  • @whodoyouthink8-AWWWSOME! Thank you for posting this. Hadn't heard his voice since I was a child, quite a while ago. Beautiful job on the video. Happy Holidays.

  • Not only do I love this song, but your very quick photos keeping in time with the lyrics were not only amazing, but they made me laugh, literally at how quick you interjected them. I know that wasn't an easy task! Well done!

  • Fabulous!

  • Lovely song>

  • the what a pity picture is great!! lol

  • Great visuals!

  • Hank Snow....the best country singer ever...and I am a Linkin Park fan...Hank had style

  • I'd like to see the guy brave enough to attempt this on karaoke. :P

  • Coolest video ever.

  • I love all the photos . But the main one is Ferriday ! You must be from Ferriday ? The pic of Ferriday is accurate but no outsider would know that . It is a pic of a little cafe with Brocato's sign on front . I have passed that for years and that 18-wheeler has always been parked out front .

  • Very well done Thank You !

  • Winnemucca? You can get a T-Shirt that says:

    Where the fucca is Winnemucca?

  • That's a funny song.

  • This is Hank Snow's song. I love Johnny Cash but his version is a rendition of the original.

  • amazes me how many people live in distorted belief. Original works way better.

  • Listen to Lucky Star, Australian version if you want to hear fast, This is slow

  • @mrwarmth21 Uh, no.... With all due respect, I think you're misunderstanding me. I'm not saying the song wasn't just about over...I'm saying that during the fadeout, the video (and sound) just cuts off abruptly.

  • @Milesco sorry pal but i didnt post it i just typed it in to hear it. i just played it though and didnt have a prob.we used to do this # my bro played lead uncle played soc-rythm i played bass and vocal i spent many hours learning the words but they dug it always requested peace

  • @Milesco somebody named whodoyouthink posted it it plays all the way on my old apple sorry

  • how dose he go so fast

  • @bandued If you think THIS is fast, check out Elwood Blues singing "Rubber Biscuit."

  • No picture for Chattanika.

  • The picture for Toronto should have been the skyline of Toronto Canada.

  • Heavens to Murgatroid! THANKS for posting this classic tune, along with those awesome images! KUDOS! Many have covered this song...but Hank's original version is STILL my fave! You've MADE my day & my week! CHEERS, mate! :-)

  • what fool ? does not like this song? Muslim? may be

  • Nothing was even mentioned about any place in Montana, so he hasn't been everywhere

  • Great job! Very entertaining!

But....I hate to complain, since you've obviously put a lot of effort into it, but....why the sudden cutoff at the end? What happened there?

  • the kiwi version is pretty good to sung by John Hore!!

  • I used ot listen to Hank on the radio before I hitched the horses to the double-trees and then set out to skid logs in 1960. Never heard of Johnny Cash singing that back then either.

  • Great song no one ever did this as good as Hank

  • Great Video!

  • MY GREAT GRANDPA WAS BEST FRIENDS WITH HANK SNOW :D

  • My stepfather loved this song,"Thank,"Here to him ,RIP. Cat Nelson !

  • lol this is fun

  • Two agoraphobics.

  • I love this! And the video is great, I remember my father singing this to me when I was little, not quite as good as Hank, I'm sure, but to me, they were both great. Thanks for posting this video.

  • LOVE IT!! :-D Still as great as it was when I heard it back in the '60s!

  • AWESOME VIDEO EFFECTS YOU DID A EXCELLENT JOB. THIS WAS A JOY TO WATCH AND TO HEAR THANK YOU. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK.

  • Not bad for a Canadian eh!!!

  • @TheFarmerfitz ouch, lol

  • Both are great..

  • sounds not good to me, like all those songs NOT from Johny Cash, sorry but i can't listen to those slow versions. maybe my personal oppinion but i think Johny gave all the songs a very vivid touch and the best beat and Guitars. J.$ Forever!!!

  • Great job on the photos !!!!!!!

  • Terrific geography lesson ~ even in the modern internet-age of 2011. Good job of matching the video/audio with photos of places mentioned in this popular song from the 'Baby Boomer' generation of the 50's & 60's. Thanks for posting as this brings back so many fond memories.

  • Fourth verse Gravolbourg Saskatewan,I've been there Man Population 837.My father was born there and just found out today that it's in the song!

  • Great song! My dad got me into this song way back in ther day. Thx for postin'!

  • Always loved the song, Classic Hank Snow. You did a Great job of finding all the places. Thanks, I'd bet Hank would think you did a Great job too.

  • Best Version Ever

  • Props for including the famous Pete's Kitchen in Denver, Colorado for the line "for Pete's sake"!

  • i suggest you change the Toronto picture to the CN tower and the Ottawa picture to Parliament Hill

  • He was amazing! I couldn't read them that fast!

  • its good, but the mike ford version is waaay better!

  • great video, just great, I bet it took a very long to make , Just Great

  • Little Rock! I live just a few minutes from that bridge :)

  • A #1 hit for the late Hank Snow on the Country & Western charts. It was the 60th #1 song on the C&W charts in the Rock Era.

  • This is the most super slide show I've yet to see with an audio clip.....and one of my all-time favorite country songs...by a great country singer. Be willing to bet you have something more sophisticated than Windows MovieMaker! Did someone do a follow-up international "Everywhere" song, places around the world? Was it the great Hank or someone else?

