@kvasicek100 Domestically in the UK, the 24 hour BBC News Channel (formally BBC News 24) does not carry advertisements. So when trailers for shows are complete, in the gap before the top of the hour, they play the countdown. BBC World and BBC World News have also taken up this practice to fill gaps between adverts and the top of the hour.
