@raginroadrunner Have you looked at FRPP??? The FR500 line of Mustangs??? Ford is racing what they sell! Check Grand Am, SCCA World Challenge etc. What about WRC? The Focus? The Feista? So, what you might be saying is they have nothing at Pikes Pike......Ok I can under stand that but, You can go buy a Boss 302R or a Boss 302S and Run it-race-Drive One. I'm driving one of the old FR500S at Northwest Hillclimb Ass. here in the Northwest USA! You need to drive one before you smack talk! Good luck

@MustangsAndTigers ...Go to any NHRA drag strip and the Ford pro stocks are gone!!!..don't preach to me junior..I've been racing Fords since 1964 and I have watched them do some of the stupidist things imaginable over the years. They are sucking wind again... they have nothing to offer for drag racing, they cannot win at Nascar to save their asses, they seem to put some of the most unqualified people in their cars, but NHRA Pro Stock takes the cake..Ford is a loser in racing. Sad, but true.

the audi quattro we speak of below in rally car fourm. they were fun to watch and were a hand full to drive! the pikes peak quattro was tuned up to 650 hp from 550hp

yes there is only TWO miles of dirt left!!! I'm not trying to take anything away from todays times up the hill, i'm old school and This dude in the audi was freaking flying being ALL GRAVEL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ...."Röhrl in 1987(lol) Audi quattro 600hp - 10:47,85 (100% GRAVEL!!)".... much less only 1/5 of the gaurd rails towards the top back then! and 30 YEAR old rally car technogly !! all though the audi we speak of was far ahead of it's time and set a high bench make for others to match!

My fascination with the Pikes Peak challenge started for me with the original Gran Tourismo for the Playstation 1. I got the Honda 1000hp Pikes Peak racer, and it was impossible to drive.

Ever since, Pikes Peak has been in my mind. Stupid and maybe childish, but true :-)
