  • I think people forget that we can be sovereign.

    I and you.

  • What is happening in Greece is but a small sample of what WILL happen in the coming American debt crisis.

Actually there will be considerable pain when government shrinks because we are so dependent on it. It will be like coming off of heroin.

  • Buy food, seeds, land, silver, medicine, weapons and find like minded friends. Think 1900 with a thicker encyclopedia of knowledge. Survive the first wave and you have a chance.

  • Expose the Ponzi!!! Peter!!!!

  • Its out of the fire in to the frying pan Petey boy. The only thing you have backwards.

  • Peter Schiff is one very smart man

  • Peter, it looks like at lot of municipalities are going to default on their bonds. What is a little guy like me to do who only has a 401K?

  • @olh1152

The 401K is essentially a pyramid scheme. The money you pay into it will be long gone by the time you come to collect, and any money you do receive will have been recently taken from someone else.

If what Schiff says is correct, then at some point in the near future, people will stop paying into the scheme - meaning that those who are waiting to receive their share are SOL.

If you still have time and ability, then save what you can for your own retirement, in lasting money.

  • @Panzer, not much of a choice. It is what my employer does. Cannot touch it unless I leave the company for some reason.

  • @olh

Oh, I know it's non-optional for most people. I meant that you should regard it as another worse-than-useless overhead, instead of counting on it to sustain you in your old age. If you want a secure retirement fund, then you're going to have to save it up for yourself, in something more stable than dollars or government bonds.

  • wait a minute. i don't understand how the US can be the surest to repay the debt ahead of the bric countries which are much healthier economically. and there already is a new global reserve. they were talking about a basket of currencies. either that or straight up yuan.

  • We need to help each other!

    This site gives great knowledge.....

    DeathOfTheDollar2010 (Dot) Blogspot (Dot) Com

  • Peter's misunderstanding about the dollar is his biggest blind spot. Otherwise, he's been brilliant.

  • And what exactly is his misunderstanding of the dollar?.....Can you please elaborate....Thanks

  • Peter says it in the video. It's the reserve status of the dollar. The dollar is THE international currency. Oil and other commodities are traded in dollars. Billions of dollars in debt is stipulated to be repaid in dollars. Among the many troubled countries, the US is thought to be one of the surest to make good on its debts. All this provides tremendous support to the dollar. The dollar can't disappear until something is there to replace it. Gold? Not yet.

  • We've had record inflation for the last 38 years- since Nixon closed the gold window on the Bretton Woods system. As long as we have unlimited inflation and a Congress willing to do everything it can to make it happen, the dollar has nowhere to go but down and that means prices have nowhere to go but up. Congress does this on purpose despite the negative effect inflation has on consumer purchasing power because they favor the positive effect inflation has on business profit margins.

  • I believe Pete.

  • Take note Gormless even those that are in the Euro are not bailing Greece out. So dont play the good guy with our money

    Blame the Socialist, Liberals, Democrats

    Take noted obamarobots.

    NWO .

  • Shut the country down get rid of these illegal aliens and bad govt'!

  • I give up!

  • the huge deficits over in the EU member-nations is an example of things to come with The DEM'S SPENDING SINCE 2006 TO THE PRESENT. Bush had deficits of 200 Billion per year until 2006; then the deficit grew. WHY???? THE DEMS TOOK OVER.

  • @Astroman1990 You can't blame everything on the Dems like the Dems blame everything on Bush. Everybody deserves blame.

  • I am not blaming...just pointing out which Party was in control of the Congress (which has the power to make budget bills; the House in particular). I am giving credit where credit is due.

  • It is getting bad all over. People are not paying attention to what is happening in Europe. The EU has already threatened Greece with invoking Article 121 of the 'Lisbon Treaty' if Greece doesn't get a grip on their debt. Greece can lose their soveriengty. As for the dollar, SDR's will eventually take over as the world currency. Things are very bad. Good video though.

  • @nhralph Search for

    "DEBT SCARY COMPARISONS"

  • I agree. The situation gets worse. The US birth rate has dropped over the last 50 years. Thus, it will reduce the workforce, create a 30% drop in the nation's purchasing power once Baby Boomer's die off after draining Social Security dry. The resulting drop in tax revenues and the need to maintain a huge infrastructure will put the nation over the brink. We can on longer afford tax break scams that reduce our ability to pay the debt, while funding the tax break itself on the national debt.

  • Good point..... heavier load, held up by fewer people.

  • @PragmaticStatistic Better yet, how about we just quit going into debt now and my children and grandchildren will have a much better chance of not having to eat out of the garbage can in order to survive.

  • Your children & your grandchildren? My friend, that is optimistic at best!

The collective financial storm that is rising without any actual sustainable productivity to even slightly curb it; continued easy monetized money from the Fed to these hoarding banks - that will spill it all out when their reserve limits are lowered - causing massive inflation; and new proposed egalitarian socialism - where productivity is punished and spending is increased - means that we are already near the edge!

