  • "If memories serve me right, this is NEW YORK CITY!"

    Epic Chairman Kaga is EPIC!

  • Unveiling the ingredient, Bobby Flay..(I hope its corn i hope its corn i hope...)

  • lol if i was in america and saw them wearing that i'd think they were crazy or

    ppl doing cosplay

  • Chairman Kaga: 'These Americans are weird. I'm glad I'm normal.'

  • Kega must really like bell pepers!

  • YOU KNOW KAGA NEVER LIKE BITING INTO THAT PEPPER!

  • Pokemon, who stole the hearts of our children Lol. YES That's Right.

  • I never saw the original iron chef, just the american version. I now get the bell pepper reference that the iron chef america chairman passes up for an apple. Huh, you learn something new everyday.

  • bobby flay's entrance was LOL

  • This was a lot of fun, I was there with my son. Seated right behind Bobby Flay's mom and girlfriend.

  • @LooseGoose2012

If memory serves me right, you one lucky son of a bitch! You got to experience the GLORY OF KKKKAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGAAAAAAA!!! BELL PEPPER CRUNCH ATTACK! I SUMMON SAKAI, KENICHI, MORIMOTO, KOBE, ISHINABE, MICHIBA, NAKAMURA, OHTA, HATTORI, AND FUKUI-SAN!!! YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! So I'm glad you had a good time and all, wish I could've been there for an taping of the original show.

  • Also jesus christ when that guy tried to take Masahiru's bellepper... hahaha the body language of the chairmen is like "Boy, I'll fuck your shit up bad, did you just dare touch my bellpepper?"

  • God that asshole at the start is so unfunny and gay, fuck you and bring me my Japanese hero. I love you Iron Chefs from Japan... you guys are awesome.

We need to bellpepper up this bitch in here.

  • did that guy try to take the chairmans bell pepper? he should of been bitch slapped square in the face for that.

  • wow how SHIT is Gordon Elliot...he introduces Morimoto as Masahiru moto....fucking pathetic

  • if memory serves me right...Gordon Elliot is the worse TV host ever in the history of televised entertainment....if he can make it, a monkey on a bike could do it...

  • I love how they didn't dub his awesome and flamboyant voice during the intro as they often do.

  • @DeanMalenkoEatsDogs

Yeah, that was supreme hack-douchedom. :S

  • I love how overboard Chairman Kaga is on these shows. The entrance just made me laugh it was so awsome.

  • for the love of God...like Bobby Flay needed MORE of an ego boost >.<. Somebody smack him with a frying pan!

  • @DeanMalenkoEatsDogs

ECW! ECW! ECW! Er...I mean IRON CHEF! IRON CHEF! IRON CHEF!

FUCK YOU BOBBY FUCK YOU BOBBY FUCK YOU BOBBY

FUCK 'EM UP MORIMOTO, FUCK 'EM UP! *clap-clap*

Whew! Sorry...went a little crazy with my mark-out moment there.

  • Is it weird that when I was little I wanted Chairman Kaga to be my dad? (or my husband/boyfriend, whichever was fine....DAT ELECTRA COMPLEX)

  • @ToruKun1 You must never feel that it was wrong. It is the purest of feelings, Kaga Envy.

  • Gordon elliot himself is not suitable for this show/competition his style of hosting does no hold regards to the magnitude of this competition...The producers are screwed...

  • I think the reason a lot of people hate the US version (This is my reason anyway), is because it doesn't feel like it's taken seriously at all, the Japanese chefs cook like it's an art form, they are very serious and disciplined, the US ones don't "suck" but they are far less rigid and the Iron Chef show it supposed to be about that, two serious and disciplined chefs who have dedicated their life to their work battle it out.

  • Bobby Flay is a joke

  • apparently the secret ingredient is a disco ball!

  • Wats de meaning of de yellow bell pepper? Chairman Kaga seem like to use it to symbolise him...

