Seriously, why did the designers change the styling to look softer than the concept II? It makes no sense at all. Concept II was an absolute killer! You would attract more potential buyers for this car if it looked very similar to the concept II. Those front LED's, aggressive grill and those sharp rear lights do it justice. It will be one of the greatest affordable sports cars to buy, but simply it does not have the best of both worlds. If only the designers could change this.

I like Toyota Sport´s cars... I myself got two, a GT-Four and a ST185, but I think the Alfa Romeo 4C will have much more sales than the Toyota/Subaru/Scion.

The Alfa has more horse-power and is prettier (my opinion)... I would have the Alfa over this one without a doubt.

I absolutely knew it. When the first concept was revealed I said "when this makes it to production it will be a cheap gutless watered down version of this concept." I was right again. It's not bad looking, but it's almost identical to the BRZ. And 197hp? Truly tire scorching. No wonder they said this isn't a Supra successor. It would be an insult to a legend. Hell my Cobalt SuperSlow would probably leave this in the dust. Pathetic.

People may shout about turbo, but this car must be an N/A as it is the successor of AE86. It looks poised. Low COG, compact, FR layout, should be a balanced car and hopefully it's fun to drive...

Don't confuse this car with the Supra or the Celica. It's actually the re-invetion of the old Toyota AE86 Trueno/Levin, which actually belongs to the Corolla line. So in all fairness this is the old FR Trueno ("Corolla"), the car that started the whole drifting scene.

So the concept is not that of a Celica (rally) or the Supra (muscle), it's about balance, just like the old Trueno. So don't call this car something it's not. I mean it's even named after it's predecessor, the "AE86".

What the hell is it with today's car manufacturers... They build an AWESOME looking concept that nearly everyone likes and everyone agree that it should go into production... And then they decide to turn it into a car that gives you the "meh" impression instead of the previous AWESOME. It still looks good, but not as good as the first two concepts.

@ordi75 That's how every concept turns out. They build one or two concept cars with utmost precision making it look as exotic as possible. The main reason for this is to catch people's attention. You gotta put together the price range, power and looks. They said early on that it would have no more than 200hp. Which means it's probably gonna be around $20k. They would never mass-produce a car with that much precision put into it, unless it was a super car. That said, the car still looks good.

@ruunit Got to admit that I agree... They never pay much attention to detail when producing say a family car nowadays. I don't know if you've seen the show Megafactories, they showed how American car companies built ordinary cars. It was all basically 'slapped together".

The Supra didn't cost that much back in the days though and it was the "best bang for the buck" along with the R34, much like the R35 is today compared to other super cars. It can outrun nearly all cars available today.

@ordi75 Actually the Supra was overpriced. It costed 60,000 dollars and appealed to a smaller audience. Not a smart move in a business perspective. That's why they ended it in 1998. They're bringing it back as a super car, like the GT-R. If you want to talk bang for your buck, you gotta go all the way back to the AE 86. the AE 86 was THE bang for your buck. It was affordable AND satisfied driver enthusiasts. And this car is based on it. Toyota has brought RWD back. And THAT'S what matters.
