Not bad, but to really give yourself the best chance you need the top of the line gold detector. Most of the guys here use minelab detectors which are classed as the best in the world................ they Cost around 10 thousand dollars each !

The best place to find gold in NJ/PA is a jewelry store.

There's probably a bit to be found in Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont.

To have a realistic chance of finding gold with a detector, you need to go to the western US, or British Columbia.

i belive you can find gold {has been} at Blue Mountain Pa.{not blue mountain lake..NJ} i did find a ruby once in Flat brook creek ,Stokes State Forest. I didn't know it was a ruby at time & just flipped it back in creek,when i described it to someone they said "yep,sure you find rubies here in NJ." it was as big as the tip of my little finger
