@DRAT311 This is the original version from her first EP 'Lovesoup' The version you have, is the revamped one for the debut album of the same title, 'Drive'

I do she what you mean with the differences. This version is a little more raw, in the way, it contrasts with the more flowing, polished sound that the album version has, which sounds funny, given they're both acoustic tracks. Granted she was still young at this age, it stands as a testament to her growth as an artist.

I fell in love with this song when a girl sung it for NZ idol had to find it and have loved it ever since! Man we have some great talent in NZ and yes there is something special about our singer song writers!! Their music is filled with compassion! Love my country big ups to NZ check out Brooke Frasier's song Albertine and Maisey Rika's song Romania they are to other great NZ singers with music that touches the soul!!! Love it!

I see. What I can confirm is that 'Drive' was written and composed backstage before one of Bic's live performances in the early stages of her career. Perhaps Chris was backstage with her?

I'll have to ask him when I see him next. Just as an aside, I was helping him edit his autobiography, and the line appeared only once and made sense to the situation but wasn't in relation to this beautiful song, certainly giving me no reason to believe he'd made this up, as the timing was off by a number of years.
