  • This band is surpreme. Just hear the pace and musical perfection with which they perform this tune.

  • Wybe Buma always, without fail, made a great contribution to the line-up.

  • Don't forget to listen "I found a new baby" issued in 1954. This number was broadcasted last Friday on radio 5 Nostalgy. For me the most creative piece of swinging classic/jazz ever.

    Vriendelijke groeten,

  • I was 18 when this video was taken, some friends played many evenings in a little combo insted of learning for school. I always wanted to play banjo, but I had too less money to buy, so I hit my old akkustik guitar.

DSCB was and still is one of my favourit dixieland bands.

Wish you and your Dixieland Crackerjacks much fun at the aniversary, and please take lots of videos to share ;-)

  • 5 stars !!

  • They are a great band today as well. Have you ever had the opportunity to run across them live since you live nearer to them than Texas?

  • Yes, I have seen them quite often. In fact the Dixieland Crackerjacks will play at their 65 years aniversary as well. We are proud to be invited. I played with 4 of the members that are now in the band, and also with the very first drummer, who started in 1945. He is still alive but doesn't play anymore.