  • 1:58 L0L :D

  • Johnny Cash did his version in 1996. Hank put his out in 1962. I still think nobody can sing it like Hank.

  • Mm! Rib Crib! :D haha Awesome song!

  • What a great video to a fun song.

  • Great video for a great song!

  • Ha Ha Ha ... you know...this was the 1st "rap" song ever.

  • It wasn't until I was an adult that I found out Johnny Cash had a version too.

  • I would think that the trucker would be a bit uneasy when he told him he was a killer...

  • Outstanding! This is one of the best videos I have seen for any song.

  • I havnt been to that many places, but I have been to gravelburge, the pic that shows up is of the cathederal thats in the town

  • Some great work with the photos, and the audio is super.Thanks.

  • i like the fast part

  • Thanks this is so YummY!

  • Fast singing and very good.

  • Unbeatable!

  • Haha, well done on the pictures. Its a great old song and the pictures were a real nice touch. Nice bit of humor. =)

  • never been anywhere but id love to go there uhh .stuck in uk

  • LashBridges

    That's a good story. Thanks.

  • This isn't well known but according to an interview I heard with Hank this started as an Australian song. The towns listed were all from there and they sent it back to the writer and this is what came back.

  • @591959ds yes lucky starr had a hit with it down under.

  • Love this and GREAT video to go with it! First time I ever heard this song was by Hank Snow back in 1966! I've loved him ever since. Thanks!

  • Here's a great story. Hank Williams was walking through Renfro Valley with his friend one night. Some fella yelled out, "hey Hank." Williams turned around to answer, and Hank Snow turned to Williams and said, "he means me, young man."

  • Cash is good, but you should hear Stompin Tom's version!!

    Beavers Rule!

  • This is a good song, Although I have to admit I like Johnny Cashs' version better!

  • At 1:29 where is that place? The picture with the stone columns on the grass?

  • I been to tallapoosa too...Hell...I live off of AL-79....Hell...that's my red car 1:25

  • Excellent!

  • Great pics!

    Thanks!

  • GREAT job, complimenting the song with this video!

  • Amercia The Beautiful!!

  • Ik Hank is the guy who made the song buy Johnny cash ows this song

  • holy shim this is a really cool video. nnnoooiiiicce!

  • awesome version! hank is the man.

  • Always liked this song, it wan't typical of a real rock and roll hit but more in the lines of johnny cash or billy grammer. Anyway the video makes up for everything and I'll assure you that I will tune this video/song in again before too long. It's a great western classic that was played on rock radio here in Vancouver Canada 'cause we didn't have a country music station back in theat era but now we do. In 1986 we got country music station CJJR fm, we should be so lucky! Thanks for postin.

  • I've listened to CJJR Damn good music wish we can get it down here.

Here's another top rated radio station

Seattle's KMPS 94.1 FM Especially with Ichabod Caine.

  • I heard Hank Snow's version often on the radio years ago. Never even knew Johnny Cash had a version of it. This song belongs to Hank.

  • @bodryn ...lol, no it doesn't belong to Hank at all. This song belongs to Geoff Mack the author of this cover version and the author of the ORIGINAL Australian version and to Lucky Star the performer of the original version that makes this look slow and retarded.

  • Comment removed

  • @likekinds ...I very much doubt that you knew that Geoff Mack or Lucky Starr existed...I'm glad that you now do.

  • Comment removed

  • @errYuck I didn't know there was an ownership issue. I can only say I never heard a version of this before Hank Snow's and I was about 20 at the time.

  • @bodryn ...an "ownership issue" arose when you said "This song belongs to Hank" I guess. Now you know the song was written and recorded three years before Hank layed eyes on it .

  • @bodryn johnny cash sings it better :D

  • @jackerso8 My wife likes Hank Snow - they 're both Canadian. :-)

  • Goosebumps, no kiddin.

  • K, I'm watching this vid several times a day now. Brilliant rhythmic execution by Hank. Metronome accuracy, wonderful enunciation (which for some reason, really matters with this song), delightful pacing, rich & smooth voice. I'm hooked on Hank.

Thanks for posting, whodoyouthink8 ! You're excellent photos/edit really add a lot. Even some good humor splashed in the mix.

  • I have a friend that only eats Wonder bread. He has no idea some other brands are just as good or better. He won't even try them. He wouldn't like them if he did. "Mommy" must have feed him Wonder, so end-of-story. Kinda like when people "automatically" prefer Johnny Cash's version over Hank's. Hank didn't have a huge movie about his life recently, so his version can't be better, right?. Wrong. Try a little Hank Snow.

    De-lish! 5*s Great pics.

  • i wish it was faster

  • @ONRrailfan: If you want to hear a REALLY fast version, check out the 1973 cover by Asleep at the Wheel. :-)

  • @Milesco Wow! Thanks for clueing me into Asleep at the Wheel's version. It is probably the most souped up cover I've ever heard!

  • Wonderful!!! Great job. Thanks for the smile.

  • Chattanika does not exist, Hank is saying Chattanooga, as in Tennessee, so now you can replace the blank with a pic. Thanks for posting, its still the best version!

  • LOL!! i didnt even notice that the first time i watched the video - thats too funny :D

  • @JRNipper

Chatanika is an unincorporated community in Fairbanks North Star Borough, Alaska

  • to me this is the ONLY version thanks!

  • @Dogote82 agreed the real one

  • @Dogote82 agreed

  • @Dogote82 Correct.

  • I love it
