I'm a WoW 2.4.3 player.

I am a huge fan of Lord of the Rings, and I admit that I am dissapointed by Lotro.

The graphics are all right, but there is a tiny part of anime in the game, and the HUD is... not dynamic to say so.

I'd rather go for WoW's cartoon not-anime graphics with spontaneous gameplay and dynamic HUD.

I also admit that WoW is a very good fairy tale game, and lotro a game of epic legendary proportions... but it just doesn't suit me :)

LOTRO and Aoin are both good, i'd pick LOTRO for RP and PvE and Aion for PVP, PvE and mass raid PVP (200vs200 etc)

I've played most of the top end MMO's out there...including WoW....and LOTRO is my favorite by far. Rather than just tell you to go kill....bring back item and get reward....LOTRO has great storylines that actually tell you why you're doing it. The storylines are actually interesting too...from the random solo quests, to the group instances, to the raids. The classes are all masterfully created and they all work very well together in a group. LOTRO is a blast...check it out!

I could never really get into this game. I can understand how the game might be appealing, and it has an interesting story that intertwines with the gameplay very well, but I personally found the combat to be boring in my opinion. The graphics are rather nice, and in the new free version they have DX11 features even. I personally prefer FFXI/FFXIV, but this game seems like it could be fun given the proper commitment.

I'm doing the lotro trial at the moment. The graphics look good on ultra high but there is one thing that really anoys me in this game and thats the obect and texture pop-up you see when getting closer to a distant place. I've seen entire towna poping up out of nowhere :S This is a good game and i was thinking of giving it a try after the trial but the object pop-up keeps me from doing it because it ruins the immersion.

I really wonder what's up with DX10 graphics in LotRO? most of it looks almost the same as my DX9 Ultra Settings (Radeon 4830). Only water is clearly more realistic than on DX) and maybe there's some more bloom or HDR here and there on DX10. I doesn't look so mindblowing as I expected though.
