What a bad taste of using the carbon cello to play Bach...

I grew up in Southern British colonial Nigeria, in our family home that had what was known at that time as readifusion / reddifussion (whtevr that meant) This one station radio (BBC broadcasts) would play Classics, cellos, chamber music, all local music & news all day. Twas part of growing up in the late 50s/70s. Thanks Brits for making me who I am ’cos I appreciate this music even more now. Thank you josephinevanlier for taking me home & reminding me of those good times!

what strings do you suggest for a regular wooden cello? im thinking about getting different ones.

Strings depend on the cello, and the type of player you are... What sounds super on one cello sounds terrible on another... it is a matter of trial and error (and an expensive trial at that!)

@josephinevanlier i feel limited as to my commitment to cello involving money :/ i wish i had more of it. what can i do to cope with that?
