  • Mall

  • oh my gawd! i love your accent! (:

  • how old are you?! you are really freakin cute : )

  • Hahaha. You're so handsome. :)

  • mall = mawl

  • mal

    bul-i-vard

    jack a ss

  • haha thats very cool. In Colorado we say ledder not le'er. I say post with a t since it's such an unusual word for me to say I guess. Another thing I noticed about my accent is that if I am trying to say pot I say po' but when I try to say pots i pronounce the t.

  • I want to see how a Brit says: Mountain Button Letter and Gutter. I come from Colorado, where we have "mountain accents" which means we cant say the Ts in the middle of our words.

  • @LAURLEEAME Jus' like us in South Yorkshire (England) XD For example "I'm gunna go pu' pos' in le'er box." :) I'm going to go put the post in the letter box.

  • i rccen assholes... yes you do dont you

  • or three british say free

  • bull - uh - vard

  • This kid is so adorable I love his accent. Not to be too offensive but I think its the welsh that have that really annoying accent its like the hillbilly version of a british accent.

  • You can pronounce mall like maul. Bull- a - vard. And you pronounced jackass correctly (without the r) :)

  • @littlemisstootsie :) Agreed.

  • mol. blavard. jackass

  • I'm American but don't think I've heard marl ... Bugger ;) lol

  • I'm an Australia and I always struggle with jackass too..

  • Lol I'm from England and these words pretty much come naturally to me.. Not hard in the slightest!

  • Mall is pronounced like Paul except with a m sound at the beginning. It was pretty close when you said "morl". The second word is like "Bull-i-vard". You said Jackass correctly.

  • If it makes you feel better, some British words are tough, such as "arse". Most Americans would pronounce it with the hard "r" that is the hallmark of an American accent. Also we dont say "Jag-you-are". We say "Jag-wire". :-p And dont forget: "Rubber" means condom here. My British cousin found that out the hard way on her first day of Calculus class at an American university. Lol.

  • Tip for "mall": If you can say hall, tall, small, call, Paul, fall, all, etc., just say one of those and replace the first letter with an "m". The first one, "morl", sounded fine to me, and I'm American :P

  • lol jackarse

  • Thanks to him i Now scream ''Jackarse'' To my moron of a friend Micheal eh i'll get used to it

  • @Yipper83 i think he's trying to say mall

  • @ashguy6 well you can't pronounce mall right and you don't here us Americans talking about you British, do you?

  • you had it on the jackass when you first said it

  • Mall (Moll) Boulevard (bull uh vahrd) Ass (as)

  • im from NY. mall...how you said it the first time would sound correct (to me). boulevard...how you said it the first time would sound correct. jackass...how you said it the first time would sound correct; if you said it the way you did the second time u would prob get your ass handed to you.

  • @0zMovies Your accent is so nice <3

  • hOW OLD ARE 7YOU?

  • does he mean moral?

  • actually it mall could be said all three ways depending on what part of the USA

  • ur hotttt :D <3 accents... im american :D

  • You got bigger :D I watched the emoticons one before this one o.O

  • "mall" is pronounced like the word maul.

  • i can say them all because i am amercain

  • How old are you exactly?

  • Dude your accent is sooooooo sexy...

  • I love the way you speak.

  • Dude, I don't care how an Australian mispronounces an American word. Aussie accents are so darn cool it doesn't matter.

  • Jack arse haha

  • "Mall" is like the tool you use to make a hole with an "m" in front of it. "Boulevard" is a French word, I probably misspelled it, and your last try is right on the money. And finally, "Jack Ass" should be clear enough. Jack + A as in apple + sss like a snake hissing. Hope this helps.

  • Ok, I have a few things to say.

    1. I love your videos.

    2. You're cute. XD

    3. I love your accent.

    4. I'm an Australian :).

  • The braces are givin' him a charming sound in his accent :)

  • lol

  • You have a charming accent! I have enjoyed all of your videos! Good job!

  • i think you should come to crewe! wooo, the shit of the north

  • Can you pronounce Avenue? :P

  • I actually jump cuts are practical, to condense the vid to a reasonable size, and also it kind shows the thought process of the review!

  • Well, in dutch-english it is: Jèkezzzz :D

  • Who cares if you can't prenounce words??? Why do you need to upload a video on a worldwide social website????

    I say it again.

    WE DON'T FRIGGIN' CARE!!!!

  • @MRFREAK177 then don't FRIGGIN' watch his videos if you don't care. some people find it entertaining.

  • @GUGU8b Yeah what a show... Jeeez....

  • Having studied German and Greek; I must say American is a piece of cake. Now Somerset is a tongue twister!!

  • Maul, Bull-uh-vard, jack-cass. Try sour patch kids :)

  • I love the way the brits talk.