  • In the next 5 years, 35% of our tax-revenue will goto paying the interest on our ever rising national debt... No. I didn't say the principal-&-interest pmt... I said the interest alone!

That leaves 65% of the tax-revenue to fund the remanider of the budget!

As that will literally be impossible to fund our annual Gov't expenditures (like Soc. Sec., Defense & Medicare - not to mention the plethora of social spending that 'Capt. Progressive' wants to levy on the tax-payer) we are screwed!!!

  • Meh - we wouldn't be screwed if government actually shrunk... Do away with social security, medicare, any and all welfare, and pare our military down to nearly nothing at all. That might fix the problem... but we all know that sure as hell isn't going to happen.

  • You're absolutely right! (I used to be a flag-waving Neo-Con/"pre-emptiv-war" fan - until I awakened to the reality that the Progressive Liberals and the Neo-Cons were essentially 2 heads on the same 'dragon' - AKA the Council on Foreign Relations. Now I just want to see our defense used solely for our defense!). Unfortunately, even if we were to cut all of our current expenses, these evil or ignorant morons (you decide which is more applicable) have created so many debt-driving liabilities -

  • - there seems to literally be no way out of this - at least in the short-term! It appears as though we have long crested past the point-of-no-return. The elitist morons in Washington should be gathered together in the House Chamber to be tried for "treason and high crimes"! As Peter said: "The house of cards is ready to crumble in America." Unnecessary expenditures; massive deficit-spending; debt-driving bond sales - to temporarily alleviate a mounting crisis; and monetized Dollars... EVIL!!!

  • PragmaticStatistic,

Looking at history, quoting statistics and anticipating the future,

You know with qualities like that you'd never make-it in politics

  • I did make it in politics. I was an elected common councilman at-large for a city of 79,000. I was a fiscal-conservative elected on the Conservative Party line. Dispite my fiscal-conserative leanings, I was what the far-right extremists would call a middle-of-the-roader. I balanced fiscal & social responsibilities for the benefit of all the people & I discovered that most, if not all, politicians are not fiscally responsible as they claim to be. Too many seek power, money & backroom deals.

  • Think Government Is Corrupt? You May Face 10 Years In Jail

  • I'm listening to Mr Schiff, I'm buying phisical silver. I can't afford to buy gold so I buy silver coins and 1 ounce bars of silver.

  • Yeah the United States has more debt than Greece in absolute terms. But Greece was never a high powered economy.

  • no more money left in the birth certificates? thanks for posting, cheers

  • watch?v=D--5iFc2Ng0

  • if all the socialist countries of Europe that are going bankrupt and Cali collapsing aren't an indicator of socialism failing then I dunno what is. As if the Soviet Union collapsing wasn't a big enough indicator already.

  • Peter it has been 4 days, and we need an update. Where are you????

  • @rolexx lol, what's wrong, can't go a few days without him? I kinda miss him too ;-)

Seriously though, by the looks of the futures this morning, he'll be out in style today with a video.

Looks like those dollar short and long commodities calls I've been making over the last two weeks are about to start working out. Already up on the short usd.cad play with a nice sized position.

  • @mcdonaldscalling21... 5 days :( I am going into withdrawl here.

  • @rolexx hmm, maybe he's waiting for this recent run to stick a little more. I just can't believe he's not here every day giving out free advice :-) I mean, the nerve of him! lol.

Quite honestly I am still looking for this thing to stick also. We got a nice move yesterday. Extremely profitable. We just need to keep the dollar rolling over. I added to that short yesterday.

  • This is it folks, we're are seeing beginning of the collapse.

  • Yup I'm starting to get scared now.

  • @smasila ugh...if only i weren't a poor waiter/actor, i'd buy me some bullion =(

  • You couldn't be farther from the truth. Conditions in the US deteriorated during WW2. All war does is destroy and waste. After the war was over, and Roosevelt was dead, the gov't repealed most of the economic fascist policies of the 30's. The gov't cut its budget to 1/3 of what it was, and CUT taxes a bunch too! With the state demobilizing and many soldiers re-entering the economy, statist economists predicted the apocalypse. Instead, we got 1946: the best year of economic growth in US history.

  • the 50s were so prosperous because of years of every US citizen saving money instead of spending. During WW2 you couldn't buy squat in terms of consumer goods, the only thing you could do with the money was save it. When the GIs came home and consumer products came back online, that savings was unleashed.

WW2 did not get us out of the GD. I wouldn't call drafting 3-4M people, killing 100,000s of people, decimating world infrastructure, total lack of consumer goods as an economic recovery.

