  • the beauty of logic !

  • I'm a Chinese and I haven't had a single science teacher that do no believe in evolution.

  • @Athrun000 well its good to know that schools in China aren't biased towards religions but are rather on the side of science, unlike in the USA.

  • Um, Mr. Dawkins. If magic carpets aren't real..please explain Aladin. You can't, therefore evidence that God is real. Praise Krishna! (Yes, this is a joke :/)

  • Thumbs up if you tried the pin trick when you saw it on here <.<

  • the elite does not want smrth people. those who are for status quo. evil bastards

  • That science teacher (Rachel Hughes) is a cutie-pop.

  • but you cant dictate what someone believes its what they believe you dont know what they believe only they do, so let each to their own perception but give them options!

  • SCIENCE DID THIS SCIENCE DID THAT. THIS IS THE BIGGEST BULLSHIT EVER TOLD ITS A SCAM.

  • @Frank289100 burn with fire, troll.

  • @schnajp96 Before GOD instructed man in the old testament to be stoned to death for adultery what were your Atheist Lawless animals doing. They were burning women in a pit alive. Burn with fire, toll < This is the true nature of your Atheist beast.

  • @Frank289100 You mean the jews are the ones who are right? since you mentioned the old testament.. The jews considered the christians to be atheists. The romans considered the christians to be atheists.

the catholics burned witches.. id say thats the true nature of religion. Alot of hatred instead of understanding and love.

    Conclusion: Atheism rules!

  • @biorn1973 If Atheism rules then go make a PORNO with you and your friends gang banging your sister. You can make millions.

  • @Frank289100 Wow, is that the christian way to respond?

Dare i remind you of this? Gen. 19:31-35- you do know what that is do you? Where Lot have sex with his daughters..

Open your mind and stop the hate. When you get to the pearlygates, you wont be able to enter if you live with a pottymouth like that. Just saying.

  • @biorn1973Get your mind out of the gutter LOT's daughters devised the plan to get him drunk and have sex with him got him. This only happened because of alcohol the bible warns against drinking.

  • @Frank289100 So.. you shouldnt drink alcohol?.. Alcohol like.. i dont know.. wine?

The wine that Jesus himself created from water. I guess Jesus liked to drink..

Im an atheist, and if im wrong then maybe god punishes me when i die. I´ll take that chance. Im just a little offended that you and your kind have to be so mean to ppl who doesnt share your faith. And i have to say- if your faith compelles you to tell people you dont know, to go and gangbang their sister. Then sir, you have a problem.

  • @biorn1973 The bible tells you beware of strong drink.

  • @Frank289100 "then go make a PORNO with you and your friends gang banging your sister."

What does this have to do with Atheism, exactly?

  • @SeedsOfHatred You can't figure it out. Boy are you on cloud 9.

  • @Frank289100 You want to argue morality as an only christian value! As for your example: logically speaking if she does it without being coerced or harmed, that wouldn't be immoral! However i would be against it as promiscuity can be harmful to said person, and as my personal bias, as i would like my sister to try to find a stable partner! If my belief is mirrored by other people of the society i live in, it becomes a moral value! This is how it has been done throught the centuries!

  • @EBTcraft15 The ethics and Morals you have were brought down through the centuries by your ancestors who believed in GOD. This bullshit Atheist platform has come about only in the past 30 years.

  • @Frank289100 "The ethics and Morals you have were brought down through the centuries by your ancestors who believed in GOD" and look where it got to: genocide, manipulation, make believe reality, stifling scientific progress! A few hundread years ago if you found that nature actually contradicts the Bible (the heliocentric theory for example) and tried to correct that you were considered an immoral heathen!

  • @EBTcraft15 So if corrupt cops use a police department to manifest there corruption that means the whole structure of having law enforcement is no good.

  • @Frank289100 Again, I'll ask you to explain yourself.

Ultimately, however, I already know that making an incestual porno and Atheism have absolutely nothing to do with one another. The only reason I ask is because I want to hear your deluded explanation for why you think they do.

