  • Thank You. Its nice to finally find an ACTUAL demo of my old keyboard in its original glory instead of all this "circuit-bending" bullshit I keep coming across when I type PSS 470 in the search bar.

  • haha I finally found it! this is the one our family had when I was like 5 years old. omg so nostalgic lol...almost wanna cry

  • Hello Michael, I consider the Yamaha PSS470 to be one of the finest PSS keyboards , especially for its analog drum sounds ! :) Regards from Chris !

  • yo tengo este teclado y es lo maximo!!!

  • @kajmahal24 You will need to correct the impedance of the signal or you will get a ton of noise and a low quality signal. Using a preamp (not just the micpre in the interface) you can warm the signal and increase volume levels. :p

  • how can i connect this to a Mac? I just got one of these because it was sitting around at my aunts un-used!

  • @kajmahal24 You cant connect it to a computer as this keyboard doesnt have MIDI.

    Hope this helps

  • @KeyboardKrazy49 aww. not even through some kind of audio interface?? what are the AUX in/out plugs in the back for then?

  • @kajmahal24 Sorry, I thought you wanted to MIDI it up to a computer or something, you can connect it via the AUX in/out jack to record to the computer, I never tried it on this keyboard but it should be possible.

    Hope this helps

  • @KeyboardKrazy49 ahh ok. yes thanks!!

  • can i connect this to a PC?

  • @994212 You cant connect it to a PC as it doesn't have MIDI on the keyboard

  • Does it have a headphone jack or another form of audio output?

  • @Extaticus Yes, it has a headphones socket and a AUX out L/R jacks at the back of the keyboard.

    Thanks for watching!

  • I thought the rhythms were the same on the PSS 470 as the 570 but with less features, guess I was wrong! Thanks for posting these videos!

  • I have on of these bad boys lol

  • i got a 470 any one want to buy it?

  • man I used to own this one too!!

  • Hi Mick. You may notice the bass changes when pressing fill in on 470 but when you press fill in on 570 the bass doesn't change. Yes interesting the differences between them & how they are very much alike but yamaha did that to make money as they do with other keyboards. As I say the 470 & 570 are re-hashes of 460, 560 like yamaha did with a lot of other keyboards. Cheers from Rich

  • Hi, how's the keyboard collection going, Do you know the Tyross 4 is out? I looked at one of your videos & when you had 51 small keyboards. How many large do you own & what is your next 1 on the list? I'm doing fine with mine getting used to the wonderful Juno & others. I've a total of 6 keyboards. I'm having PSR3000 fixed needs new rubber contact. I'm may sell 3000, my E86 & psr2700 & get Tyross 3 or the smaller version of Trs 4. You can find me on face book if you like Rickie Chapple. Cheers

  • Many don't seem to know about the 460-570, the digital synthesizer does have two modes. Turning the button off does not mean, the sliders wouldn't show effect. If the button light is off, you can MODIFY the selected sound. So change attack or modulation. If the button is pressed, the synthesizer is more something like creating a sound "from scratch",. In modify mode you can achieve sounds not possible with the syntheizer mode, as they sometimes use different built in basic settings.

  • @frankmueller77 yeah i really like that about it

  • Love that 'classic' FM synth sound. Better than the 480 imo, sounds much warmer with a fuller sound.

  • Hi Mick it's Rich who contacted you about your PSS 470 & 570. Did you know these two keyboards are a rehash of what was the 460 & 560? The 470 & 570 are the EXACT same but just in a different colour case & buttons. If you saw the 460 & 560 you would have thought what a rip of as apart from the colour they are the EXACT same mate. Yamaha did that with a lot of older keyboards brought out the same but with a variation on the model number & colour. Cheers!.

  • Hi, there were some differences between the 60 and 70 lines however. I'm quite sure the custom drummer on the PSS 570 was different to the one in the 560 and on the ladder instead you had more sliders to varify the rhythms.

  • Hi Mick them keyboards take me back. I borrowed a 470, bought 570 Feb 1989. Good in their time. I've moved on to others like PSR3000 & loads others I've had. Hey your version of just the way U R brilliant. What keyboards do you have now? I play & sing oldies for elderly groups. I play Gary Numan, Kratwerk. I record my own stuff. I bought a Juno G Roland. I tell you more some time. Please let me know what other stuff you play. What made you have both the 470 & 570? interesting Cheers from Rich