  • @ForTehNguyen During and after WWII, the US also positioned themselves well relative to other countries debt. We owned the world debt and would benefit from that for years. This is similar to China's positioning today. They are angling to capitalize on world debt for years to come. A large portion of our children's lives will be spent indentured to Chinese people.

  • no.

y do u think im republican

  • no.

y do u think im republican

  • i don't no y u r republican. y r u asking me?

  • 4 lwr tax

  • I can't give you lwr tax. u hav 2 ask congress 4 that.

  • republicans wud do dat

  • how can gold fall 40 bucks? is that not nuts? why did it fall so much Peter?

  • Because some of us are smart enough to short these things, including the dow.

  • 5:50 on

  • My guess is that the global debt situation will become a huge problem once government stimulus runs its course.

I hate listening to you Peter. Only because I believe you are right on the money.

    Peter

  • 10th Amendment - The Cure is to Ignore!

  • When consumerism in USA is back in full stride and job creation numbers are improving monthly, when we stop worrying and buy that new tv and consider a new car ... then the axe will fall and Schiff's predictions will all come true.

Govt's agenda remains quite different than what citizens hope for but do not expect any longer; govt will unite Mexico and Canada with USA and form a united north america, a new world order. Econ worries make for a nice diversion.

How much is air fare to Switzerland?

  • @trumpsahead

Try changing star system/galaxy/universe. I´m heading to Andromeda myself if people don´t wise up soon.

  • Airfare to Switzerland is affordable while your dollars are still valuable. Better do it soon though!

  • watch?v=kVRy2OEBjyo

It's a very old video but half way through it shows Oliver North being questioned during the Iran Contra hearings

a congressman brings up a continuity of government plan and is dismissed by the chairman twice

The beginning talks about FEMA and how it was set up for domestic terrorism and continuity of government

The federal government understands the crisis and it plans to keep continuing.. it did in the Civil War

there have been many insurrections put down since 1776

  • It's going to be a horrible day when the dollar collapses

a lot of people are gonna wake up to the right left paradigm... both liberals and conservatives

The federal government understands that there will be civil unrest and many citizens will call for it to be ended

Presidential Directive 51 proclaims the President may take over all local and state governments in a time of natural disaster, economic disaster, etc

it's called continuity of government and began in the Truman administration

  • Wikipedia definition - The Boston Tea Party was a direct action by colonists in Boston, a town in the British colony of Massachusetts, against the British government.

    think about that....

if we did something like that today to our federal government it'd be over for us... they've got FBI, CIA, police, maybe military

the Declaration of Independence is still Law it was passed by the 1st Congress it says the People have a duty to list the grievances, then alter or abolish their government

  • Hey guys, I'm thinking about giving to Peter Schiff's campaign. I needed to know if he's pro life are not. I can't support him if he isn't. Rand Paul for example is pro life and I have no problem giving to his campaign.

  • He is for the market, therefore he is against force and have people base on their own decisions to solve the problem. Libertarians, like Peter and Paul are not bound on a bar scale to being either Pro-Choice or Pro-Life. Maybe in a personally decision, but the fact remains its not a Federal Issue and all reality its not a State issue for that matter either. As its not the Government's business to control your decision about your body. He is personally more for Pro-choice; however,...

  • I can elaborate why, because its not the standard feminist rhetoric. Its much like the war on drugs, banning something never works. You will just drive it to a black market, and having States to make the decision will have some say no and others yes; and then the decision to people wanting to have an abortion will have them head to the State allowing it. The reality is its an emergency procedure, and it should be up to the medical field to perform it or not base on their own choice. (Continue)

  • But this choice will have consequence to the Inter-subjective Consensus of the people in the given area. I say Science will answer the question of life or not in time, but the grim answer one must face is the force does not solve the issues at hand. It only provokes a response which may in fact result in more abortions. Anyway basing your support over abortion is joke; when its comes to Libertarians as they will not violate Liberties nor Free Association.

  • Explain to me why our "big gov't" bans murder? Shouldn't people have the right to murder any one they want? Or is that a "state issue?" A TRUE libertarian like Judge Napolitano or Rand Paul are defenders of freedom, the right to life, inhalable rights and the Constitution. I'm sorry I can't say the same for Peter Schiff.

  • Okay pass a law that bans violence, and tell me at the end of your life that it has been successful. You are still stuck in a left right paradigm, black and white beliefs; which is not the case in reality. Laws from the Government do not improve "society" nor its intended goals.

Example: Banning Drugs results in more Drugs consumed, (save the pharmaceutical bureaucracy for another day), Prohibiting Business for discriminating customers based on racism, sexism, has INCREASE that issue.

  • In short banning something provokes a response.

You talk about being a defender of freedom, what part of that is having people voluntary come up with the answers at hand themselves violate that principle, and what part is force ever accepted as an answer and then proclaim for defending freedom.