  • @SeedsOfHatred With atheism anything goes. Basically there is no code of ethics other then the ones carried down through the ages by your religious ancestors. In a man's life when one removes GOD chaos eventually sets in where ethics and morals of things become meaningless.

  • @Frank289100 Wow. Your parents or you minister really have messed your reality up son.. Being atheist means - I Choose Not to Believe In The Abrahamic God.

It doesnt mean- I Believe In Nothing And Rape Anything I See And Hate The World.

You really wanna bring up ethics? Have you any idea what lets say the catholic church has been up to for 1900 years? Talk about no morals. Murder, torture, rape. And the rape still continues. Is that a moral i wanna stand behind? Nope. Neither should you.

  • @Frank289100 And that is the deluded explanation I was looking for.

Do tell me; why then, have I not raped my sister? Why have I not murdered anyone? Why have the atheists I know not done any of these things?

People are perfectly capable of being moral without your God to tell them to do so. And if they're not, then that really says something about what kind of person they were to begin with.

  • @Frank289100 oh yeah, i almost forgot- The catholic church have made millions, and they do have sex with boys. Not all, but still to many for my taste. So i guess there is money in porno.

  • @biorn1973 As for the Catholic priests who raped those children they were all HOMOSEXUALS. Years back mother and father expected the man to get married and have children and to carry on the family name. Since the Catholic church doesn't allow marriage your HOMOSEXUALS in order to avoid marriage used the church as a venue to escape marriage. Over the years HOMOSEXUAL men infested the walls of the Catholic church and used church walls for there perverted lifestyle. Church was innocent.

  • @Frank289100 ....where have you been for the last 20 years? The church knew about the rapes. They chose to ignore it. The man they now call pope, had as a part of his last job, to hide the accusations. This is all out there. Not even the church denies it. So to conclude: in a weird way, catholisism accepts homosexuals as long as they are preists, and the church accept the raping och children.

You can blame the HOMOSEXUALS (why capitals?) how much you want. the lame is on the church.

  • @biorn1973 How could they stop it. They were Queers themselves. Queers raped those kids.

  • whoa, where'd the octopus go?

  • I understand the science teachers ... They present the facts and what the students do with it is their business... Not everybody wants to fight wars, and if you start to hammer on the fact that religion is wrong you are starting a (small) war... I guess common sense still has to "evolve" in most people ;) ...

So pay attention in science class kids... (except if your teacher believes the world is less than 10.000 years old lol) ;)

  • @scienide77 How is that starting a small war? Unless you mean debate

  • @Oldcartoons571 If you can call that debating ... Debate religion and things get heated ...

  • what is the song in the begining?

  • Richard Dawkins is the living paragon of reason and critical thought I wish all humans would look up to. He isn't perfect, never even claims to be, but always seeks the truth. Rejoice when you are proven wrong, for now you won't spread falsehood.

  • @samuelphillippi Well said.

  • 9:24 lol I love the song played there. So happy and joyful.

  • I'm now very grateful that I was born and live in Sweden ...

  • @swegirl09 jag älskar att hitta andra svenskar på youtube

  • @billyfer97 hahaha jag med!

  • I studied in a catholic school and they taught us the Evolution without the creation, though we have a different religious curriculum and I just hate. I'm just shock that this so called science teachers deliberately teach creationism in Science.

  • 2.45 "built in, that can be explained ONLY by how natural selection works".

These arbitrary conclusive leaps just goes on and on... this so called "science" has nothing in common with fields like theoretical physics or engineering which must obey the laws of mathematics. It´s all based on unquestionable loyalty to the new god "science". "This is true, because we are athorities and say it´s true. What if I´m wrong? Well, I´m not wrong! This is science my friend, and I like it."

  • 1.27 "The eye has evolved.. etc" Has? Uhm... no it doesn´t because of you saying or thinking it has. What you are communicating is: that is your idea of it, how interesting it might be.

