So glad to have seen this wonderful film on the big screen back in '03. Hard to choose a particular scene I enjoy more than any other, but this one and the random events scene during Gaye's "Ain't That Peculiar" really etched into my psyche. Simply a fascinating movie that gets better w/ each viewing.
His honesty and straightforwardness made his work a hundred times better than any of that superhero crap. I can honestly say that reading American Splendor changed the way I look at life.
I bought and purchased Jenny Gerhart right after watching this film. It's such a moving novel. It became one of my favorites. I completely understood Pekar's loneliness.
A great little snippet from a great movie. Harvey Pekar was really something special. Life can be tough, but the way Pekar stuck at it for year after year is an inspiration. He made a difference. RIP.

This is the feeling of Fall in Cleveland, Ohio for a young single man. Just keep on working and somethings bound to turn up. :\

Wow...now this scene almost makes me cry. Rest in Peace, Harvey. I think maybe you wanted the time off.
