hi thanks for the post i will be getting on to this asap as i have had the same problem with my car and have since replaced the edc dampers for KW v1's (which i highley recommend) and it keeps on coming up with the same message! thanks again.
@printltd Sorry mate, but i don't know anything about the E53, so I really don't know if it would work or not. It's worth putting it up on the hoist though and having a look to see if the height sensor is there or not. Sorry I couldnt be of more help

Shot in the dark, could this method be used on a 2002 e53 X5?
Suspension looks and feels fine just can't get rid of the "Self Level Susp Inactive" message.
