Sorry to break it to you but the Big Ad was done with CGI. Yes they had people, like in this ad, but the large shots used CGI with some software called Massive. Head to the Animal Logic website to see how.

This is a cool looking ad, but no way does it even come close to the Carlton Draught one. The only other beer commercial I've seen that I think is anywhere near as clever (though still not as good, I don't think) is the Melbourne Symphony doing the VB theme with nothing but stubbies.

And for the record, this American likes to drink CD and VB a whole lot better than Budweiser, too!
