  • It's a deadlift/jump folloed by a front squat. Neither of those lifts require your elbows to change position. What I see is you using a lot of biceps (kinda like a bent row motion), then you use your back a bit in getting the bar to your chest. Just think these few things: 1) keep wt moving STRAIGHT UP AND DOWN! 2) jump! 3) squat! 4) elbows up, weight on delts!

  • Thank you. Yes, I've had many others give similar advice in a forum thread I made. I've been working hard to take the elbow bend out, but it's almost like starting over, as my old technique is now so ingrained. I'm trying, though!

  • You're bending your elbows before the hip drive occurs.

    Elbows bend = power ends.
