@matthewrockslol22 I'm not the type that argues about technology, but if a group of people got together and discussed technology, they are technically gathering in a group and conversing, and thus they have a social life. Maybe next time you should learn words before you use them.
@matthewrockslol22 What do you think social networking is? It may not be the best form of social interaction but that doesn't mean it isn't any kind of social interaction.
Well a workaround could be running OS X on your PC. But so what if you cant run logic on windows? Windows has many good options like cubase, acid, flstudio, and live (although it is available for OS X too).
And Macs can run Windows, without any trouble. When Vista came out, most PCs couldn't even run it well. Lots of problems with hardware compatibility, lack of support for UI effects (even with a 256 MB graphicscard). However, it runs smoothly on an iMac, installed via Bootcamp.
My friends who still have PCs, are still using Win XP, because of continuous problems.
I'm using a MacBook for my work (pressphotographer), and I still haven't found an affordable Windows laptop with the same batterylife
With every new OS you'll need faster hardware to run it at the same speed as previously. This is true of Leopard and Tiger.
Vista was never a "bad" product. Its because OEMs like HP decided to install vista on PCs with less than 1gb ram and whatnot. if you look at benchmark results, though, you'll see that vista is faster than XP given you at least have a dual core and 2gb of ram.
I would agree with you on the batterylife if it weren't for the fact that you are referring to macbooks and not macbook pros.
Go to any OEM site and I guarantee you every laptop will get at least 5hrs battery life. PCs are equally capable as macs when it comes to media. ilife software is not for professionals. Of course, though, you can buy programs like Logic for Mac, but chances are that the exact program is out for PC too or there is a good alternative(s) for PC
"I would agree with you on the batterylife if it weren't for the fact that you are referring to macbooks and not macbook pros."
Of course I meant MacBook Pro. Mainly I use Aperture for photo organizing and editing, which is only made for Mac. I tried Lightroom and other apps as well, but nothing that work as well, as Aperture.
Anyway, there's different computers and apps for different kind of taste. I've used Mac for 10 years, and don't feel like changing to Windows. I left when Win98 came out
He is right about one thing, the to much power part, although, PC fans. I wouldn't worry. You don't have to worry about such a thing like that... you have no power.

Damn, Dave Letterman is doing these "look at yer fancy technology, it don't work" jokes. An old man telling jokes for the adult-diaper demographic. To paraphrase: it's not your father's comedy ... it's your _grandfather's_.

Yes, Macs are quite popular with superficial college kids and homosexuals, so it's no wonder you're a Mac user.
I, however, prefer the versatility and wide range of uses I can get out of a PC, so I don't have a $5000 Mac paperweight.
ChudFapper 4 years ago
Where do you pay $5000 for a Mac? Maybe you should find another dealer or get updated. Check out Apple's website. That's a good start.
I'd just say this: If I had as much trouble with my toaster as my friends have with their PCs, I would bring it back to the store immediately.
Btw, how well does Windows run Logic Studio? Oh wait, it doesn't!

If you compare with Windows updates, Mac OS X run a lot better on older Macs (except Snow Leopard, as it only will run on Intel based Macs).
Recently I tried to install the latest version of Mac OS X 10.5.7 on my iBook G3 from 2001. With a few tweaks, it could run it acceptable.
Snow Leopard will be optimized to run faster and use less harddisk space.

That power could be used using Windows. It took apple to find out how to use all the power.