  • Humans have a right to life. Murder of the innocent is wrong no matter the age. People should be "FORCED" NOT to murder. That is the right thing to do.

  • I am telling you force doesn't work, I am not saying murder is okay. Putting words on a piece of paper does not work, you are entering the realm of human action. Education, Science, and the general change of thought is one of your only weapons you use effectively. Running into the doctor's room, knocking him out, and running off with the Pregnant Lady is hardly a solution and neither is JAILING some over the course of there own actions just because it violates your morality.

  • In fact when you advocate any Government action you first must believe violence is the best solution at hand, and if you are a Christian than no wonder its the first thought to come into your mind. Ban it, you will have what Ron Paul says will happen: Increase in the black markets, more risk, less security, more deaths and not only the baby. I don't want babies to die, but what good to advocate more violence to solve a problem of violence. Its hypocritical.

  • Why is it that Texas that has NO income tax and lives on a BOARDER state has an 800 MILLION dollar SURPLUS ???

Yet California has HIGH taxes is BANKRUPT???

  • Sounds like Schiff is advocating increased taxes. I couldnt watch it all because he just showboating shit we already know....did he advocate higher taxes or not? Another 500,000 jobs were sent to China last month. Shiff doesnt come out and actually offer a solution because the solution involves higher taxes and stemming the job bleed which would offend the elite.

  • I had to look at your name to get the message, at first I thought you were someone else.

  • "Taxation is theft, purely and simply, even though it is theft on a grand and colossal scale, of which no acknowledged criminals could hope to match... Like the robber, the State demands money at the equivalent of gunpoint; if the taxpayer refuses to pay, his assets are seized by force, and if he should resist such depredation, he will be arrested or shot if he should continue to resist." -Murray Rothbard

  • "When you advocate any Government action, you must first believe that violence is the best answer to the question at hand." -Allen Thornton

"If we cannot by reason, by influence, by example, by strenuous effort, and by personal sacrifice, mend the bad places civilization, we certainly cannot do it by force." -Auberon Herbert

  • Without taxes you dont have roads or cops or firemen. Today we live in a capitalist phase in humanity...it is a neccessary phase. Tommorow we will live in a Star Trek phase where nobody actually works. The dude you quoted from was an anarchist. In ANY society you need leadership. You need people to do their part. Otherwise, you end up with a bunch of squatters who just take and take. Anyway, Murray always had the freedom to live in the forest y to do as he pleases without paying taxes.

  • ...may people did just that. They pulled stakes, went to Alaska and lived off the land. Self sufficient...this Murray dude, posted a bunch of books, made alot of money and enjoyed capitalism while telling you to do as he says and not as he does.

  • Your opinion does not take away the fact of his quote, nor are you being honest.

  • Why is it that Texas that has NO income tax and lives on a BOARDER state has an 800 MILLION dollar SURPLUS ???

Yet California has HIGH taxes is BANKRUPT???

  • Evramos, there is no free ride in any part of the world. Its all about giving in one hand and taking with the other. In the case of Texas, you guys make up for it in property taxes and crippling sales taxes.

The problem with California is that NOBODY gets elected by increasing taxes. The greedy get greedier. The wealthy own that govt. So, its your patriotic duty to wine and dine and leave the table without paying the tab.

  • Texas should follow the example of Alberta, Canada. It exports oil to the USA. It lived high on the hog with no debt and posting surpluses just as Texas was. As oil prices dropped, and the obsolence of oil, and peak production looms over the horizon, it is now posting LOSSES. But dont you fret, the people of Alberta are now being taxed higher. The govt is worried that it will be removed from power and yes they are losing power now because of the taxes. The people want to run a deficit forever.

  • No market functions, no risk, monopoly in state regulations = Socialist pipe dream talking about the success of Capitalism when the Socialist and other folks who want the fast way out have been using the forbidden power of the State to run the show at the expensive of everyone else. And yes, Reagan and many other "trickle down economics fundies" are also Socialists as well especially in Economics.

  • Involuntary Extraction of Wealth has nothing to do with the supply and demand of roads, cops, and fire protection; it has everything to do with a State Monopoly phasing out alternatives in competition. If we actually lived in a Capitalist "society" (assuming we are talking about Free Markets) you wouldn't have a Federal Reserve, control of interest rates, monopoly of a State Fiat Currency back by legal tender laws, Monopoly in State Regulations, Cartels in Oil, Banking, Defense etc...

  • Yes, people can choice to have leadership, but don't confuse voluntary leadership for involuntary rulers. They are not the same thing. People will do their own part, base on their own self interest. Forcing people to do their part, or guiding some magic morality wand isn't about helping themselves nor others, just an establishment ruling class to be obedient workers. There is a fine line between cooperation and coercion.

