Well zerg requires the most management @jeepr94. Spawn larva, spread creep, and micro/macro your units. Zerg strength is that they can instantly rebuild their army but if you mess up on your spawn larva timing you will not be able to. Well other races can just queue up unit and forget about them and do not need creep. Also if you pay attention to stats zerg are the least played race with the most average points. sc2ranks.com

Yeah I find it pretty bizarre that people say zerg is the hardest race to play. It can be argued that they are weak in a 200/200 supply battle against protoss, but in terms of actual difficulty, all zerg has to do is defend pushes till it hits max and A-move into their enemy's base.

@jeepr94 I typed "starcraft 2 race statistics" into google and found that currently, zerg loses the most out of all three races, though only by a margin of .7 percent.

In ZvP, the numbers are constantly fluctuating (right now within 1.4% favoring zerg)

In ZvT, terran has been dominating zerg since the launch

In PvT, the win/loss is even within 1% favoring protoss

But these are just stats. They mean nothing to the individual. If you let a zerg go unchecked, you deserve to lose.

Thats totally fair. Zerg expoes later, doesnt need to spend 900 minerals on gateways (350 for roaches and lings) and then can make them as soon as he needs. Not to mention the rediculous followup of lings he can push. If protoss goes for the same bullshit late gas build you lose.

@gwallace12664 thats what happens when you let zerg macro, further more if you notice protoss added alot of upgrades most times it helps, this time it didn't because he could have used the minerals and gas in more units, also the protoss let half of his sentrys go down before the battle really even began and let zerg get a surround... all those things add together to make the zerg win inevitable. Had the toss not done an all in and put early stalker agression on the 3rd he'd have been fine.

@gwallace12664 first off what does your brother being in masters and crying about the 4 gate have anything to do with the conversation at hand... secondly the 4 gate is pretty hard to counter especially if its all in against zerg, you have to remember that zerg will always out macro you by late mid to late game its going to happen, however a 2 or 3 base toss can decimate early, mid, or even late game zerg if you scouted enough.

Zealots are not easily kited off creep. Zealots kill Hydras in equal numbers. Ultras do NOT counter Zealots. The reason some players don't get many zealots is because melee units don't play nicely with Force Fields and Protoss love them Sentries.

@jkuess all depends in numbers. a small force of zealots vs a small force of hydras, zealots win, same for ultras. but if you get a critical mass of hydras or ultras, no amount of zealots can break it. They work like zerglings at that point. 2 zerglings beat 1 marine, but if you get a critical mass of marines, you need way more than 2-1 to kill the marines

Zealots get kited by roaches too easily / zergling microed earlygame... Lategame ranged units (hydras) devastate them, even with Charge. Also the Zerg can get Ultras as a counter.