  • Can upload the 3rd match between Flay and Morimoto in Iron Chef America? It was an episode aired during last year nov-dec 09.. It was themed the Holiday Ice battle and ingredient was Eggnog.. thanks

  • this is fucking disgusting... I HATE bobby flay and the whole audience and morimoto................ sakai chen kaga and kobe should have never stepped foot in ny

  • OMG I love this show!!! The American one is sooooooooooo boring! I can't believe they closed kitchen stadium....I wanted to go there and meet the Iron Chefs and Chairman Kaga!

  • Gordon Elliot is such a moron....

  • @YakomoFujikawa I agree with you 100 percent! he cant even say morimoto's name correctly it's not that hard to say. they should have had another host

  • Chairman Kaga is SO CUTE when he speaks english.

  • its like comparing sushi to mcdonalds... this competition was a joke

  • Gordon Elliot is such a fucking moron

  • When the ICA first started. Americans weren't into japanese food, not until they started promoting socialism and modern lives, that exotic food became popular.

  • wow laag sila

  • God this Gordon Elliot guy is REALLY ABRASIVE AND ANNOYING. Like, he'll make an awkward joke, but instead of backing off... he follows it up with another one! Holy crap!

  • omgg! i loved the japanese iron chef show than stupid BORING AMERICAN ONE! AND BOBBY FLAY ALWAYS WINS!-.- it sucks and the judges are so biased

  • Sakai is Great chef BUT I love fast food too.

  • gordon elliott should just rot and die.

  • Wow. They're cosplaying in New York.

  • Iron Chefs and Chairman by the river bank was epic.

  • Bobby Vs Masaharu! EPIC

  • peppers for you!!! and you!! and YOU!!!! :D

  • my chef always says that good cooks are good thieves. mwahahaha

  • way to represent the U.S no wonder other nations think we are assholes

  • nah other nations think ur ass holes cus of bush

  • then why did they think we were assholes before bush?

  • people think were assholes because most of us are assholes

  • Actually, only the ones to appear on media.

  • @psychofish4444 well he was asked by the producer to act like " a college student that had too many Budweiser"

  • It wasn't Flay's intention to jump up on the cutting board, he was mostly pushed up there by his sous-chefs. Morimoto needed to get the hell over himself.

  • Kaga-San speaks english...

  • he may be a good chef but he a dissrespectful ass hole

  • 2:04 where is chen? T-T

  • @chidoriookami Chen-San couldn't make it for this battle due to business picking up at his restaurant.

  • Why would you compare the Iron Chefs with Godzilla and Pokemon. That was dumb!

  • God I love when Kaga just throws his cape at Elliot when he tried to put the microphone in his face. They probably could have picked any random person out of the audience that would do a better job than that queer.

  • @Candorf XD haha yeah and wen elliot tried to "kindly" take the pepper from kaga-sama but then was denied XDD kaga-sama: wtf u think ur doing, this is mine. " XD

  • Yeah I would have to agree with you and Candorf, I saw that part when Gordon Elliot was trying to take Kaga's bell pepper away from him, he was like "Ain't no chance brother, get your own this mine dude!" HAHAHAHAHAHA!

If memory serves me right, this is NEW YORK CITY!!!!!!

    NEW YORK CITY!!!!!!!!

Damn I really love it when he takes a big bite out of that yellow bell pepper!!!!! ^_^

    Totally Awesome!!!!!!! Anita

  • it seems u need more criticize..hehe

anyway why can u judge without sitting in front of dishes? why tell me? u just only decide how does it look like . i think u have a bias.

    and if u r chef ..... i apologize u sir

  • anybody know bobby's entrance theme song? 7:08

  • I would have liked Chen or Sakai but i understand why they picked Morimoto. It's like the young Japanese star with a new look on the way they cook vs. the new amercain young star with almost the same few towords his style.

    Kill Gordon Elliott.

  • OMG I have flashbacks to being a kid watching this everytime i c it

  • I almost pissed myself at 2:26.....what a spectacle!

