I don't really understand why were they longer on the sing off than on the rocks. Yes they are good but I always felt that they are just not really in the mood. They seem a little bit forced. I always preferred artists who were much more into their songs. But of course Courtney is amazing. Her beats in paparazzi were beautiful.

There's one part that always bugs me. At 2:17 you can see Courtney has her right hand on the mic and her left hand is above her head, and the instant they cut to the other angle, not even a second later, her left hand is on the mic and her right hand is going down by her hip. I don't know why I first noticed it, but it bothers me every time I compulsively watch this video.

I love the paparazzi part so much...

I'm impressed with the end of the arrangement, pulling all three songs into the closer. Very cool.

Another fave moment was at the end of poker face, where the lead singer slows it down dramatically - with great facial expression.

Enjoyable, with some of my favorite moments on the show visually - but surprisingly even better when I'm NOT watching them sing. They are tight. It's I-tunes worthy.

I don't know why BB featured that last girl so much in their performances. No offense, but she is just not that good of a singer. @friedchinks i agree, it certainly is curious, i think it was the producer's meddling. they decided to take joanna and catherine to the thanksgiving day parade concert so i think they wanted the backbeats to feature those two most prominently.

rachel is better looking than courtney so i don't think it's a matter of producers didn't want to not show a slightly less good-looking person on camera.

@bandner9110 Jerry Lawson and the Talk of the Town were much much much better than OTR and deserved their spot in the top 4, they were better than Committed too, Committed should have been 4th, Backbeats 3rd, Jerry 2nd and Street Corner as the winners.

Least favorite perfomrance from the backbeats, I think it was the changeing tempos that killed it for me, if they would have kept it all at the same regular pace I would have liked it better. The best part was the end when they meshed the three songs together.

Despite how the contest voting resulted, this is the winning performance. These guys are so origional, deep in talent, and purposeful in their musical arrangement and choreography. Watch again and I think you'll agree. This and their "Landslide" performance was just beyond the scope of what anyone else was doing. Winner.

i loved this medley my fav part was paparazzi they went a different route and really showcased the lyrics and mean of the song and i loved the clashin bell tones and the delay on the beatbox it gave the song an enchanting yet haunting sound which wut the song represents

The only thing I didn't like about this performance was how slow paparazzi was. I like the normal tempo. But Otherwise they were awesome!!! And I wish they would show off the boys more.. Everybody loves it when guys sing!!!

@darbbe123 That's not a reason to keep them on. The goal is to get a recording contract, and OTR's on-stage energy doesn't translate to a record. They're fun to watch, but they were musically the weakest of the groups. Same as the difference between the Bubs and Nota in the end of season one. I would rather see the Bubs live, but listen to Nota on an album. Same with The Backbeats and OTR.

@pete21982 Actually in the actual world of recorded acapella, energy does matter. In fact it is one of the biggest things that makes a 5/5 album become a 4/5. Both the Bubs and OTR have both made highly rated, and sometimes even award winning albums in the past from RARB, CASA, and BOCA so it is not as though they do not know what they are doing in a studio.

@justpassingby Well it is abovious that you aren't musically inclined to realize that The Backbeats were definitely better. If you had a trained ear you would be able to tell that the Backbeats arrangements and their singing (blending) were so much better than On The Rocks. Granted, On The Rocks put on a good show and were fun to watch, however they had pitch problems in many of their songs. Their Elton John Medley was all over the place. The Backbeats were dead on in their performances.
