is it just card u have where the tubes go in the wire cage. i have done that but i think they mite escape is there another way i could attach the tubes?

@DeanoKip Yes it is cardboard. My gerbil never used to escape that's why i was so confident in keeping it there. At the moment i use mesh, just cut a square of it out, and cut a whole in the middle for the tube to go through :-)

Wow, thats amazing! How did you manage to cut that transport-box without it falling in part? The blue-lid one, not sure what it is in english, im from Finland.

I have 2 gerbils now, but they only have one glass-tank, and I've been thinking of a ways to expand it. Wish I could get those tubes somehow, but my local petshop doesnt have those.

I did indeed. Getting more gerbils after xmas, so there will be more videos of my gerbil cages. Im gonna go for Habitrail this time, not crittertrail and of course gerbilariums!. And i want it to be twice as big as when i had it :-)

i want to give my gerbils the tubes also but i know my gerbils and i'm pretty sure that they wil destroy the tubes so if anyone has the same problem i would like to know cause i want to give it to my gerbils but without the risk of losing them

@Kevin9250 If you have enough entertainment in the cage/ cages, i'm sure they won't chew the tubes. Mine used to chew the tubes from the inside, never made a hole though, they just picked all the ridges in it.

I got the tanks and wooden toys from a uk website, they still do the wooden toys, but the last time i checked they didn't do the tanks anymore, only the smaller versions.

My lil gerbil used to love his brother, follow him everywhere in his cage, do anything for him, so i didn't know how he was going to cope with out him. But when he was put down, i did let him sniff and lick his brother as he would know that he was dead. Instead of him keep looking for his brother and wondering where he is. So i think he knew he was gonna be by himself because his acting like a spoilt gerbil should! lol His gonna be 3 next month :-)

I have one gerbil, his brother passed away 7 months ago. His sleeping in the video, his in the cardboard box on the top right hand corner in the gerbilarium. ( 0.47 in the video)

how do you make a hole in plastic? help im having trouble trying to extend my gerbils' bin cage!

You can either drill a hole in (my dad did my rat tubes with it) or how i did my gerbil cages was saw it with a saw. Or burn it with something, like a stanley blade, and a cooker. What i learnt with mine was the burning one takes AGES, and its not perfectly straight, so the edges don't match up. Mine holds with scelotape and some glue lol. Stays together perfectly! Hope thats some help " )
