"Revenge" was the last decent KISS album. "Psycho Circus" had some great tunes, sounded great but I didn't appreciate it being sold as having Ace and Peter involved when it was Tommy Thayer and Eric Singer except for a couple of songs. As a life-long KISS fan it was tough seeing others in Space Ace and Catman regalia. I kind of look at it now like the different guys playing Ronald McDonald. Gene and Paul own the franchise, Peter and Ace sold their shares long ago and pissed it all away. Oh well.

Whatever you gotta tell yourself man. KISS is great, but they are still capable of screwing up. I like Vinnie better than Ace and while that might sound blasphemous, it is only my opinion. Ace became frustrated when they went in the Elder musical direction and he musically stepped down from the band and only did promos. He then left KISS and there really wasn't any other option except a solo career. He wanted KISS just not the elder. KISS removed the makeup as a last ditch effort for press.

It is a logical progression from "War Machine" i think if creatures had been released instead of Elder they probably wouldnt have lost ace and wouldnt have had to remove the makeup.
