In the east coast beaches in the northeastern United States, you can't easily ride the Outlaw like that because it's often crowded. On the other hand, Pismo Beach is such a large beach, (even wider south of Pier Avenue entrance at Oceano) so no matter how many people there are, you can still easily ride the outlaw. That's why, in my opinion, west coast has better beaches than northeastern United States.

i own a polaris outlaw 500cc with irs my bro owns the 525cc with irs theres not much diffrence between the two bikes. im yet to come up against a banshee or raptor that can keep up the pace ..

I ride in england with a road legal outlaw 525! I ride with a raptor 700r and a kfx700 and the outlaw out accelerates both off the lights all bikes are stock you cant beat tarmac!!!!!!!

i rode the 525 outlaw. its too fast and i rode the yfz.the yfz is faster. i rode it my self and the raptor is heavy in the first gears but it still faster than the yfz and 525.

the raptor does not accelerate fast at all. it is geared higher for more top end.

even so the outlaw is still much faster.

The YFZ is faster than the rappy also bottom end wise. As far as an acceleration test goes, the oatlaw wins.

Actually, Due to the Independent rear suspension on the Outlaw 525, It STILL has better traction off the line, therefore it is still the fastest accelerating ATV. Sure the KTM 525xc will catch and beat it on the top-end. But the OUTLAW still holds the title!

Given the xc has razor 2s from the factory plus its much higher peak HP due to freer flowing exhaust and hella better air box, I think its still quicker. Would be a good race.

I was referring to the outlaw 500. I know that KTM makes the 525 engine, but I swear I saw that they were making an outlaw 500 last year. the outlaw 525 is badass, but it is a big lie. It is only 510 cc's. It is still one mean ass quad though.

It's not a lie. Even though it's only 510cc, KTM is a lot better at producing high performance engines. They call it a 525 because it sounds better than OUTLAW 510. Most companies do this, a RAPTOR 700 is only 686cc of displacement.
