3) Say "THIS IS THE BEST THING EVER!"

It's a mystery novel where you have to get over the fact that not everything is exactly as you see it. Goatmen, and girls who turn into stakes? Witches? What are you actually being shown?

The scenes where Battler and Beatrice in the meta-world are pretty much supposed to represent the battle between you figuring out the human culprit and the author insisting "fantasy!"

@RandomAvatarFan Well, fuck. That's the best anwser, bro/sis. Maybe my problem was that this was gonna be like Higurashi, the novels were okay, but the anime was great. So I watched the Umineko anime, and boy was it weird (at least for me). People getting killed, the same people are alive somewhere else, and the unecessary gore the characters look great, the mystery is amazing, but the elements are beyond confusing.

@xIchipoo The problem is, the entire series is a translator's nightmare. Once you get past how you need to make sure to preserve the -exact- meaning of everything said in red text, keep in mind that the epitaph is 100% unsolvable if you don't know Japanese.
