I love Deep music and I can definitely sense Sneaker Pimps is deep, but I am not sure what to feel here. I am some what lost on what to say about this band, I do enjoy them, maybe spending more time with them will help my understanding.
whatever pills chris is taking it fucked him up, but gosh this is one of the strongest most important artists to this genre, let alone all of music history.
very moving! Great Song About people who are not and may not be socially accepted in some society's that what i get from it when i listen to this song.
@RSKev1 the whole album is one of those that makes just sitting there more interesting...but especially driving and walking. this album and splinter are the bessssttt for that.
It made more sense when I first heard it, since I thought the lyric was I'll be crossing the street not you'll be crossing the street, so I thought the entire chorus was about suicide. Hence "crossing the street"(slitting wrists) "if looks could kill I wouldn't need all the pills"
but again it doesn't make as much sense now that I know the lyrics.
@sephyr242 because you thought being different meant suiscide? pfft.. it's still just as prevelant, you've just moved on to picket fencing. you'll see one day. It is no measure of health to be well ajusted to a prfoundly sick society... don't let being a rivethead detour you from that truth.
@Rane909 I only thought it was about suicide because of a few misinterpreted lines, why are you getting all self-righteous and preachy? Does no-one listen to you in the real world?
@Rane909 I find it idiotic for you to try an explain an artist's lyrical content/meaning. No one will ever know exactly what he is trying to put into perspective. And honestly whats the point in who's right or wrong, with music of this quality it should be about what you interpret and how it makes you feel. Am i wrong here, or did that practice just die in the 90's alongside real music???
@txjfk936 I'm sure he's told someone exactly what he's trying to say? no? oh ok then. Awesome song still.
The funny thing about sneaker pimps is to this day they are the band that made me really care about music, and out of the first couple of groups I ever listened to Sneaker Pimps still catch my attention so completely.
Bloodsport is such an underrated album. In my opinion it is far superior to any of the early Kelli Dayton stuff. The production quality is amazing; it's the kind of cd you can listen to over and over without ever really tiring of it. I hope their next album can top it.
Lol I actually have to agree. There are only a few songs with Kelli I can listen to many times, including How Do, Walk the Rain and Clean. The others are really good too but I can't listen to them so many times over and over haha. Her vocals are interesting but not for a whole album. Chris def has a more approachable voice.
oh and Spin Spin Sugar is another I like by her. Tho I think Chris has redone it live? Or maybe that was 6 underground. Which ever it was, it sounded awesommmmme xD
Yes, agree =] I do wish they hadn't split, or that they'd collab with her. I miss her voice with their music sometimes. I can't help but wonder what they'd sound like in a song together. Prolly pretty freaking awesome.
One of my favorite songs from Bloodsport.

"Crossing the street" means that people who see the blacksheep while walking towards them will cross to the other side to avoid them.
