I grew up in Southern British colonial Nigeria, in our family home that had what was known at that time as readifusion / reddifussion (whtevr that meant) This one station radio (BBC broadcasts) would play Classics, cellos, chamber music, all local music & news all day. Twas part of growing up in the late 50s/70s. Thanks Brits for making me who I am ’cos I appreciate this music even more now. Strings depend on the cello, and the type of player you are... What sounds super on one cello sounds terrible on another... it is a matter of trial and error (and an expensive trial at that!)
What a bad taste of using the carbon cello to play Bach...

what strings do you suggest for a regular wooden cello? im thinking about getting different ones.

@josephinevanlier i feel limited as to my commitment to cello involving money :/ i wish i had more of it. what can i do to cope with that?
