the only thing about San Francisco is that it's incredibly expensive to live here. i guess if you're a student you could take out loans and live on a campus, but otherwise it's super pricey. there are lots of transitional homes here for people who are having a hard time finding a place to stay. i'd look into the Arc of SF - most of the residents there are transgendered and it doesn't really cost anything to live there. finding a job here in this economy would be very hard.
I've been hearing that it's pricey. I'm looking for a room to rent in a queer friendly home on craigslist and I've found decent places in and around San Francisco.The economy is pretty bad everywhere at the moment and I know I'd be able to more comfortably find a job in SF compared to Jacksonville.I'm looking forward to being happier, not needing a vehicle and not working some place I expect to be harrassed at daily.Thanks for letting me know. It may come in handy and I'll keep it in mind.