  • "Thank you for calling your local police department, please have your Visa and Mastercard ready, and a police officer will answer your call shortly. You call is important to us, please hold and then next available officer will assist you. Please do not hang up as your call will be answered sooner than if you dial again. Also, please press the star key if you´d like to participate in a survey or would like to receive special coupons or gift certificates giving you an extra hour protection

  • Which would you prefer? A Monopoly Organization paid for by the involuntary extraction of wealth that has no incentive to protect you, no incentive to improve the safety of the community but by only their own character, where they are not bound legally to do so, not bound by a budget versus voluntary contribution, has the incentive to do all the above or not get paid or paid as well, bounded to a budget where it takes serious planning and effort to best the other guy and built a reputation..

  • I live in Vancouver, Canada. My car insurance is government....$1200 per year including plates y registration y licensing. My health insurance is govt...I pay $26 per month. I will never go bankrupt from medical payments.

What do you pay for medical and what do you pay for your car? Believe me, I wouldnt trust a bunch of ex-bankers to look after my medical care. They fucked you over once, and I promise, they will fuck you up the ass again. You are too trusting to believe otherwise.

  • First in importance of its evil influence.. the money monopoly, which consists of the privilege given by the Government to certain individuals, or to individuals holding certain kinds of property, of issuing the circulating medium, a privilege which is now enforced in this country... upon all other persons who attempt to furnish a circulating medium."

  • ....how you can trust a Wall Street suit to look after you I will never know. They are socialists who believe in lining their pockets with tax payer money in the worst of times, and reaping all the coin during the boom times. They can NOT lose. Now after all the 130 bank failures, car manufacturering failures, and insurance company failures that socialisim shouldnt exist for the people but only the corporations? What kind of crack are you on?

  • Why do I have to focus my business with a white collar Financial Bean Counter? Health care in America long ago had the Friendly Societies, lodge practices, grass roots, communitarian options, mutualism and voluntarism, it all worked on budget that never necessarily involved a Corporate Shifty Panhandler.. It was all Free Market, where you had people associating with who they wanted, competed; which kept costs down. A days wage could pay up to a years worth in medical expense, back then.

  • I do not have any faith in the Coercive Monopoly of the State to protect me from other Monopolies that they created in the first place. I rather let myself regulate, like everyone else, to deal with and handle all actions of shifty businesses practices by using Common Law, Anarchic Courts, Fraud Laws. We are not children, its time to pull up our pants and stop relying on a Government to do it for us.

Remember a Government that can give you everything you want, can take it all way. -Jefferson.

  • You are still under the illusion the competitors dont dine and golf together and think of ways to shake you down. You believe there is competition? Weird thing about cell phone companies....they almost always have similar plans with small tweaks here and there but basically they are always over priced. They dont compete with each other to the extent that you imagine them to. And YES, as insulting as it may sound, people are children and made to be everyday through education cuts etc...

  • ...the banks all failed because they exploited govt officials. How much money was discovered in a freezer lately? How many lobbyists are there in DC? You think these lobbyists are working hard for you or is it more likely they represent private enterprise? More banks will fail because of deregulations. As much as I admire Obama, he, like Bush, and every other President before him are at the mercy of billion dollar companies who have stakes in the media. You cant stop the destruction.

  • What part of I am an Anarchist don't you get? Even a Minarchist like Ron Paul and Peter Schiff oppose the lobbying going on in Government. Its barriers to entry, subsidies (welfare, take from the productive give to the unproductive, hand ups against competition etc).. Much of it is Unconstitutional.. A contract sign by dead people, used a ritual during inauguration for political show boating as if there is any real freedom out there.

More banks needed to fail, bank runs needed to happen.

  • Peter Schiff, like Ron Paul, and like Obama, all realize already that the only time you benifit from democracy is on voting day. After that its a free for all for bankers and billion dollar corporations everywhere. Its why Obama is failing now. He does NOT control DC. He has too many bought and paid for democrats and republicans beneath him. You think Paul and Schiff dont know that? Of course they do! They only want to get voted in. After that its speeches and lecturers and business as usual.

  • The executive branch has more legislation power today than anything ever imagined to the degree that Hamilton wanted, the President is no longer bounded to such a limited role as he once was in a Constitutional Republic (however long that lasted). Obama is not some innocent child out in the wilderness trying to find food for the starving village. He is the cancer, not the cure. If you had all those wall-streets subjected to their own loses their own risk, this would of ended already.

  • And there has been a large increase in regulations bandaging one after the other, preventing risk, preventing bank runs, and whats worse of all supposedly protecting us against quasi state businesses like Freddie and Fannie that should of never existed in the first place. Regulations should subjected to competition, operate on their own dime, reflect the demands of the people not a politician, not too big to fail, regulate an industry not force barriers to entry on rules with pre-emptive war.

  • You are talking about America, today. Not Anarchy, not a Free Market. We have one of the largest States in the world, this is hardly a great place to use as an example.

