You guys who complain about Paul's beliefs have a religion of your own and are just as free to express it! (America! Remember?) It is a SCIENTIFIC FACT that a BIBLICAL diet is healthiest!

Unbelievable how peoples religion is always the right one. It's so sad people live in fear of God and have to pick a right religion and follows it's taboos. I believe in God of all power, without limits and of love, I need no man or book to tell me how to. My faith is directly into God and the golden rule. If God wanted me to know something special it would have printed on my skin. All the proof I need in God is that something had to start the universe. Nice family. Like your concept of DIY.

The whole idea of a woman being unclean when she menstruates does not sound natural to me...it sounds like a "man made" idea. I don't consider myself a feminist, but such beliefs tend to perpetuate patriarchal ideology and oppress women.
I am totally in favor of homeschooling and natural living, but I believe it is important to keep an open mind and find what is good in all religions. No one is superior, no one is inpure...we are all equal.
@peaceandveggies - menstruation is a loss of a potential life... that is why it is "unclean"...just like a man who emits seminal fluid. So - the man has more potential to be in an unclean state than a woman because her menstrual cycle is once per month... So how is that oppressive of women?? The point of an unclean state is that it represents death... God always intended for life... It had to do with entering the tabernacle/temple... though we will not know the full implications yet.

There is also some scripture that deals with the plan God had for the education of his children.
What about in Hebrew 8:7 for if that first covenant had been faultless, then no place would have been sought for a second. 8:13 In that He says "A new covenant," He has made the first obsolete. Now what is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to vanish away.
@napturalizer - the "problem" with the first covenant was that the priesthood was not perfect... and the sacrifices couldn't make a person perfect. That's what Hebrews was talking about (and Romans to an extent)... don't "throw out the baby with the bath water".
It's pretty definate that if you leave your home, you'll be sitting on a seat or touching or eating things touched by women on their period ....in a raw food restaurant, health food store, etc. Any food you buy in a store could have been harvested, packaged, prepared by a woman on her period. If someone is worried about that for real, then they should grow everything they eat and prepare it themself.

I believe the cheating is in the mind first anyway and that is where the person needs to have self control....of what they are thinking about.
What does organized religion have to do with raw food? People from all different faiths and philosophies all over the world have bettered their lives and healed from supposedly "incurable" diseases by changing their diets and life choices...not because they subscribe to any specific belief system. Give love and treat others with the same kindness and respect you'd like to be treated with. It's that simple.
@lcowles - as the apostle Peter stated - God "has given us all things that pertain to life and godliness". His instructions are for ever part of our lives of us who believe. When other persons knowingly or unknowingly do parts of it - they WILL reap the benefit here and now. That was what Paul was saying in the first part of Romans as well. He basically was saying that even when persons who never were taught the things of God - practice it - it is of some benefit.
Thou shalt keep thy hands unto thy self, lest ye end up with sticky/ smelly fingers! Me thinks Confuscius say so!
