I am 21 and i live in Greece and I am very happy that i hear younger people respect and adore music written back in the godly seventies and eighties... here in Greece we have trash music and most of teenagers listen to RNB shit , metalcore and nu-metal....all these are shit... Thin Lizzy are real music , Supertramp , Pink Floyd , Galagher , Deep Purple , Led Zepellin all these bands are part of history , then heavy metal came and it was awesome too...but metalcore...WHAT THE F**K IS METALCORE??
I myself am 21 and know just what u mean....... really, it's the exact same way over here in America, I love metal myself, but all the bands that u just named are all great, there's no denying that.......And Thin Lizzy is one of my favorite bands! They so good! But there is such thing as good metalcore, but it's practically rare to find.......
I am 22 and I live in Serbia and I am very happy to hear that somewhere in Greece there are people who love good music. :-)
I adore Greece, I adore Greek people, I love Greek music too (traditional Greek music) but there are A LOT of trash songs. Thousands of them. As stupid as Serbian songs.
For change, I would love so much when I come in Greece to find a big, loud, dirty rock'n'roll club (or pub or anything) instead of shiny, expensive cafes with Xatzigianis and Remos on menu.
Friend Ricape... I know just what you are talking about... there are many good pubs and bars in Greece but you have to know where to look... next time you are around Athens search for psiri...It's a paradise :)
I have never been in Athens unfortunately... Of course that there are good places in Greece... :-)
I visit Greece once a year and I usually visit small touristic places in Makedonia such as places in Kassandra, Sithonia, Thassos etc, etc (because me and my friends are always in financial deficit and can't afford better places :-)) and I was talking about that kind of towns (villages) and music choice in them... :-)
I adore Greece anyway and even trying to speak Greek.. :-D
METALCORE or NU-METAL as we refer to it in my reigon is trite shit if these bands were anymore up themselves they 'd be inverted,as with most recent music it is just an exercise in marketing.Have no fear you have chosen the richous path this band & many others of thier time had a true calling.Keep the faith & LIVE ON!!
Phil Lynott - one of the only men ever to successfully rock the moustache. Thin Lizzy - great band, more of it's catalogue should have airplay than it does
yeah i'm 15 and i feel the same. take deep purple. great band from the 70's. and then take bullet for my valentine. hahaha. IT'S CRAP ! 70's rock !!!!!!!!
Good for you. But NOBODY should go and see the "new" Thin Lizzy. What a fucking joke - touring without Phil Lynott and Brian Downey - both were the heart and soul of Lizzy. Pathetic.
REST IN PEACE PHILIP LYNOTT. I met Phil a few times, and I know Brian "Robbo" Robertson...Saw the band live twice. Once at Reading Festival in 77 or 78 and at Hammersmith Odeon in early 80's with Gary Moore replacing Robbo. Two of the greatest gigs I ever saw, (and I saw Zeppelin at Earls Court in 75 and Black Sabbath at Hammersmith Odeon in 76}! THIN LIZZY...The greatest hard rock band OF ALL TIME!!!
Brian Downey one the most underated drummers! fantastic playing by him on this....Phil wish u were still with us, and rock on scott hope to catch u on tour in 07.
One of my secret passions. I know Lizzy word by word. Bad Reputation is a wonderful mixed album.Hear the precision bass roaring so round. It almost sounds like a Rickenbacker. I saw them in the Netherlands right after the Chinatown release.
If you're interested, I have an MP3 of this song. Not sure if it's a Peel Session, or a BBC recording... but you should hear the absolute RAWNESS of the bass, guitars, everything. Gives me chills everytime I listen to it! Peace & Rock On... \m/
My age doesn't matter. My whereabouts don't matter. What matters is this is an amazing song.

To the comment below, I agree, Brian Downey is a great drummer. When the guitars hold those power chords it is his drum that keeps the song moving.
Check out our band LANDSHARK doing Lizzy's Cowboy Song. Our drummer powers through it nicely. Thanks.