  • custome superheroes!!!

  • Did Michiba replace Chen, who was not chosen for the New York Battle?

  • Translation FAIL!

  • Kaga: "im ready, to present my iron chefs"

translator: "My dream has come true in showing the iron chefs this country"

wut? we need that guy who failed the 2-kyu.

  • yes its back now on Qtv channel 11

  • haha raise the roof bobby...

  • What happened to Chen Kenichi??!

  • There are several Iron Chefs

  • They tried to get him but he declined due to scheduling difficulties

  • That translator is horrific! Even I could do a better job and I haven't even passed the 2-kyu yet!

  • I love how Kaga said "If memory serves me right.... this is New York City!"

  • GOD, I wish I could have been there!! Dang it!!!

  • Check out my spoof on these cooking shows called "Simple Food Network" - if you can stick with it, guaranteed to make you laugh before the 4 min. mark...

  • maaaann this is more comptetive than the olympics!

  • You think one of the Iron Chefs is going to be found smoking a bong? If that's going to happen my money is actually on Iron Chef Cora, but we'll just have to wait and see.

    ...

Except this episode is 9 years old...

  • the speaker and bobby flay don't help the arrogant and insolent american image.

  • lol this was probably around 1995-2000 when the "raise the roof" gesture was still cool.

  • Bobby Flay is a no-talent asshat

  • HEY!!! WHERE IS CHEN KENICHI?!????

  • I think they said something about him being busy with one of his restaurants.

    I love this show's campiness.

  • I think they were trying to get him but he couldn't make it because of scheduling conflicts.

  • Kaga's English at 4:31...damn near flawless.

  • i love iron chef! i think the japanese stadium is better tho

  • i think this is made just for this, so not like the kitchen stadium

  • hahahaha..! Flashy outfit in middle of the street, i'm sure the chefs wanna kill te producer 4 embarrassment...

  • Gordon Elliot should have won. Flay and Morimoto are teh fail compared to him.

  • I don't think so...Gordon kinda f#*$!@ed up Morimoto's name before they introduced Flay...

  • where's chen? : )

  • Didnt Morimoto or some other chef get him back in Iron Chef America by standing on the cutting board or was that Flay again?

  • Where was Kenichi? D:

  • -zeodiego2, as oppose to all the hate Flay gets and the all the love Morimoto gets.

-Morimoto and Flay are both talented.

-But Morimoto could put shit on a plate and you think he should win because he is a "nice guy"

-Flay could put something the judges like and actually win but you will try to discredit him instead since you see him as a "bad guy".

-You will continue say that it was "rigged", "a conspiracy", "they let him win" even though the judges liked his food and voted for him.

  • @wxyzfactor What are you talking about? morimoto won this battle so how was it rigged against bobby?? But i do agreed that they are both talented.

  • i still don't know why another local chef wasn't pegged to fight. it's obvious that flay's ties to foodnetwork made him an easy choice, but seriously, this was new york, goddammit!

it shames me as an american that france sent icons like gagnaire and passard, while we had flay. granted, he's come a long way, but the zagat's could have picked a better choice. maybe charlie palmer, gray kunz, david bouley, and tom colicchio weren't good enough to be considered for this battle. *rolls eyes*

  • -Mraznchef, besides talent, Flay was picked because he gets a reaction from people, whether it be good or bad, (which keeps him relevant in the public eye). This battle was back in 2000 & people still talk about it!!!

-Flay makes a living on controversy. His image is built on the a**hole everyone loves to hate and root against. He was picked to provide a foil for the "good guys" and give everyone somebody to talk about and intensely dislike. Just look at all the negative Flay comments...

  • Kind of hard to see the anti-Flay comments when they're all marked as spam.

  • I love how most Iron Chef fans hate Flay so much that make up excuses (even there's no proof) as to why he wins over Morimoto and Sakai. IE. "They let him win" or "It was rigged". Lol. A win is a win. Guess Flay is so "untalented" that he was able to beat Morimoto and "King of Iron Chefs" Sakai. All Flay does is win on Iron Chef and Iron Chef America. As a Raiders owner Al Davis says ""Just win, baby!".

