@bendingparabol The Classic VTX is a later model with more "features", like a "lead gain" distortion and a phaser. Overall, I like this classic model better, the VTX is a bit too 80s for me, haha. Thanks for watching!
I dunno, but I always did like their reverb. And it has a real nice growl with a Tele Thinkline w/ double h-buckers. I have one of these and am looking for another before they go thru the roof in price like the frikkin Classic 30's. Sheesh! Nice smooth jazz sound you're gettin'.
I scored one of these for free off a friend who didn't need it anymore. It wasn't worth much anyway, it's beat to hell and it's got some tonal problems. Certainly doesn't sound as nice as yours, I think she's a little sick. But I'll get her done up.
@EJRocky Seriously it's the most painful thing to read that people have friends that give them sweet gear as free gifts! I want friends who give me free gear! I'm tired of having to pay for all of it! Gah! >:(
Haha, I'm the same way, man. I was stuck with a crappy guitar for months, and had to work all summer for my Classic Vibe Strat. So this was just a lucky deal, I've had to save hard for pretty much everything else. I'm sure you'll come across something :)
@EJRocky I've resulted to building my own lol, it isn't really that much cheaper as wood and parts aren't cheap but there isn't much as satisfying as throwing together your own guitar. There isn't anything as hard to deal with when you eff up on part of it either. XD
That's what I did too - but something always went wrong! I did throw together various guitars myself, but there was always something wrong... one guitar had a really horrible gap between the neck and the neck pocket, another had a nut slot way too big for the nut! The only reason I did this was because I couldn't afford a factory guitar, but in the end I grew tired of all the crappy parts guitars and just saved for a factory one, and it's absolutely perfect in every way :3

Not bad at all....I have a VT-series Classic('79), they're great-sounding amps.