  • Not though education cuts, through education period. Much of the science is lacking, just become a good state slave mixed up in religion if you are lucky, with a false certainty of the world with false historical knowledge or lack there of, just names and dates, shuttered from the grim reality of control and inaccuracies just to legitimize and perpetuate the ever soul sucking State.

  • The soul sucking State that was tainted by private interests, dude. You now want to hand all power to the same people who perverted democracy? That makes no sense at all!! I dont get you, man.

  • You talk about those in there to have an abuse of power, when in reality its the power to abuse. You don't have one interest in Washington, you have a grand free for all, and not just Corporate either, right down to the politician on his own self interest. The State was supposedly an institution to protect us from evil people, to protect property rights and liberty; when its very grounds violate both. You are not focusing on the source, just those funding it.

  • Show me a man who claims to believe they would never cheat on their wives and I will show you a liar. If you think you have no price, it only means you become a target because that belief means that you dont know yourself and hence are naive and ripe for the vultures who hear your bs. How many times have we heard a Republican or Conservative on tv crying their hearts out asking for forgiveness for cheating, stealing, lying? What about the others that havent been caught?

  • "Anarchism is the only philosophy which brings to man consciousness of himself; which maintain the God, the State, and society are non-existent, that their promises are null and void, since they can only be fulfilled only through man's subordination." -Emma Goldman

"I build no system. I ask an end to privilege, the abolition of slavery, equality of rights, and the reign of law. Justice, nothing else. That is the alpha and omega of my argument." -Pierre-Joseph Proudhon

  • "All over the place, from the popular culture to the propaganda system, there is constant pressure to make people feel that they are helpless, that the only role they can have is to ratify decisions and to consume." -Noam Chomsky

  • Ummm.....all the people you quoted didnt move to Alaska to become self sufficient. They all remained by choice to become servents of the system. We will move to the next phase soon enough but probably not in your life time. Capitalism will experience a shift and become a hybrid of socialism because under its current system its unsustainable. The two people you quoted....snip and paste doesnt win the arguement. You are spinning things out of context and side stepping challenges I put to you.

  • Actually all my quotes answer you directly, you are afraid of human action. You want to institutionalize it to protect yourself with security, but you are sacrificing your liberty and in the end you will get neither. I'm sorry how much the truth hurts, but nice try straw-manning me to be some kind of a Hannity drone. You can keep trolling, as the quotes alone should of "won" this argument, for they are an empirical fact. I also laugh how you twist Libertarians to be some kind of Fascists..

  • @BlackOp--

Excellent points all around. Our friend has been thoroughly indoctrinated.

    @Rata--

What you don't seem to get is that if you don't sanction a small group of men with the monopoly of initiating violence then there is no coercive power for evil men to use to their advantage to control or manipulate us. No one is suggesting a land without laws and rules, just that we don't need a mafia in charge of those rules and laws.

    Voluntary interaction,baby!

  • ....the reason why there is so much corruption is because there is so much money from Wall Street flowing into the Whitehouse. There are Wall Street lobbyists (crack dealers) who are loitering the grounds of the whitehouse. Look at all the limos coming and going. Look at all the fabulous presents and such every day being handed out. Paul and Schiff.....real solutions huh? Believe what you want. The Wall Street has you, neo.

  • Wall Street is but the people benefiting off the State bureaucracy of tyranny. Paul has a history of 0 lobbying contribution, and he even returns his funds back to the Government as he doesn't glut his funds. You have little knowledge between Free Markets and Corporatism, the difference is one exists with no State intervention; and the other what we have today.

  • I know what that is. The mechanism for change is simply not there. You cant go after Walmarts and multi billion dollar corporations when they hold all the keys....media and politicians. EVERY politician would have to be on board. The only time change will come is when people stand up and fight. Its time for a revolution, but to tell you the truth, I´m not gonna bother. I got a kid to raise and my boss would kill me if I´m out flipping cop cars over and setting fire to the flag.

  • And just make it clear, no State Intervention means no subsidies, barriers to entry, Corporate Welfare like Bail outs, no more socializing the loses to the tax payers etc...

  • You are spot on BlackOp

  • RIGHT........law enforcement works JUST LIKE pizza delivery!!!!!!! You figured it out........HOW EXCITING :)

  • Comment removed

  • I'M BEING SARCASTIC YOU DUNCE!!!!!! GET YOUR HEAD OUT OF YOUR ASS!!!!!!At least read over WTF you write........"Least with the pizza delivery they go bankrupt if the cops acted like thugs"

  • Comment removed

  • @rata

You would indeed have roads and cops and firemen, they would just be privatized and more efficient. They would have to answer to the people they serve because you could always go elsewhere for the service. The state has a violent monopoly on the services and we have no recourse when dissatisfied. You dont need a group of violent thieves to build infrastructure. Voluntary interaction and non-aggression is the only answer. Violence is never an acceptable solution to a problem. GOVT==VIOLENCE

  • Mr Schiff I divorced the dolor to go to the euro and when she behaved irrational I left them bitchs for the Sucre! So throw it up when you see me and please Mr. Schiff tell Barack Obama to get those military bases of Colombia. 7 military bases won't help them they need non violent methods. Dialogue this is learned when we are young. So why preach otherwise when sending men to war? Colombia has the worst human rights. They kill labor union org. on a constant bases. And what those lady liberty do

  • the bitch switchs her light for a gun. Whats a N_ _ _ _ to do?