Yet another example of arbitrary leaps..."please leave your critical thinking at home, and believe what I tell you".

  • @baskethilt then what is your explanation for the eye?

  • @toverkleet A creation, according to the vedic scriptures, which happens to not contradict science concerning the age of the planet earth.

    wikipedia Hindu_cosmology

Is there really a third alternative, except macro evolution and creation?

  • multiculturalism is dead

  • I'm proud to say evolution was taught in the school I attended, but yet I was already aware of it before hand. Also, while watching these documentaries, sometimes I just want to give Dawkins a big hug :)

  • shame on those teachers. Grow a pair.

  • They're science teachers that TEACH SCIENCE...yet they're passive about it bcuz of the students viewpoints...they should not b pansys about it, that is what the class is about n they shouldnt be afraid of what they're teaching!

  • hey, i believe there is a place for magic in people minds :))) , it's called imagination, but again i agree with you, just because i imagine a unicorn in my boring religion class from school (i am force by my stupit country to take religion class from first year of school to the end of high school) doesn't mean the unicorns really exist :)))

  • I loled so hard when he said that "gravity is a fact. anyone who disagrees can jump out of a window"

  • And thanks to the person that made this unofficial channel. Makes finding dawkins videos alot easier. hazzar to the shop keep!!

  • religious people!! it can all be summed up in one word...reason! thats the one thing they lack.

  • hitchens is good at debate, but i dont really care too much too hear him, dawkins on the other hand is a very interesting individual

  • They have a genius solution in my country. You can learn Biology, but evolutionary Biology is optional.

  • @17thSHIT Wow, that a rather crap solution! It's like offering chemistry teachings but leaving the periodic table as optional. Or teaching history but keeping the world wars as optional.

  • love the guy explaining the blind spot bit. veeeery pleasant! :)

  • Why Richard Dawkins says he believes all the time? Is he a believer? Fake atheist. :D

  • Evolutiontheory is a religion and all religions are wrong. And that's a fact. No bullshit.

  • @ButcherWing It is not a religion, because it does not require faith. It needs understanding and evidence, which is provided. That is not faith.

  • @17thSHIT R.D. says many times that he belief evolutuintheory and belife/fait/religion system is same. Science says theory=religion/faith/belief/-system. And that's a fact. 1+1=2 / I+I=II.

  • @ButcherWing You completely do not understand. It is not a religion, because you "believe" in it through means of evidence. Not through means of a holy book or someone speaking bullshit, but because of pure evidence showing it is true. This does make it a faith, nor religion, because it require no faith - it just requires that you look at the evidence to know that it is correct and true. If you cannot understand this, then you must be blinded by a delusional way of thinking.

  • @17thSHIT There's no evidence of "missing link". It's just a story, fantasy, idea etc. And that just tell that evolutiontheory is a religion/faith/belife -system and it's wrong like all religions/faith/beliefe -systems are.

  • @ButcherWing We have found ancestors of everything from the white shark to the common house cat. Why should we believe that we're an exception from this rule?

  • It wasn't that hard 4 me to shake of my catholic upbringing and I wasn't even looking to change it. I took a few courses in university in religious studies and found out that the bible was written hundreds of years after the death of Jesus, etc, etc. I was young, shook my head and wondered "what?" and I started to look at things differently but I still have 2 be careful what I say, attitudes haven't changed much over 20 years. I guess education does change some people but u have 2b open minded

  • @2661960 You are the exception, not the rule. For most people brought up with strong religious beliefs it is impossible to deny their higher power because it is too late. By the time they reach adulthood, the damage has been done. That is why Atheists are such a small group. I am part of those lucky few.

  • That's why they're both wearing eyeglasses...to correct what Gawd didn't get right. o.O

  • Incompetent cowards! This is not about identity, it's science class. They've looked into the microscope and seen that the color is green. That's what you're paid to explain and test your students. If they've been brought up to think that it's purple, let them look into the microscope. Stop rationalizing yourself and your country into retardation! It's already fucked as it is, you indoctrinated cowards!

