This song is from "Back To Front" and the line-up of that LP/CD was much of the original line-up including the two Sinclair cousins. Very good song. But Pye's songwriting got even better with the years!
I wish there would be a vid of one of my favorite songs from the Blind Dog at St. Dunstans album. It has a really silly title, "All The Way (With John Wayne's Single-Handed Liberation of Paris)and a gorgeous melody. And yes I've always loved Richard's work but I think Mike Wedgewood was no slouch either.
can anyone remember the title of the lp that came after land of grey and pink i think it has a track called lover on itand a chorus that goes ring them bells and sing
I have now gone through every live piece of Caravan material and no offence Pye, but every time you say thank you or thank you very much - it's so funny typically after playing such mad and long but fantastic tracks as For Richard, Grubby Little Oik etc, hehea, x.
For personal reasons and memories, Back to Front was my favourite Caravan album, wish they'd re release it

I agree totally! I'm an American and they have never gotten as popular there as I feel they should have. Great band (my fave from England!)

I love this track. Another DVD I no longer have and shouldn't have to pay for (I'm Dave's son). Cheers for uploading.

Love Richard Sinclair's voice! Shame that he and Pye fell out. Jim Leverton's OK but he'll never replace Richard.
