i remember mining a crapton of opal with a miner somewhere in federation space. It was a rock planet IIRC, was selling opal 900$ a piece. Made millions in a relatively short time span... then tried to build a powerfull starbrige but failed (buyed poor stuff, it was my first play through it, on the demo)
