universal Studios, 87')

    imdb (dot) com/title/tt0145600/

A US television production that is not available in the USA. Very interesting.

  • this does look sooooo 90s now!

  • whats the name of the first music?? it sounds great!!!

  • @LaZyLAYUP Hey, it's called Tales of the Future by Vangelis (off Blade Runner soundtrack)

  • This kinds of movies are slowly being removed from television & main stream media. & substituted by meaningless perverted mindless entertainment filled with violence, strip of any moral codes just like their NWO masters. The NWO Builderbegers group cosnisting of Henry Kissingers, Bill Clintons, George Bushes, Allan Greenspan, Bernankey, Brzezinski, Silverstine and now Obamas just to name the few, who want this kind of orderly dystopian Fascist Corporate Society. It is time to unite and say no.

  • @ObeeLektro There are more of these movies than ever before if you ask me.

  • @ObeeLektro You said it man! And that's why I am making my comic with heavy Metal Magazine. It's ALL about that... You'll dig it! Just go to Gates the comic dot com

I love finding like minded folks!

  • @ObeeLektro

    right on!!

  • @ObeeLektro The movies these days are the kind of movies you would expect for the people in Huxley's Brave New World.

  • @ObeeLektro because the best way to get educated and be individual is to sit in front of a screen for two hours...

  • Fuck Aldous huxley. Illuminati piece of crap!!!

  • The book is very bad. Not fun or entertaining enough...IRONY!!!!!!!!!

  • @canadianboy111 wow. that shows how your parents raised you. very sad.

  • @music72kc Actually it is my favourite book of all time. And along with Orwell, Huxley has influenced me the most as an author.

  • @canadianboy111 I don't think music72kc caught the satire or irony in your statement. despite you writing "Irony"

  • the book is amazing

  • aldous huxley is an asshole.

  • I had to read the book for 9th grade ap

  • This is the way our world is headed, for better or for worse.

O, brave new world that has such people in it!

  • BRAVE NEW WORLD IS AN OVER WRITTEN , PRETENTIOUS, PIECE OF SHIT. THIS BOOK IS SOOO UNWORTHY OF THE PRAISE. if this movie is bad..well, the directors didnt have much to work with

  • @rolo3000cle Sorry, I realize it doesn't have the depth of Naruto and Sailor Moon, which are more your speed. You're indicative of the generation of illiterate retards that our young people have become. You might not believe this, but people like you used to read for fun, and not just read what was forced on them at school. Now if it's longer than a two-page article in your VIBE magazine, you lose interest. Very sad.

  • @megarouge2001 Hey, don't make up stereotypes that are only true to a very shallow degree...I'm 15 and I read Brave New World a few months ago out of interest based on the song of the same name by Iron Maiden...and, personally, it's one of my favourite books. Not only that but every teenagre I know enjoys reading books (although a lot of them religiously stick to fantasy), poetry, philosophical texts, and essays on a regular basis and ENJOY doing it. I do too.

  • @FakeHipHopSMD That's awesome to hear!

  • @FakeHipHopSMD that sounds like myself a your age tho I thnik I was about one year younger when I read A Brave New World in my mother language which is Spannish, the translated tittle was "Un Mundo Feliz" or "A Happy World" which going on how pathetic and not-really happy thatworld was I found it deliciuosly ironic

Then again if I remeber correctly I read books most of my classmates found "fat" or too big and which I classified as only normal lenght

  • @rolo3000cle sounds like a stupid kid who was forced to read it in high school...

  • I HATED THIS FUCKING BOOK!

  • according to wikipedia theres a new film of the book coming out starring leo di caprio presumably as helmholtz watson and directed by ridley scott?

  • Doesn't do justice to the book at all- the acting's terrible and something's been lost. Can't put my finger on exactly what, but something that made the book brilliant is sorely missing from the film.

  • @TaciturnGirl that would be the inefficiency of book-to-film transitions. The movie on its own might not be bad but when compared to the book it is lacking. Also, some of Huxley's more "extreme" messages might be toned down. The caste system, Soma intake, blatant racism, etc.

  • In the future white people still can't dance! ;(

  • Hell, sad thing about this is that it seems like a better world than we live in now.

  • looks like sh|t

  • I recommend "Blocks" (Or in dutch "Blokken") From F. Bordewijk, I don't knoiw if it's translated to english but it is very good! (I am now reading a very old version of "Brave New World" it's quit good, the film is NOT better!)

  • i prefered 1984, you know huxley was orwell's school teacher in eton? (talking about the books).

    1984 is deeper

  • Man, they wouldn't be able to do this in one generation. Because people (including me) would be like FUCK THAT. It would have to be an extremely slow transition. Sort of like the one that is happening now. Great.

  • looks like it has nothing to do with Huxley book Brave New World.

  • @urban2 seriously? it was 6 minutes of quotations of the book

  • This makes me want to read the book again. I'm not sure if they got it all right...
