There is no such thing as a false conversion, it is either real or not. Christ cannot apply His Atonement and His promises and then un apply its effect; by what a man might do.This is the problem with those who believe you can lose salvation,as if Christ satisfied God but takes back His effect impossible.

@michaelwentfishing The Word of God on godly, pure-hearted women in Proverbs 31:30 "Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised." Even the apostle Paul praised the women of faith in the church in his letters. Galatians 3:27-28 says "For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus."

Paul wrote to the Philippian church Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind. (Ph 2:2). LivingFaith2, I'm most definitely not here to condemn you, but as God, by His Holy Spirit calls us to Come, lets reason together.(Isaiah 1:18) I cannot overlook Gods pattern of dealing with things in the Word of God. Gods nature/character are distinct and all His ways are just, halleluyah! I want God to have His way in our lives.

There are bad things that I may have stopped doing even when I was not saved and it may have helped me in some ways, but it didnt mean that I had the victory. I was still living in sin and unrighteousness! Victory in this life is only found at the Cross of Calvary! Victory is in the BLOOD OF JESUS and the POWER of the Holy Ghost alone to deliver and set free.

It was ONLY THE MERCY OF GOD through OUR LORD AND SAVIOUR JESUS CHRIST that Peter was reinstated at the end of Johns Gospel (notice, Jesus asked Peter the same question 3 times for each time Peter had denied the Saviour). Thank God!! Thats what Pastor Conlon meant about promises to God. The Holy Ghost is the only Person that keeps me from doing the things that are wrong and I wouldnt want to do because I know Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour.

In Mark 16:17, after Jesus rose from the dead, it reads But go your way, tell his disciples and Peter that he goeth before you into Galilee: there shall ye see him, as he said unto you. Peters denial had brought a curse and an oath upon himself and as far as Heaven was concerned he was no longer grouped as one of the disciples (take careful note of the phrasing of that passage).

We are still living in this body of death, which is being quickened everyday by the Holy Ghost! Paul even talked about this in Romans 7 - his cry for deliverance! 1 John 2:1-2 says it all! Praise God for Jesus Christ, our Advocate! Another example - Peter once denied Christ 3 times, having promised that he would lay down his life for Jesus sake (John 13:37-38).

I cant tell you how many things Ive done since being born-again that have hurt God that He still pardoned me and delivered me from because my faith rests SOLELY in the Jesus Christs death, burial and resurrection and His blood to wash away all my sins! Not my works and promises to be good, but by the power of the Holy Ghost!! I dont WANT to live in wilful sin, but even King David prayed that God should keep him from presumptuous sins (wilful) in Psalm 19:13.

Hold on, LivingFaith2, if that was the case, then tell us how the apostle Paul even got saved??? He was persecuting the church of the living God when Jesus Christ, in His Sovereign Grace, changed him!! Killing Christians for a living - as if that wasnt doing well!?! But thank God with all my heart for Gods MERCY! That Saul was changed by the Holy Ghost and saved by GRACE. I cant tell you how many mistakes Ive made since becoming a Christian (talk less about before I was a Christian)!

Paul never assured the believer that God would do it all FOR him: 1Ti 4:16 Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.

Act 2:38 REPENT, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

40 ...SAVE YOURSELVES from this untoward generation. 1Jn 5:21 Little children, KEEP YOURSELVES from idols.

Paul didn't assure sovereign grace to anyone who didnt continue to do well: Rom 2:6 God will render to every man ACCORDING TO HIS DEEDS: Eternal life to them who by patient CONTINUANCE IN WELL DOING seek for glory and honor and immortality, but unto them that are contentious, and DO NOT OBEY THE TRUTH, BUT OBEY UNRIGHTEOUSNESS: INDIGNATION AND WRATH, tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that DOES EVIL, but glory, honor, and peace, to every man that WORKS GOOD.

This leaven breaks my heart, coming from Carter Conlin, because I've often heard him speak only the truth. But this fulfills prophecy given by Paul in Acts 20: "Even of your own selves shall men arise, speaking PERVERSE THINGS to draw disciples away to themselves". Conlin has done the very thing he correctly exposes of others: he has set up an image of men and others run and commit adultery with it and fall away from God.

Calivinism is NOT a "prophetic word". This evil, repentance-denying doctrine causes people to believe they are not accountable, not responsible for their deeds, but rather that God will do all their repenting FOR them, and that they can continue in sin and not do anything about it. LET IT BE ACCURSED. "Don't make any promises to God; you can't keep them anyway" claims Conlin. He says there's no formula. But read Acts 2! "REPENT and be baptized in Jesus' name, and SAVE YOURSELVES from this world"
