The Bible is so clear, "Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth." ~ Exodus 20:4.

That is a commandment from God, not about sounding good or if it offends other religion.

For your awareness God actually asked Moses to make images in Ex 25: and in Ex 32 for how God views commandments to be broken.

There is no need to call it god, all it takes is to bow down to it and serve it (Ex 20:5). If we cling to it even in worst tragedy, then isn't that serving/worshiping the image? Aren't we to cling only to God? In Ex 25, Moses made it then reading further to 2 Kings 18, King Hezekiah, did what was right in the sight of the Lord, he removed the high places and broke the sacred pillars.. etc.. that Moses made, because until those days the people burned incense to it and called it Nehushtan.

The lady in that flood, cling to the Blessed Mother as her source of comfort. Do you know whose example she followed? Its no less than Jesus, who cling to the His Mother Mary for comfort during his painful passion. 

Those verses you are citing refered to people worshipping this stones, per se, as their gods.

Andoy, please read 2 Kings 17, it explains why he did it. The semarians were people bringing their idols from their homeland to Israel so King Hez destroyed anything that people offer sacrifices to including Nehus...

Pepper, 2Kings 17and 18, compares two different kings, in different time periods one after the other, the latter king, one who followed the Lord, destroyed anything given reverence to except God.

I can't recall in the Bible where Jesus clung to a graven image as a source of comfort, whether stone or wood.

"hindi mo alam ano ang nasa puso nya", One thing's sure, pinahalagahan ng babae ang imahen. And isn't that a form of reverence? Isn't anything we put first or revere ahead of God an idol?

what can i say..AMEN!! Most filipino are so called religious and church goer but they DO NOT KNOW what's in the bible and the world of GOD. I do realized now now about god's word to the support of my husband without him I would not know how flip a page in the bible...so people need to wake up when they go to church the need to pray heartedly that come from their heart.
