I loved it when the OD patient was leaned forward, apparently vomiting, and the paramedic threw her head back like "why me?"...I think that was the most realistic part of the video lol
BSI , Scene safety, ABC's, i think i forgot some that goes in between like number of patients and determining mechanism of injury or nature of illness but meh lol. im actually in EMT-B class right now. BEst class ive ever taken =D
awesome video...im almost an EMT, currently an EMR in the state of CT i just gotta get threw my written and ill be all set...thanks for the video great job
those paramedics arent very good at introducing themselves to the patients, they didnt do a rapid assessment on the patient who got hit by the car, and they probably should have put him on a backboard as well
Def not a day in the life.. but nice... I wish I had crew quarters to post in for my 24 and not in the truck... sucks so bad... I lol'd when he was in front of the truck..nice vid.

Anyone else notice, that for a trauma, they didn't cut patient's clothes off. He could have have lower extremity injuries. Yes I'm aware it's staged, but if your going to do it. Do it right, have some fun too everyone loves TRAUMA NAKED =)
3 paramedics in the same ambulance ??? I'm a paramedic student in québec (canada) and we only got 2 paramedics in one ambulance.... what is the utility of the third paramedic ? (and sorry for my english , i am french canadian )
the reason for three is most importantly if they're working a cardiac arrest. one medic by himself/herself CANNOT do CPR, intubate, ventilate, establish IV lines, prep dugs, push multiple drugs, place leads, cardiovert, pace, defib etc. we only have two hands. the more available, the better.
@fdl0wut same here over in BC. Would love a 3rd member though. 2 more hands and another brain go along way!! Btw, I love the Quebec ambulance company- Demers.
Dépend t'es où ! Au québec c'est deux oui mais en france j'crois que cest 3 et aux états-unis paraitrait-il que des médecins prennent place à bord des ambulances !
Todat at the pool I lfeguard at, we had a 3 year old boy drown. After my co-workers pulled him out, and I was the one who gave CPR. Every time I would give rescue breaths, he would clench his teeht and make this struggling sound, and then he would fade again. And every tme, I just said to him "Keep holding on!"
This video and song really touch me now, because I think about someone struggling for their life. Anyway I am in tears so I should stop typing. Thanks for the upload!
lol vehicle verses pedestrian but no police present. over dose and the same. lol. but great video . i LOVED how as so as they 10 8 they get called back. THAT is realistic .
Not really, that's how it works; one partner attends the patient while the other works in a support role and drives. Some crews switch roles every patient other switch days. Its quite normal.
I want to tell you that the video was amazing.I want to tell you a little bit about myself,i'm a fifteen year old boy who has been wanting to become a paramedic ever since i was little. The reason why i would like to be become a paramedic is because whenever i see someone who needs help in an accident or something like that,i just don't want to stand there and let that person die wright in front of me,i want to save the person that i see injured or dying,i would like to save their life.
dont let it be a dream man if you want it do it, do it now start learning reading youll soon be in high school start to understand basic concepts when u get a little bit into high school then start takeing online class's or basic emt class's.
i wanted to be a firefighter im a volly but im doing what i love and wouldnt change it for anything.
Hey thanks for giving me some tips for learning and understanding the basic concepts, this is going to help me a whole lot.THANK YOU!!(: -it's a smiley face to show my appreciation.
Hey man we are trained to see things that no one else sees. If your video has caught that much attention, be proud that that many medics wanted to watch it. Its kinda like that game in the comic section where you have to find the differences in to pictures. Keep up the good work.
Just so everyone knows, this is not really how they do it!!! This was a 5 min project I did for a media production class and we had 10 min to film on "scene" in the ambulance. There was no time to do it realisticly so stop telling me that they were doing it "Wrong", and realize it isn't realistic!!!!
Hey, Stop complaining. This was just a project that someone did. It was not meant to show everything and how to do it right. It was just a fun little video. Thanks ;)

Ok, so I work in the field and I thought it was a great video. Great job!! Were there missing elements? Of course, but its clear this wasn't meant as a training video but an "idea" of what we do on a day to day basis for people who don't know. Don't worry about some of these other guys saying it wasn't realistic. You did a great job and this paramedic appreciates it!

Here you have a patient with a reduced level of consciousness, and the possibility of a closed head injury. I guess oxygen therapy is a "nice to do thing" in the US...
At least you finally made good use of your lifepack 12.
Good song to go along with the video. Nothing like saving a life of someone that you know would not make it. Keep up all the hard work fellow brothers, sisters, stay safe.
Well at least she got to sit down for a few seconds and take a drink of coffee before the next call came in....
