These lions are smaller than their African cousins, and their prides consists typically a couple of lionesses, possibly with some more cubs. The lions don't constantly live close to the females. They are not the king of beasts, not even the African ones, nor the largest Barbary ones, now extinct. These lions live far away from tigers in India, real king of beasts. With such small prides, they are unable to compete with much stronger tigers. The narrator lacked in-depth knowledge.
hey i loved this video of india the most, amazing and great work, i love this villagers they are vegeterians man :))))) someday or after couple of years after, planning and willing to be one as i need to build some muscle n mass for n am young
i love n respect vegeterians more than stupid corrupted spoiled rich people who finds pleasure in killing exotic animals
@dravidianwolf LOL bulllshiiiit hahaha buh the facts remains the same, they stiill marry fukin real dogs n fucks them in public. shiittss fukin nasty ass fukkk HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
@dravidianwolf that doesnt mean shit, cuz ppl aint got no reputation. Marrying n fukin real fukin dogs. LOOOOOOOOL HAHAHAHA n a man fukin a real dog in the flag instead of that buddhist dharma chakra looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooool
@MrStrongmanpremanand and india also known to have people who marry dogs and all those wild animals too. I prefer countries like Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal since they are more developed caz India is way more corrupted!
There would be many wealthy magnates, especially the Sheikhs in the Gulf States that should keep these rare lions for tourism and for status. I hope India continues this great work, and perhaps invite the immensely rich to participate in the conservation and breeding program by owning these animals on their private game reserves (not for hunting). These animals are the true symbols of status. So much so they are seen on ancient Persian and Assyrian palace walls (check on google images)
india needs the 1 baby rule, seriously you can't fit a billion people in a small ass country like that, its not possible, thats why you see people living in slums
The attitude?: the land BELONGs to us, not savage animals. A few biologists, for close to half a century, tried to bring back just A FEW WOLVES to their former territory in Yellowstone. Even with strict law, up to $100K fube, most of the early few wolves brought back were shot dead within a year of their re-introduction! And you have Hollywood types casting poorer Natives around the world as ignorant, needing American & European celebrities to help them preserve animals & and habitats? LOL
In India, where the local people are very impoverished? That's even more amazing.
Compare/contrast that with the Europeans & Americans, whose territories also HAD majestic animals, large & small... but they were practically wiped out around the 1800s. Just three examples from America: the wolf, the bison, & the passenger pigeon --- in the tens of thousands (wolves) to tens of millions (bisons) to a billion (passenger pigeon) almost all completely wiped out by Americans by the early 1900s.
Wow, 'tis truly one of the first truly "conservation"-oriented programs by hono sapiens I've ever come across: and that is that, "Yes, we, homo sapiens have taken almost all of other creatures habitats, so we will (even at a cost to local people) preserve small patches of land, create water holes -- truck in water whenever necessary --- for the TRUE wild residents of the forest, who've been man's victims for too long... forbidding domesticated animals from using such scarce resources."
they are now 411 lions in GIR today....they are increasing by 5-7% rate each year..soon they will need more land than ever and they are protected by people and government and also royal family....they will reach 1000+ before 2020.
I love my India, Gir Lion and Bengal tigers. Thank you so much. I visited Gir forset 20 years ago and facilities has changed a lot when I visit India again I will make an effort to visit them. I was teaching my 8 years old son about endangered species and I came across this. Beautiful.
this is our european lion. the real lion. the evil civilization took this beast out of our hearts i wish that the time comes when the european lion roams our forests once more