  • @bsgrep I feel the same way but i bet those teachers are bent over a barrel and can't do anything to upset the precious religious beliefs of their ignorant students or they'll be up on a disciplinary.

Teachers have been losing their ability to discipline kids and have to deal with a general lowering of academic standards for a while, it must be terrible to be a teacher in England. (Some countries are probably worse though)

  • Heppines is in the truth, becouse truth liberate people. I wish there is a god...I mean... most of people are unhappy...and it would be beautiful to have beter life in heaven and everything... but Im not so sure about that.

I dont want to belive becouse I have no choice... becouse Im weak, and no one should!

    - I wish that Mr.Dawkins have more dialogs with Muslim people, becouse Koran sed everithing about embrio and lot of things. How is possible to have that knowledge before 1400 years?

  • @TheDysmo There is nothing in the Qu'ran that wasn't already know at the time and much of that is wrong, including embryology. (Please don't ask me to explain. There are many websites that have de-bunked pretty much every false claim in the Qu'ran and the other holy books, and I do already know about Zakir before you refer me to him.) You are perhaps right to say 'Happiness is in the truth' although there is an argument in saying 'Ignorance is bliss'.Depends on how strong a person you are really

  • Man,Dawkins is such a prick! I fucking love him to death!

  • @wr3forthefail Dawkins can be a prick (a wonderful prick) when it's necessary, but he's also one of the most patient, respectful people I've ever heard of when it's not.

  • @wr3forthefail Are you serious? You must be American! To me he seems like a respectful and mild mannered person who avoids being confrontational and aggressive.

  • @PhilJRose Why would you assume that he's American?

And I hope you realize that he's probably joking.

  • We now know that they eye didn't evolve as many times as he mentions. We now know the eye, has evolved once. watch "What Darwin didn't know" "What Darwin never knew"

But I'm sure Dawkins now knows this and would gladly accept being corrected.

  • Thank Mr. Dawkins for all your work! I hope this inspires more people to fight for reason and critical thinking vs made up stories that make someone feel good so others can make lots of money. From Peru.

  • @eldave4048 Bien dicho!

  • It most certainly, in my opinion, to teach the difference between evidence and opinion.

  • i got out of high school 2 yrs ago and i don't think we ever covered evolution in science classes *skip it* hmph

  • Richard was tough on the teachers. If they push the issue they will have to find another way to be scientists because they'll get fired. I completely agree with him as does the teachers, but evidence does not trump emotion in the human mind. These folks need to put food on the table....

  • @sngcoach the quote is from richard dawkins and stephen hawking video at 0:52 hawking himself says it to the dawkins but he still ignores his own words

but the quote is important because its not hawkings idea. it defines a reality (the small probability of existance of earth)

    watch?v=CMJFfaKZXRs

  • @esraretin they mention big bang's first nano second moments as out of physics.a point with infinite density an explosition which is out of physics and everything occured.and science says it like wht it says about evolution people still dont give god a chance.wht is this? a joke?

  • @sngcoach i believe in evolution hahah but theres more than evolution i dont believe dawkins evolution he almost tells evolution proves godless universe

  • @sngcoach Then respond to the thought expiriment. Tell me what chance has to do with the fact that only balls that are thrown north don't get wet.

    i find it meaningless

''the existance of the earth and the properties that made it possible for biological life to develop depend on very fine balance between the so-called constants of nature.if they were more than sligtly different either panets wouldnt occur or the chemical processes for life wouldnt take place''. hawking

    now think them for evolu..

