I did the same thing back in 1987 on a 1986 GSXR 1150. Highway 95 in Florida, USA.

Top speed was 155 mph but bike would not red line in top gear. Did this for about 15 minutes. Saw a cop drive over an overpass with is blue lights on so I decided to get off at the next exit.

Was going to put a taller gear on rear but never got around to it.

No video of the event. Things come at you pretty fast at those speeds.
