  • People still buy this crap?

Oh the engine is a Toyota 4.0.

  • Opps maybe not a jeep idk I clicked the wrong video

  • The spacer in the video is on right it looks like its on wrong because its a jeep an it has a straight six which is an inline block not a vblock

  • i worked for a exhaust/intake shop. these spacers were purchased by many a people and installed... we used our in house dyno and there was no change to performance. after fuel economy testing and just driver feedback there is no change at all using these helix and vortex spacers. there was alot of complaints though over the high pitch whistling. it is just all placebo effect and mass "opinions". the vortex is not sustained into the cylinder through all the bends and blocks. its all just hot air.

  • Another good things the TBI Spacer does is keep your throttle body cool. this technique of spaceing is used in drag races to keep the incoming air cooler (Futher away from the engine). This allows it to atomize more with the fuel getting a better fuel/air ratio. It will help with your response if anything.

  • The reason why opinions are so split on this is because you have to install them in the right place. You MUST put them in-between the intake manifold and throttle body. If you put it between the air filter/hose and the throttle body, it is literally doing nothing for you, it's basically extending the hose. The whole point is to increase the volume of air your car puts inside the engine, so you want it to have a bigger "mouth" to hold the air before it "swallows" it.

  • wait so more noise equals hp all of a sudden?it doesn't restrict/ allow any more air flow, therefor it doesn't really do anything but whistle...

  • @markgumb NO...... A throttle body space allows more time for the air to become atomized with the fuel allowing a better airfuel mixture and also allows the air to gain more speed

  • @Tadfoot100 Not on a multi point fuel injected car it doesn't. The spacer on this is doing nothing, especially as it looks like its been bolted on the wrong side of the throttle body as well.

  • i gained 63hp and now saving 14mpg this is an amazing product! lol jk i dnt know im going to buy one but ppl say its worthless some recommend it i dnt know man i dnt know what to dooo

  • @silverdiaz7 Put your money to real use. Dont be a ricer. 1991 22re LC Engineering.

  • I'm sure gains would only be noticable on cars with 6 cylinders and higher. The higher the cylinder count the more noticable the gain.

  • TBS's do not add any power. In fact, several studies were done and found that to have any noticeable gain in HP, one must build a TBS to over 1 meter long and approx. 9" in diameter.

The effects people notice are simply a placebo effect.

  • @historymaker121 If you are referring to HP or FT LBS. then yes. But i bbought mine for one reason only. I wanted better throtle response. It works great. I have never seen any mpg difference at all.

  • I dont know bout every vehicle but i averaged my dodge ram with the airaid throttle body spacer and airaid intake and got about 4-5 mpg difference with the two vs. stock

  • did it actually make a power difference?

  • The fuel economy gain is evident! 4/5 people gain MPG and power.

  • IT does add more HP but it isnt enough to notice a change..

  • MA BAD I MEANT WHISTLE

  • i love that hissing noise from the spacer

  • what does a spacer do though thats the big question someone plz

  • It atomizes the fuel better, allowing for more power, torque, and fuel efficiency. Depending on the bore you get, you can adjust for more fuel efficiency in low RPM ranges, more torque in high RPM ranges, or all around balance during idle and full RPM range. Most people opt for the smooth-bore spacers because they provide the all around balance.

  • mostly nothing much at all, but they sound cool lol

  • i have a throttle body spacer on my truck, and it gives no extra power, only a whistlin sound. if i could go back i'd have never put it on.

  • @dawacker4992 yea but how abt fuel economy? U get a little more per tank with it? I put one on my car and so far my gas gauge has been going down slower, and its not just my mind either my odometer and instant fuel economy display say the same thing.

  • its the intake making the turbo sound

  • its his intake making the turbo sound

  • Is that throttle body spacer making that turbo sound?

  • fake turbo sound LOL!!!

  • Morons. "Mine added 22hp", more like lying morons. No dyno sheet = lies. So STFU and go play with your penis. You'll get more hp out of that than you will that hunk of worthless metal.

  • what do i need to install a new throttle body just that piece or i have to buy some things also.

  • mine added 22 hp on my 89 chevy truck thing flys now.

  • how do u know?

  • dynoed it at my dads shop. before and after, although i did put fuel injection cleaner in it also so that helped on the HP as well.

  • what car do u have?

  • 89 chevy pickup

  • ohhh does it whistle

  • not as much with the stock k&n air intake when i put the edelbrock 14in. air assembly on it pulled more air in and was louder.

  • ohhh nice have u raced??

  • yep I have on my accord

  • I'm puttin my throttle body spacer onto my new throttle body this weekend. Throttle body spacers add like 3-10 hp depending on the type of vehicle.

  • did it make a diffrence in performance?

  • so they dont make a diff?

  • What's a spacer? It's a whistling $80 paperweight

  • yup gives performance..

  • wats a spacer

  • u dont know dumass

  • thats why im asking u pussy

  • fuck u

  • LMAO! This is one of the funniest comments i have ever seen. LOL
