While it is absolutely right to condemn these thugs for what they have done, it is not right to suggest "not buying egyptian goods or going on holiday there" because that penalises hard working egyptians who I'm sure would join with us in our condemnation. Standing outside the egyptian embassy demanding that the particular police officers be identified and punished is a more targetted response.

Shame because the majority of Egyptians are really friendly and welcome foreign tourists with open arms. While it is absolutely right to condemn these thugs for what they have done, it is not right to suggest "not buying egyptian goods or going on holiday there" because that penalises hard working egyptians who I'm sure would join with us in our condemnation. Standing outside the egyptian embassy demanding that the particular police officers be identified and punished is a more targetted response.
