Not quite. FC's are just Land Rovers with a cabover truck body. Same axles, same gear train as a 105 or 88, and none of the cool trick gear the Unimogs have.

@godzillaisnuclea123 No. The 101 FC was made as an air portable artillery tractor at a time when HMG, and especially the army, though interestingly not MoD(PE), didn't trust coil springs. So it's a Range Rover running gear in a series Landy chasis. The MOG is much tougher and has much more sophisticated and tougher drivetrain. It's also a heck of a lot heavier and vastly more complex and expensive to maintain or fix. A Pinz is competition for low end MOGs, MoD eventually bought both.

I have 2 unimogs..bought a 406 pickup and completely restored it frame off..perfect...also have a one of a kind Mog that was built to promote a German Mog company...looks like a giant SUV..don't really need 2 Mogs...love them both but can't drive 2 at once.

Hummers H2's suck, a 5cyl on it's hummer test track with trained driver on that course show what amazing "Ability" they have but out them in real world trails, my '03 Libby would turn it out, now my '08 TR Libby will leave it begging to to just keep up, and their width is their major downfall. Hummers suck!
