The guys with the shotguns should be the 1st to enter, for tactical reasons. This is to maximize the shotgun's spread effect. Usually, a point-man uses the shotgun's shot pattern to literally 'clear' a path for the others to follow.

why do the guys with pistols go in first i think it should be the guys with the rifles but i guess theirs reasons for that but thats just me cause if theirs a guy in their with a fully auto weapon then atleast one guy with a hungun is going to get shot but if they were even it might be a diffrent story

pistols will alow the first few people to maneuver quickly to quickly shoot people before they can do anything back, 1 or 2 bullets from a pistol will be enough to keep them from harming you so the power of the gun doesnt really matter. a bigger gun is slower to quickly aim and shoot or you dont have enough room at all to shoot. also sometimes, the first person wears a shield along with a pistol.

thumper which is used there. Perhaps someone who saw ours adopted

it for the game, afterall stranger things have happened. Seriously, ours is

a real product which is being used by both LE/MIL end users for training

purposes only.

@dorsai The Thumper was a Vietnam grenade launcher. Nicknamed the Thumper because of the "THUMP" sound it made. I believe the technical term is the M-79. Its the grandfather of the M203.

It was used most notably in the Vietnam Conflict by U.S. soldiers, and earned it's nickname from the sound it produced when fired. Although COD is the basis for many people's knowledge of weaponry, someone at their company did their homework to create a realistic arsenal, throwing in the odd classic from time-to-time.

im sorry, did you mean that 'someone at their company' means someone from the COD creaters did their homework to create a realistic arsenal? they have many errors in almost every gun in the COD series, from small errors in reloading to huge ignorant errors in sights, like guns with only a front sight. i havn't seen any other realistic game with more idiotic weapon-errors than COD.

The pistol looks like an TMP, i don't know if i'm right. But as you probably know, even tho' it's a newer kind of handgun. It's an automatic pistol just like an Uzi (I'm not gonna act like I know everything about guns, but I just say what it could be.

Steyr TMP is a machine pistol with the magazine dropping well below the firing grip, and it has a forward grip.

I'm an old army guy, why is the breach man carrying a pistol while the 3rd and 4th are carryin an mp5 (guessing) and some form of a carbine rifile? I can understand the rifle being the last one in because of the range of motion, but a pistol in first? is that wrong, my ttp's are a little different, like 40mm exolosives different.

@5567ism I wish I could answer your question. The footage was shot out in california by one of my sales agents quite some time ago. Perhaps this was just an opportunity to film the use of the grenade and not a well planned exercise. To date those who employ this product have found it serves their needs pretty well. @5567ism i would believe it was because with a pistol you can react faster and find your targets faster...if u went in with a rifle or as you say, an mp5, you would have to swing the whole weapon around to find the nearest target..

I understand your point, you'd want the shotgun/MP5's at the front. Pistol has brilliant pointability, but not really enough ammunition if targets are armoured, and it usually lacks the stopping power anyway.

in my training, each person behind the other person points their guns in opposite directions to avoid. the only person who points his gun forward is the lead person, and if the lead person is down then the guy behind him acts fast and to oppose the enemy! this was a bad entry, they couldve all been killed, or the enemy wouldve escaped !

The reason the bang sounds quiet is for two reasons:

As Unit6 mentioned its a training round. Anyone who is constantly exposed to the sound of a real flashbang in training is going to lose their hearing eventually.

Second reason is that the flashbang is being tossed into a room that the cameraman is not inside so the mic isn't going to pick up just how loud the bang is to someone inside the room. If you look at the Thumper TG-6 Demonstration video, you get a better idea of how loud the thing is.

No the shotgunner should be the breach only and cover fall back load out would be 2 slugs then buckshot. The first person in should be using a 9mm as it is a shorter pull if there is someoen just inside the doorway. The problem with this group is there are to many going into a small room and leaving their exit unprotected. Common mistake in the army, and always a problem with the police.