  • America, you gotta love it, Bankers get millions, while the little guy loses his house in a foreclosure or short sale and gets a bill from the bank for the deficiency.

  • 1 - Bush left us with a stage 4 cancer economy dying. Option 1 - give the patient pills waiting for inflation in 2025. Option 2-call a surgeon and operate immediately investing immediately and put him in chemotherapy. It will takes months and years to be in remission but al least is save.

2 - The mammoth was stuck in the mud and you either let it become extinct or you had to intervene moving the 4 legs (social services, infrastructure, energy and financial institution).

  • 3 - This crisis highlighted something nobody wants to talk about. Many American jobs are obsolete, because education level is low and the Aerican ingenuity has been killed. So actually the positive side of the crisis is that it forces Americans to investigate new areas of business.

  • There is a big difference between investing money and wasting money. Bush wasted $281B giving it to the 1% of the population who didnt invest it but got supersalaries, superbonuses and golden parachutes when fired (Carly Fiorina $42M, while 2,600 people were fired with a kick in the ass)

  • 4 - Denmark 10 years ago was 100% dependent on foreign oil, they invested in education, increased taxes on emissions, invested in infrastructure creating jobs. Today they are #1 in wind and solar and in 2011 all their cars will be electric and they area also the happiest country in the world.

5 - We passed through a tsunami and we are still checking debris after the storm. 9.7% today means 20,000 job losses in obsolete jobs and 450,000 new jobs in retail and the car industry

  • 6 - In January 2009 (people have short memory) the economists clearly said that doing nothing will bring to a $8trillion deficit, 1/3 of the worldwide population without job with the fall of AIG, and the end of the small business which is the backbone of America. Furthermore they all said that the recover if we intervened would have started in mid-end 2011 and explode in 2013. I am actually surprised the market is reacting positively and quicker than expected.

  • 7 - Obama will recover any money he invested in the next years. What he will not recovery is the $1.3 Trillion deficit created by Bush because that money is lost forever.

8 - The money they got back from banks and car industry MUST be reinvested. This are the basics of capitalism to create jobs and increase creativity. The GOP is on the side of the big banks and refuses to give $30B to the community banks, which are healthy and not in debt, to lend money to small business.

  • 9 - American are like spoiled kids. They like to listen only what it's convenient for them to listen and not the reality even if sucks. Obama is doing what America needs and not what America wants. It's spending a lot of personal capital not to please the spoiled kid .... but Americans will never grow up and recognize their mistakes.

  • The American way of life is unsustainable for the vast majority of citizens. I blame Reagan for this, since he pioneered the idea of American exceptionalism. Ordinary people were being led to believe that they are entitled to consume at rates far surpassing the rest of the world when the vast majority have done nothing exceptional to deserve it. To achieve the American exceptionalism, a lot of consumption became financed by debt.

  • 10 - Health Care and education. Americans spend time talking about taxes that don't increase and passively accept 138% increase in premiums, loans and credit card debt which brings to 85% of their salary to be robbed by the private sector for NO services and work 2-3 jobs

In education loans costs are so high that the offer of doctors, nurses, teachers, etc. is lower than the demand. Most of the doctors are now Indians. 1/2 of the Texas districts have no teachers, nurses, doctors.

  • The Teabaggers Should sign a document in which them and their families give up forever to any public and social service offered today... to be consistent with their unique interpretation of the Constitution: public transportations, Social Security, Water, Army, Medicare, Medicaid, ... you name it ... instead to ENJOY THESE COMMON SERVICES BUT CRITICIZE THEM.

  • As a matter of fact contrary of what Shiff says. the healthiest, wealthiest, free-est, most educated , cleanest, happiest, with lowest poverty and crime rate, 21st century nations are: Denmark, Norway, Holland, Sweden, Germany, Canada, Australia, ... not the US.