  • you posted the same coment on all 5 videos :)

    hahahaha that is love baby!

  • It would have been nice if all seven Iron Chefs showed up at the New York Battle.

  • GOD DAMN..... Gordon elliot is SUCH a little douchey twatwaffle!

    >:(

  • iron chef is better than any sports show in the world!!

  • hehehe Sakai is so cute

  • trans pacific battle.

  • Now I see what people were talkin about when they said Flay was actin a fool

  • The thing that Gordon Elliott said about "Godzilla crushed Manhattan like a huge chopstick", I found really racist.

  • lol

  • WHAT is w/ kaga's entrance?! lol.

that guy w/ the swinging whatever-it-is in front

is like the priest at the russian church I used to go to as a kid.

    O______olll wtf.

  • The opening looks sick :O

  • Chairman Kaga's bodyguards with the flags look like those Marine Corps honor guard guys.

  • one of the best episode i had !!

  • ive never watched this. thank u for uploading this.

  • Oh god, this is incredible! Kaga and the Iron Chefs standing on the street like they had just beamed down from some alien starship! It's like a cartoon suddenly becoming real. If I had caught one of Kaga's peppers I would die a happy person.

  • omg ive never heard his real voice...speaking English i mean

  • makes you cringe when they dubbed him, doesn't? I thought Kaga's English was pretty damned good.

  • Amen! Both him and the Iron Chefs are just like rock stars from the 1980's!!!!!!!

  • Ahahaha bell pepper procession for Kaga. But he and the Iron Chefs all looked a little out of place on the streets of NYC.

  • flay was apparantly told to act like a dick

  • Bobby Flay is a dick

  • OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!

    what a retard.

  • flay is such a douche.

  • i totally agree...sakai well owned this guy anytime

  • They did it at Webster Hall? Wow, that's hillarious. The whole "feud" between Flay and Morimoto over Flay standing on his cutting board is f-ing hillarious.

  • Dude, Flay is a fag.

Fucking trying to act cool with his "raising the roof" thing.

The Iron Chef looks awesome. Unmoving, like Iron.

  • yes he is sakai all the way

  • yea that was lame...but it was totally popular several years ago when they filmed this. i've never seen flay act like that at all on iron chef america, plus the producers were telling him to act like a dick on purpose - i guess to make it more dramatic.

  • What year was this?

    Where's Chen? Why Morimoto?

  • Because Morimoto is has restaurants in New York

  • Wow, this is a fun show, even if the host dresses like a Japanese Liberace.

  • That's why I like it, actually....X-D X-3

  • just wondering but where is chen

  • me too..he's my fav

  • couldn't make it. its on wikipedia.

  • ohhh thanks for replying.

  • ???????????????????????wtf???jerk=bobby flay

  • I love Morimoto's expression after the theme is revealed. "Don't worry guys I got this." ^_O>

  • bobby flay's a jerk.

  • hes not actually like that. the iron chef producers told him to act like and arrogant jerk for whatever reason.look it up on wikipedia.

  • showmanship, all television shows try to increase rating get used to it. while its a cooking show he's still told to "act"

  • damn they really built this one up... good lord!

  • can I see Hiroyuki Sakai first loss in iron chef

  • flay seems like kindof a douchebag...good thing he can cook...

  • bobby flay freaken wranger, doesnt even deserve to be beaten by a iron chef more like a 5yr old chef =)

  • flay would get totally raped if he chosed michiba or sakai.

  • Agree

  • iron chef they are kind and very humble...not like bobby flay arrogant!

  • I saw this for the first time in June 2001, one of the first 'Iron Chef' episodes I ever saw. I just loved everything about it...especially Chairman Kaga's entrance and when he says in plain English: 'If memory serves me right, THIS IS NEW YORK CITY!!!!!!'