  • Your like waaaaaay hot dude. ;)

  • Maul/Mawl. Bull-a-vard. I don't use the phrase "Jackass" much at all... I usually just call people "Ass," if they're being stupid. "Jackass" and "donkey" are one and the same, so jack-ass (rather than arse), would be correct.

In any case, it's always a treat to hear Brits say "Mall." Thanks for that..

  • I love the word arse, but since I live in America, most people don't know what I'm saying when I say it.

  • Orson! Glad you're back. xD

  • Haha I just found out I can't say any of those either with an Australian accent.

I don't think I've ever even said boulevard or mall before. :P

  • look i am not an english one but i like britan accent more thin american

  • Yeah, the hand, must be double-jointed.

  • do you reply to comments?

  • @TheCorrectinator sometimes

  • @0zMoviesX3 ...... srry but its funny to me =w=

  • 0zmovies... Orson rocks !! Thank you for posting !

  • hahaa i love your accent when i grow up i wanna go to the UK and hope to god the accent will grow on me XDD <3 <3

  • The thumbnail makes you look like you're a human na'vi.

  • <3

  • Fun, but also imagine how much trouble we Americans have with London Underground stations such as Gloucester Road, Leicester Square, Vauxhall, etc. I never did learn some of them properly! :-)

  • I have to agree with @sk8rfish it does depend on where in the US you live to depend on how it's pronounced. I also agree with @bjohn131313 it's very with that statement as well.

  • Great vid, 0z! I love hearing how people from other countries think about our American accents, so this video was great. I study language, phonetics, and dialects a great deal, so I thought I put in my $0.02. First of all, mall rhymes with ball. It's that simple. And mall is an extremely common American word. Second of all, boulevard is actually a french word, so most Americans don't pronounce it right either. And finally...say "jackarse". When you say "arse", it sounds like "ass" to us.

  • @bjohn131313 Oh...and BTW....don't say "ass". It's like an American saying "bloody". It just sounds silly...almost embarassing...with your British accent. So stick to arse.

  • interesting

  • oh my God 0rson (with zero?) dont tell that was moast interesting thing you noticed in America? Cmon, you can make more intresting vid than about spelling.... ;-)

  • and by american you mean the US

    yeah

    great everyone forgot Canada...

that being put aside when I moved here I also had problems with pronunciation and I just gave up...

I say it my way and if they don't understand I saw I'm a tourist

    always works

  • Dude, you're overthinking it! :P American pronunciations vary wildly from one state to the next, so just pick your favourite and roll with it!

  • 'ghoti' is a constructed word, by Shaw, I believe which on another pronounciation guide could be completely silent. There are so many 'silent letters' in English that it is theoritically possible to construct a completely silent word (ghoti could be completely silent) the longest words I found with silent letters are 'soughagni' and 'boutique'. English is so anarchic and diverse that any rule has an exception and any dialect variation is possible. G'day all that's m'all.

  • I completely refuse being lectured about pronunciation in a language that allows the word "ghoti" to be pronounced as "fish". I mean come on. That's just plain anarchy right there.

  • @0zmovies. 'ium' is more correct (metallic element n'all) but English language usage is strange. I was born in a small town called 'Canowindra' pronounced 'Can-ow-dra' where the 'in' or 'win' is silent! That must be pretty high in the weird English usage stakes!

  • only when you go to other places that you speak English accents different perception is the same here in Brazil in sao paulo the accent is different from Rio de Janeiro

but his accent is great Orson!!

  • hottieeeeeee<3

  • The difference is where you place your syllabic breaks, A-LUM-in-um or Al-U-min-um. Budding poets can have endless fun with making new syllabic breaks and emphasis with words. Well, not en-dless fun.

  • @markwhalanaus In the UK, the spelling is different. It's Aluminium. So we pronounce it (al-loo-MIN-ee-um)

  • Mall is the first one, boulevard you got pretty close.

  • and non of the amracan can pernouce aluminium

  • @ashguy6 Yeh, those bloody Amracans!

  • @0zMovies I can pronounce it and dont call me us bloody americans what did we ever do

  • @ashguy6 actually there are two different ways to spell aluminum, and "Amracans" choose to spell it the original way... it was changed at some point to make it more congruent with the other element suffixes.... so yea

  • @ashguy6 What's an amracan, and aluminum, and pronounce?

  • @ashguy6 i can! well im really cadadian, so that helps...but i live in america now.

  • It's interesting:) tell us more please x

  • one hint i tell all my british friends on how to speak in an american accent:

talk out of the front of your mouth, not to the side. can specifically see it on R's (check when he says "arse")

  • i have same trouble. and i dont think its totaly awsome woo

  • Love it haha

  • The way you pronounce the words works just fine. After all, even we in North America have very different ways of pronouncing a lot of words.

  • Brilliant .... better with a British accent... but all the same you are Brilliant..... with my American accent, I applaud your observations....