  • 11 - the Supreme Court just allowed that the next Senator will be the McDonald candidate not the Kansas candidate. The Deutsche Bank candidate and not the Illinois candidate. The US is already at the last place among the industrialized countries in voting. Only 40% vote candidates sponsored by the corporations and 60% don't vote at all, But the 40% count and govern. In Europe the average is 75% and candidates are not allowed to buy airtime, they have to show who they really are in 3 min

  • 13 - America doesn't need MORE government (what the fuck it means More Government?). America needs EFFICEINT GOVERNMENT. The size is totally irrelevant. When you have 50 states in the US most of them of the same size and polulation of Denmark with local governments, attorney generals and senate and they are all corrupt, in debt, inefficient, unhealthy, poor, and with very high crime rate .... being small becomes totally irrelevant.

  • and when I said never had an efficient government I mostly mean the local small failure governments plus a central government specifically created not to have any power and to be inefficient. Becoming president or senator in the US before Obama it was like winning a lottery and a long trip to the Bahamas paid by the constituents

  • 14 The other HUGE American problem is salaries and bonuses. While in most of the industrialized countries CEOs have more than decent salaries and bonuses in the order of a few million dollars. In the US they give salaries of hundreds of million dollars even before they know if you really deserve it and these people use them for personal reasons and not invest them even if most of this money goes in the pockets of entrepreneurs and financiers.

  • The US president, CEO of the biggest country in the world earns $400k. Rush Limbaugh earns $400M for doing nothing. 1% of the population earns salaries and bonuses in the order of billions of dollars. I calculated that if each and one of these people earned $20-25M (only), you could create 25M jobs paid $40K each.

  • 15- Lobbiests: Americans are so addicted to serve the Fascist Corporate Monopoly (Oil, Pharma, Banks, Insurance Companies, etc.) they work their ass off to please them becoming the whores of the lobby pimps. They continue to vote in power people that go to Washington to be on holiday forever, not legislate, obstructionists, lobbiest prostitutes, deregulators who let the corporation screw you for their bonuses and profits.

Their fake grassroot arm is called Tea Party

  • 16 American legitimate fears for the future and for something new and for change have been manipulated by the conservatives to disseminate fears and panic exactly in the moment people should address their anger and doubts into listening and into understanding why we need to do those painful things Obama asked the country to do to come out of recession.

  • I agree they should revisit the concept of Federal Reserve and the Wars in Afghanistan and Iraq to save more money, but this is not enough to bring the country to work.

  • 17 - Fox = unbalanced = fake news = censorship = no debate = racism = xenophobia = homophobia = religion discrimination = anti-atheists = .... FASCISM

  • Unbalanced - Every time Obama talks subtitles practically telling he is a liar

Fake News - Beck confirmed when interviewed in the Views they never check the source of their information

Censorship - Obama and the GOP Q&A?

no debate - O'Reilly, Hannity cut you off if you don't agree with them ... or cut the satellite

racism - No need to demonstrate

    xenophobia - They "adore" immigrants

    homophobia - please, it's FOX!

    religion discrimination - Islam, Indu,

anti-atheism - just check the videos

  • 18 - NOTE:

2010 is the year in which I want to keep accountable all the PEOPLE WHO CRITICIZE OBAMA and I invite everybody to do the same.

No more Fascist, Nazist, Communist COMMENTS

    Give me your plans in:

Economy, health care, education, transportation, infrastructure, energy, foreign policy, home foreclosures, Financial crisis, Terrorism, Wall street bonuses

How to reduce premiums and loans

    Etc.

Bring also the numbers or shut the fuck up forever

  • AMEN!!!

    thats what i'm talking about!

    PEACE

  • parroting liberal dogma is different than reactionary Republican bs only in the direction the shit flies.

you're part of the problem too

and 50 replies to the same vid bespeaks a form of mental illness also.

  • HaKaras HaTov

  • You're going to criticize the intelligence of other people clarisd?

What you wrote is barely legible.

I don't even care to read what you're arguing about.

    I think this is irony.

  • The financial industry is the problem nothing but psychopaths and car salesman......

  • Your so laughable, if you want to see behind the curtain see, Fall of the Republic or The Obama Deception the false two party system. This is not the free market, this is a battle of whom will control the free market, which in it'self it an oxymoronic frase. Just keep thinking you know it all, did you know that Iraq and Afghanistan is so poluted with spent Uranium that any time in those battlegrounds is a death sentence, so don't get shoot, or bombed but return home and die of cancer.

  • clarisd you should remove the whiskey bottle from your swollen lips because I don't understand one thing you just said.Republicans are a terrorist gang and should be removed from America.

  • You don't understand for the mere fact that it is designed for you to be as low based as you are. As I said yr what they love the most, low based and ignorant. Yr not meant to be truly inteligent, you are as yr meant to be, laughable

  • Peter do you think for a second Greenspan was so naive to think his thesis the financial industry wouldn't do anything to harm themselves if given absolute minimum regulation to be creative with their financial products is

as much of a lie as the Jews claim to be the ever invisible gods chosen ones?

    Atheist.

  • "Absolute minimum regulation" WTF?

  • I think we'll all know soon if Schiff knows what he's talking about.
