FYI. That song by the Beatles Let It Be.That was not intended as a religious song. It was Mother Mary as (Marijuana). Quite fitting but not intended for tragedy or religious purpose.
McCartney said he had the idea of "Let It Be" after a dream he had about his mother during the tense period surrounding the sessions for The Beatles (the "White Album"). McCartney explained that his mother—who died of cancer when McCartney was fourteen—was the inspiration for the "Mother Mary" lyric.
while im reading this so many of us said we need to pray .But the true is not only praying we need action and change pagbabago ng sistema ng ating bayan para maituwid ang lahat ng pagkakamali at disiplina yan ang wala sa pinoy kulang tayo sa disilplina kaya sinapit natin ito.

The Bible is so clear, "Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth." ~ Exodus 20:4.
That is a commandment from God, not about sounding good or if it offends other religion.
"And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition" ~ Mark 7:9
andoyandoy pls. don use this you tube to debate and explain so many things for this sitwasyun....people that affected by typhoon neds our helps,,,its up to them to change and realise for thier own spirit. so the best thing is try we help each other and pray for those who sufer.and God well cover them

And I wasn't explaining the situation on why this flood happened here in the Philippines, initially i was just expressing my sadness that despite this flood, this tragedy, people still believe in images/idols.
Didn't you say, "This is Gods call that we ned to comeback to him"? I believe that too, comeback NOT to an idol but to God only.
ok thats your choice...people r nt the same. so this is like a riminder. if you can accept to yourself........we r nt in philippines this things happen thats y how sad we feel for those people r affected......we r willing to help and we wan to be sure were to give our donation

We can all make it. God is always there for us, it's just all a wake up call. God loves us all believe me!
If there is somebody to be blamed for what happened (although I know its nobody's fault really) it should be us. Man deserves the consequences of his actions.
Its so sad to think that we need to have this kind of tragedy to show compassion and kindness to everyone. to realize that we all are at constant war to the constantly changing world and we only have each other to survive.
walang mali sa imahin even im nt Catholic,,,, this is us, we pilipinos Gods calling us how holy u are, without believing in imahin or if ur heart and you have a rotan attitude this is the reality. This is Gods call that we ned to comeback to him He is caling everyone to comeback ur with hearts and soul no wan to blame this is Gods call..................
This is so we can live our lives, the way it is pleasing to Him and not the way we think it is.

Nalungkot ako at marami pa ding pilipino ang naniniwala sa mga imahen / idols.. they still cling to it despite tragedy. It's time we as a Nation know who the real God is. The one true God not confined in a statue.
"(3) Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
(4) Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth." ~ Exodus 20:3-4
There is no need to call it god, all it takes is to bow down to it and serve it (Ex 20:5). If we cling to it even in worst tragedy, then isn't that serving/worshiping the image? Aren't we to cling only to God? In Ex 25, Moses made it then reading further to 2 Kings 18, King Hezekiah, did what was right in the sight of the Lord, he removed the high places and broke the sacred pillars.. etc.. that Moses made, because until those days the people burned incense to it and called it Nehushtan.
The lady in that flood, cling to the Blessed Mother as her source of comfort. Do you know whose example she followed? Its no less than Jesus, who cling to the His Mother Mary for comfort during his painful passion.
Those verses you are citing refered to people worshipping this stones, per se, as their gods.
Andoy, please read 2 Kings 17, it explains why he did it. The semarians were people bringing their idols from their homeland to Israel so King Hez destroyed anything that people offer sacrifices to including Nehus...
Pepper, 2Kings 17and 18, compares two different kings, in different time periods one after the other, the latter king, one who followed the Lord, destroyed anything given reverence to except God.
I can't recall in the Bible where Jesus clung to a graven image as a source of comfort, whether stone or wood.
"hindi mo alam ano ang nasa puso nya", One thing's sure, pinahalagahan ng babae ang imahen. And isn't that a form of reverence? Isn't anything we put first or revere ahead of God an idol?
What is the greatest gift Jesus gave to humanity before He died?
-It was His Mother, when He said "Son, behold your Mother, Mother behold, your son!"
Time will come when Jesus will ask you, have you accepted that gift? During your lifetime on earth, how did you treat My Mother?
Andoy, i understand if its hard for you to grasp it. But humbly ask Jesus this, "Lord Jesus, my only God, please help me know, understand and appreciate the gifts you have given us."
Jesus never gave his mother to mankind. In John 19: 26-27. Jesus called the attention of the deciple whom he love to passed on the care of his mother to the desciple. Being the eldest its their culture for the eldest to take care of their mother. Knowing he would soon die, he must entrust her care to someone.
Jesus gift before He died was Himself in the flesh. His flesh was offered as a sacrifice for our sins so we can receive His greatest gift, eternal life by making Him the Lord of our lives.
The video you sent (PM) sounds so religious, but unscriptural. Where in the Bible does it say that Mary is the most perfect creature? The Holy Scripture tells us to receive Jesus (not Mary), the Son of God in John 1:12 " But as many as receive Him (Jesus Christ) to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name"
what can i say..AMEN!! Most filipino are so called religious and church goer but they DO NOT KNOW what's in the bible and the world of GOD. I do realized now now about god's word to the support of my husband without him I would not know how flip a page in the bible...so people need to wake up when they go to church the need to pray heartedly that come from their heart. God keep a record of us our behavior..we can li but god knows what we lied about..
All the teachings of the apostles center on faith in Jesus Christ, our Lord, the Son of God, Who paid the penalty of our sins with His own blood. He died but live again that He might receive for himself those who received him during their lifetime.
most literate pple say its an ACT OF GOD, but if we recall bible history, GOD provide us the WORLD to live in, abundant of good nature then men used there intelligent to abused & build for the destruction of nature, this is only a warning coz it struck on daylight imagine if it happens on night time...?

God makes it clear, if you make a graven image and call it God, the Virgin Mary is not a god or goddess.
For your awareness God actually asked Moses to make images in Ex 25: and in Ex 32 for how God views commandments to be broken.
