@femalephantomdimes5 Actually the Disney version and this version are using the music by Tchaikovsky written in 1890 for a ballet adaptation of Sleeping Beauty. Search for the ballet performance here on YouTube and you'll hear the same music!

the fairies don't even have wings or magic wands! WHAT IS UP WITH THAT? LOL and the evil fairy in this is not even scary! In the Disney version, Maleficent has the BEST costume for an evil fairy, ( she is my favorite villain) NOW THAT IS HOW YOU DO A VILLAIN!.

@mellisa1230 Actually, the Disney movie had used the score from the Tchaikovsky ballet. Using the music from the ballet is a common practice in Sleeping Beauty adaptations.

The Disney version of Sleeping Beauty came out in 1959. This one is from the 80's so they apparently borrowed the music from the animated movie.

So someone pointed out that the song playing is from the Disney version of Sleeping Beauty. It is not. The music was written by Tchiovsky for the ballet "Sleeping Beauty". Disney just put lyrics to it.
