  • @turk1991turkboi Mate, ever since the Ottoman turks fucked up Constantinople your country has been shithouse. All you cunts are good for are making kebabs.

  • @turk1991turkboi Mate, the British gave Australia bogus directions. Stop big noting your country. You were on a hill with machine guns for fuck sake. Hardly heroic stuff.

  • Last time i heard this it was played and sung by the scots guards, it brought tears to my eyes when i thought of the meaning

  • wow, this is sad!!!! but I guess a tribute is always sad somehow.

  • I have never heard this song before, but it sent shivers up my spine and brought tears to my eyes.

  • absolutley beautiful, a very good tribute to the fallen . 5*****

  • I have been to Ypres - as well - my Grandfather fought there - WE MUST NEVER FORGET THE LIFE THEY GAVE FOR OUR FREEDOM

  • Beautiful tribute btw...

  • My Gran lost 2 brothers in WW1...one in Flanders, the other at Gallipoli. I went to Ypres in Flanders 2 years ago to the Menin Gate to find my great uncle's name on the wall...one of 70,000 without a known grave. They stop the traffic and play the Last Post EVERY SINGLE night there in memory of those men. The night I was there a male choir sang this song....I absolutely blubbed!

Gran went on to lose 2 sons in WW2. A very very tough price to pay. A lot of heroes were those who got left behind.

  • Diolch yn fawr

  • When you go home, tell them of us

    And say

That for your tomorrow, we gave our today

No words can adequately describe the sacrifice of men and women we honour today.

Not for fame or reward, not for place or rank

Not lured by ambition or goaded by necessity

But in simple obedience to duty as they understood it

These men suffered all, sacrificed all, dared all and died

  • I fully agree with Carligi : thanks to all those men, killed because of our liberation during the years of WW.II and those who fought for us and survived. And also thanks to Katherine for this beautiful song.

  • With tears in my eyes I listened to this song. Thanks to all the allied soldiers that freed Holland in the years 1944/1945 I am still alive. There are many war graveyards in Holland and each time I pass one of them, I enter in silence to pay my respect to those who didnot return home.

Thank you for posting this video, very emotional.

  • Well done sir, many gave their lives for the freedom of others who may never be greatful.

  • My grandfather was one of those soldiers. Thank you. He returned home, but never spoke of what passed in those years. However I feel he would be proud - and was proud - to know he saved lives.

  • You can be proud of your grandfather. He was one of those who had to go, and luckely enough he survived. But so many lost their live. May they rest in peace. Thanks for your reaction.

  • thankyou for sharing your very moving tribute,i lost my blood in italy, fighting for great britain...although i never new him, i might have, my heart goes out to all that have been lost, on all sides, and to those that fight for the right to be free citizens, we all want the same ...freedom...peace to you all, the fareway organisation

  • "Ours is not to make reply, Ours is not to reason why, Ours is but to do and die"

RIP to all who died innocently in any war.

  • turk1991turkboi, yes...your country lost a lot of its soldiers at Gallipoli. They died honourably serving the country they loved, they died honourably. I'm British myself. It was a terrible battle, but both sides should be proud of their fallen countrymen.