  • @sngcoach MUTATIONS ARE RANDOM ! NATURAL SELECTION PICK UP GOOD ONES SO EVOLUTION IS BASED ON RANDOM PROCESS

WHY are evolutionists trying to show some mistakes in animal's body for example dawkins tried it in a video about giraffe's nerve because they want to explain that it was just chance!

u are probably a teenager evolutionist that saying -evolution is not chance man! haha this is based on pure chance, randomness :)

  • @sngcoach are we in a competition about being rigth? read wikipedia evolution.its mutation bias

  • @sngcoach no its mutation bias and from wikipedia.enough

  • @sngcoach silly mistakes .wht would u think if a silly person claim u made a silly mistake? anyway u dont make me feel good ,no reason to talk.bye idiot:)

  • @sngcoach damn angry evolutionist

  • @sngcoach "If selection would favor either one out of two mutations, but there is no extra advantage to having both, then the mutation that occurs the most frequently is the one that is most likely to become fixed in a population".

    interesting rigth?

  • @sngcoach if mutations are random its clearly by chance.its basis of evolution process.stop saying its not chance.

  • damn pscyologist give up cheap materialist philosophy.

  • watch carefully 0:36 this is impossible by chance!

  • @esraretin ??

  • @revilo178 this creature has been evolved by chance? if so, how could it know how to hide perfectly? try to figure out random mutations , natural selection which establish that creature. it seems impossible by only nat. select. and random mutations.its really strange.

  • @esraretin this is a feelng, not an argument. It seems impossible to me that our universe is at least 14 billion light-years across, this totally blows my mind. but I don't make the mistake to think that th is an argument.

  • @revilo178 all question is this universe is contructed or not? listen pioneer scientists.they say -it looks constructed not me saying this.

    watch?v=2jW6wdG0XPU watch 19:42.

  • dawkins u did whatever u want to become a profesor and u want all peope to be godless just like u when ur going to infinity.

  • @esraretin all he wants people to do is think man just cause ur christian doesnt mean u gotta hate it says in the bible judge not lest you be judged and to love your enemy if ur the christian u shouldnt be judging him :)

  • @esraretin well he is right ur religion is a fairytale,ur god does not exist, think critically, study history of humanity, history of life on this planet, history of religions and then ask urself whether god made man or man made god

  • @thescorpionking2020 think about that wht if there is a wall in front of ur eyes?

  • dawkins tries to force them to be godless on evolution in schools, doesnt want to teach evolution.this is bullshit.

  • didnt that girl who began to talk at 6:05 give the answer to dawkins perfectly?

  • @esraretin I think so too...

  • @revilo178 thank u! knowing that im not alone feels good.

  • 3:18 and the bravehearts' old wife is passing through to show us the god

  • Man, it just hit me. I don't personally know any athiests, and if I were to start talking about it all my friends would abandon me. Bummer.

  • A blind spot is a bad design? Yeah, okay. That's a valid argument. Cough. Add to it the fact that the eye can't zoom in 1000X, or it can't switch to infrared, or what ever you like. The question of whether it was designed or not doesn't rest on such stupid logic.

  • @circusOFprecision I think you've proven the point, Snakes can detect infrared with pits on their head, Hawks can zoom 100X, and hell, some can see... ready for this... IN SEAWATER! So creator who created the "ultimate being" in "his image" why would he let lesser creations be better D:!?!?

  • @SorryStamin

Why are you making theological and metaphysical statements? All I'm saying is that the argument that something is poorly designed from the assumption of no design is self defeating and irrational.

  • @circusOFprecision Yes but usually when something is designed logically it it obvious of that purpose, humans, animals, "created" to survive by natural selection. Not to worship or even see Mr. Invisible. If the designer wanted to be worshiped he would create something well suited for serving. Although the attention spans of ours and obvious behaviors more suited for surviving in the wild than worshiping in a church. Why do we have legs if we should always worship him and bow down?

  • @SorryStamin

I see your point, but again, you are coming at it from a religious and theological perspective. My argument is that natural selection doesn't produce experiential machines, it merely modifies them, brings them into equilibrium with their environment. So I would hypothesize that there is indeed some kind of design behind the genetic expression system. But we have to be very clear about what we mean by design. I think the debate tends to drift towards the extremes.

  • @circusOFprecision are u aware of aristocratic bullshits in ur debate?

