God's "standard" as presented in the bible is not god's. It's the product of primitive and superstitious iron age men. I refuse to accept man's nature as sinful, I refuse brand mankind as sinful because we are less than perfect. I refuse to damn man as depraved and evil.
I reject the Christian belief system and it's doctrines of fear, guilt and self-loathing and I fight against it as perhaps the most toxic and destructive belief systems ever to poison the mind of man.
Just as Christ died for sinners, the Christian died to sin, and just as Christ rose to life, the Christian rose from spiritual death to live for God in Christ. "How can we who died to sin sill live in it?" All of Romans 6 does a great job of addressing the issue.
Believing in Jesus also includes repentance. Without true repentance, there's no true faith.

The solution to abortion is ultimately the Gospel, just like all sin. When people love God, they won't desire to sin, including having an abortion. Of course, not everyone is going to do that. Politics and legislation might help a bit, too.
The punishment should be the same as it should be for murdering anyone. She should be given a fair trial, and if she's found to be guilty, she should get capital punishment.
Capital Punishment for having an abortion? That doesn't sound harsh enough coming from a fundie. Why not just decapitate her on prime time? I guess you are not a strong man of gawd.
"When people love God, they won't desire to sin" That is the biggest piece of hogwash and that is not the GOSPEL. We remain sinners even after we accept Jesus. All commit horrible sins in the eyes of God even after becoming christian. Thank God for the grace and mercy provided through Christ who wipes out our past, present, and future sins because there is no past, present, future in the timeline of God.

We are sinners. Jesus died for sinners. Those who believe in HIM are saved.
But you don't really want sinners to be saved because you want to keep feeling spiritually superior to them.

Do you have disposable money that you buy things for yourself rather than giving them away to the poor? Thats a SIN.