  • omg ur hott!!(:

  • bull e vard

  • MORL : This German word, but I do not know its meaning.

    MAL : Muh-all

    MARL : "Clay"In English

BLAVARD :I do not know, do you mean>> BOULEVARD

Take my advice ...... As long as you speak English original,,, then stuck out ... Do not care for other accents .... Better to be proud of your Accent your accent is beautiful and I love it.

  • l o l z

  • The other night there was a cool party at the Jamaican complex. About a thousand people there. I was British, Matt was a Vermont american. So it was fun Being British for the night. Why do american girls love a British accent. I did well-Matt was ignorred. It was funny.

  • Thanks very much. A short but funny vid. I work with friend who is a bartender at Flemings Prime Steakhouse in Destin Fl. He is from London and Im from Boston.

It's been fun teaching him the American accent while he's been teaching me proper English. After watching your video's, I have tried to perfect the perfect British accent.

  • People will know exactly what you mean whichever way you say it. So many of us Americans mumble and talk like we have a mouthful of crap, there's no way they should have trouble understanding your clear enunciation.

  • Oz, your biggest problem in LA is going to be avoiding getting mistaken for Justin Bieber. And if you want to know how to pronounce his name, ask a German! Oh, and watch your ass out there cruisin' down them blvards.

  • Mall sounds like maul, like a lion would maul a person. Blavard, with no vowels, sounded right, and it's definitely jackass, not arse, we never say arse

  • Mall. Boulevard. Jackass. Orson, it was so lovely to meet you.

  • Dude, that's hilarious. When you say "arse", I hear "ass", but with a British accent.

  • nice video ::

  • You did pronounce them all right - at least once.

  • LoooooooooooooooooL

  • Haha. That was cute.

Brit trying to pronounce Americans words. :-)

I don't know if these help you but:

    Mawl

    Bull a vard

And you said Jackass correct the first time.

  • Stick to the Queen's English and you'll be fine :)

  • Mall: Muh-all.

    Boulevard: Bowl-uh-vard

    Jackass: Jack-ass, not arse.

And I yes, I did enjoy that.

  • Somehow I believe you will make though your life without being able to pronounce " Mall,Boulevard or Jackass"....that is of course if you try real hard...lol

  • If you were really old you could have tapped random Californians and demanded they speak the Queen's English!

  • Couple of points: the name ass was changed to donkey so that Jesus didn't ride into Jerusalem on an arse. I think in the past, maybe the English also said ass, but the a sound became elongated (but don't quote me). Boulevard is French, so just say boolervard. Mall - think of Pall Mall. Rhymes with Al, as in Alan. Forget the Yanks and say shopping centre, but talk about The Mall.

  • @zenbluescat it should have been changed to dick so it would be more realistic

  • Umm yup, i really enjoyed that, actually :)

  • that is okay

  • its Mall,Bo-le-vard and jack-ass

  • I enjoyed that.

  • Boulevard is more or less pronounced like Bull-a-vard

  • Mall Mmm - all .

  • That was really great Orson. i think that your last boulevard pronunciation sounds pretty reasonable. Sounds like you had a nice time in LA.

  • I'm guessing that your trip so far has consisted of going to see Jackass at a mall located on a boulevard.

  • You should visit the US more often, to work on your American accent.

  • Hey Orson !

It's OK for me because I'm speaking french and your "american" accent is funny !

Anyway, i love your English accent ;-)

    Mall = "Centre commercial"

    Jackass = "Jean-foutre"

    Boulevard = "Chaussée" / "Boo-le-varrrr"

    ;-)

    ЗĂŁΘŎ

  • STOP BEIN' A JACKAS. lol. I hope your having a great time. Don't rush back London is on fire and all the shops have been looted and are empty. Well it's not that bad but it is pretty alarming. I'm staying in doors and I ' aint goin' out!!!

  • You are hot:3

  • I agree with @IndigoUndecided as far as the pronounciation of Jackass. Anyway, Orson, you are awesome, bud. :P Its ok if you cant pronounce it. Americans are even worse at pronouncing things from the UK anyway.

  • Probably easiest if pronounced as maul (mawl)

    Bull-i-vard or bull-a-vard (as mentioned)

Jackarse sounds much better than jackass anyway

  • Wow. Never thought those would be hard to pronounce for other people..

  • Like New Orleans is N'Orleans, blavard, some accents like say Boston would be closer to an English accent.

  • ppl in uk say jack ass not arse

  • Lovely.

  • ma-l

    bull-a-vard

    jack ass

  • jackarse :D i'l make a mental note to say that more often

  • you are so cute!

  • i love this lol it was funny do more

  • i enjoyed it and i love your accent

  • @SprousevilleFilms yeah, his accent is lovely xD

  • Make more like these :)