  • @esraretin

Bullshit plural, as in bullshits? No, I'm not aware of that. What I am aware of is a system that exists that people would like to explain. Are you aware of unwarranted metaphysics in your debate?

  • @circusOFprecision thx for correction.sorry if it is unwarranted.ur mind creates a system.say that to a handicapped ,retarted person. there is no system ur life contiditions let u think about a system thats all. despite all of them. % 50-50 .

  • @circusOFprecision ''So I would hypothesize that there is indeed some kind of design behind the genetic expression system''

u cant prove it.if all these were designed how would u able to prove they are designed. designed or not %50 -50

    over.

  • @esraretin

I can't prove it? That's ridiculous. I may not be able to prove it right now, but that doesn't mean that it isn't true. One thing is for sure, you can't prove it just happened, and that chemical determinism is the reason. Seriously study gene expression. It's mind boggling. Go ahead, say it was built up over vast periods of time by undirected processes. Unfortunately, you have not answered the question AT ALL as to the origins of such a system. You're just paying lip service.

  • @circusOFprecision no. u got me wrong.i finished argument with %50-50.u re always paying lip service

  • @circusOFprecision Well seeing as there is no actual need for a designer and no real evidence for one we could still have it as a theory but an unlikely one as there is no need or proof for such. We can explain all of our features using the history of the tree of life. But I would agree that it could have been altered off certain paths or put on new ones but there is no need/evidence for it. But if it turned out there was a God or alien interference or involvement, that would pose questions.

  • "Gravity is not a version of the truth."

  • 9:06 BAHAHAHAHA

  • is it really real dawkins channel? :)

  • @esraretin unofficial.

  • You can see those teachers are too scared to speak out.

    It's because of politically correct-fascism.

  • Religious thinking is a prison. Religion is the only true evil in the world. Religious people are hindered, and usually comparable to being completely insane.

  • @wiibot15 I would encourage you to explore some eastern religions and philosophies like Hinduism/Buddhism which talk about things like reincarnation, the substance of the universe, and the illusion of self. I believe they're more compatible with evolution and scientific thought.

  • @adi87tya Curious, Doesn't Hinduism call for a caste system in India where Darker toned Indians are treated like dirt?

  • @wiibot15 That is an ancient aspect of the way it was practised which is since undergone reform. In fact, there are many reformed schools of Hinduism which reject casteism. Buddhism rejects it entirely.

  • @adi87tya I realize Buddhism is very peaceful and actually encourages "enlightenment" But it's a primitive ancient religious philosophy, I only wish all religions in the world were as pleasant as Buddhism.

And though, the Indian government has said to of destroyed caste systems it still is well alive there, I've seen many documentaries on it.

  • @adi87tya It's also extremely important to understand what the Hindu reasoning was for the caste system. It was about The Aryan clan or tribe or whatever , of Indians that were "lighter skinned" than the rest and they were said to be superior to all. We all know what this root steamed to in recent history. It's one of the first forms of, well actually it's colorism they were the same race. It doesn't matter if they don't go by it anymore it still exist in the Religion its still "by the book".

  • @adi87tya It is extremely important to understand history and the reasoning behind the hindu caste system that effects all of india. It said the Aryan tribe were superior to the rest and were above in the very religious philosophy we all know what this aryan root stemmed into in recent times. Furthermore, this is not gone and still lives - by the book in hindu. It's given indians mental scars and insecurity about themselves search the skin lightening epidemic there it's the whole country

  • @adi87tya It's well alive and still exist all over india not to mention the effects - mental scars, insecurity , and extreme self consciousness, search the skin lightening treatment epidemic in india it's the whole country. The History and religious philosophy said that the aryan tribe were superior to the rest and above and we all know what the aryan root stemmed into in recent times, this is by the book it's not taken out, it's the status quo there this is evil.

  • @wiibot15 Regardless of how disrespectful and insulting your comment might be.. I just love you for your honesty. This is what I wish I could scream at people when engaging in a theist vs. atheist debate!! Unfortunately, nobody reacts favourably to a position stated that way but it's good to know others feel the urge.

  • Yes, we are running scared. We are not allowed to teach anything new on any religious holiday, for crying out loud. We have to show unnatural respect for fairy tales. If I challenge the religion of my students, I stand to get fired. I have to approach it from a different perspective, by being a strong advocate of science without mentioning religion at all. I still have to be able to afford to put food on the table.

  • I tried the blind spot test. I could see it all. What was he on about.

  • @tkotomy If you could see it all, that means you don't have an optic nerve. That's what the blind spot is...a lack of rods and cones where the optic nerve bundle attaches to the eye. Then again, without an optic nerve, you wouldn't be able to see at all. When I was a kid and discovered my blind spot, I thought it was amazing! The constant motion of the eye helps to overcome that deficiency so we never notice it in the ordinary course of things. Try taking a visual field test!

  • @MarkRosengarten I just got back from the doctor. Apparently i'm a cyborg. Crazyyy

  • Gravviiitttyyyyyy peeeopplllleee

  • these teachers are pathetic and doing harm

  • "Gravity is not a version of the truth, it is the the truth. Anybody who doubts it is invited to jump out of a tenth floor window". How I wish there would be an analogous exercise for deniers of evolution!

  • Comment removed

  • IF this world is gods benevolent creation I am not fucking impressed.

I'll be laughing my ass off while I'm burning in hell.

  • Comment removed

  • How to convert a half atheist?

  • We have to see that in the future we will have to take evolution to our own hands.

  • i´m so proud of having been taught evolution at my 3rd world country little-town school. I'm so surprised that people with more money and academic resources cannot understand the beauty of science.

  • @CarolinaSantacruzO

    it really is sad.

  • Did anyone else's jaw drop when they saw that octupus run and change its color and texture?

  • i don.t get it where is your faith !!

your devil wil take care of us later !!

no need to be angry !!

  • The teachers in the video have a few misconceptions. First they thought is is their role that determines what they should believe, or that they sincerely believe that there are multiple versions of truth and to "respect others" -- but more so, is that doing what Richard Dawkins proposed, would mean they have to confront their students, which will harm their relationship -- they do not want to admit it, so they try hiding it.

  • Dawkins is so awesome because he is saying it's time to start treating religion like all science is treated and not backing down from winning the debate. Creationist have no science or evidence so we tell them we don't just roll over and let them spread ignorance.

  • 8:02 look like all the teacher are all going to cry and look real sad when told the truth

  • If I were one of those science teachers he was speaking to I'd have looked him in the eye and said "I just don't want to lose my job." It's easy for Dawkins because his career's not in jeopardy. One pissed off/crazy parent is all it takes to fuck up your life when you're a teacher. School boards are likely to side against you to keep their hands clean. We need to make it safe for the teachers before we get on their asses about this.

  • sometimes Dawkins can be an ass..

I mostly agree with him, but sometimes he makes atheism sound like a religion

  • @tortelli we can all be asses.

  • @tortelli Not so.. I think some people are uncomfortable to him because he goes against a lot of society's rule and convention i.e. not to stir up arguments or conflicts by questioning/criticizing other people's idea. We tend to equate religious belief with culture and custom. We are fully aware of how religious people regard their faith as part of their identity -- to criticize religion, to some people, amounts to a personal attack or a threat to their identity.

  • i didn't have wisdom teeth, thus i am more evolved

    WINNING

  • Botched bodies aren't evidence of evolution, they're evidence of sin. Before Adam and Eve were kicked out of the Garden of Eden, they didn't have blind spots in their eyes. And yes, I know what you're thinking, and this is true for other animals as well. Obviously they sinned, otherwise they wouldn't have blind spots in their eyes, either.

  • @acr08807 HAHAHAHHAHAHAHA i hope you're joking or thats just sad.

  • @acr08807 The pope has a blind spot.
